welcome to the city of lumiose, where i indulge in my love of pokemon to make a miraculous AU out of it (this is just a standalone for fun btw, I'm not going to continue this or anything)

I feel like Marinette's pokemon are mostly self-explanatory (did you guys know Leavanny is known for being a pokemon that makes clothes?). Adrien's are all either single-stage or not-fully-evolved because I feel like it's symbolic; he too is still on a journey of self-discovery, yknow? + absol with the angel wing imagery + minior with the "hiding behind a mask" symbolism. And then morpekos because, you know, hamsters (i think it's technically supposed to be a guinea pig but shhh)

anyway, please don't roast me for my choices lol, but I am interested to hear what other pokemon you guys think they would have! the pokemon they keep in their boxes, etc. there were some others i wanted to give them but I limited myself to only 6 each

(btw... Gabriel trying to get to Xerneas and Yveltal works scarily well. thank u lumiose for being so miraculous coded)

I’m more posting this after RE-WATCHING CLIMATIKA FOR THE FIFTIETH TIME.

AND ONLY JUST REALIZING HOW SERIOUSLY EPIC MARINETTE IS.

I love the post going around saying that Marinette isn’t shy, she isn’t, but has a lot of spunk. I almost want to expand on that with her fashion designer-ness. Not really to inform anyone because I’m pretty sure everyone under the sun has noticed except me because wow, do I feel slow not realizing!

How long have I been in this fandom again?!?!!?!

So, most obviously, we learn in-show that Marinette has made hats, loves making hats:

“No, Manon, it’s not done yet!”

“Everything is handmade…”

“Voila!”

And even a banner:

All of those were obvious, she and others say outright that Marinette has made those things. We even see her making the Pigeon Hat for the competition:

So why do I care so much about this? Because it wasn’t until I re-watched episodes yesterday that I noticed Marinette’s purse:

Actually going to reblog this again with the script because I know it’s not loading for some people. This is the first interview Kishimoto did right before Jump Festa back in December where he says Naruto and Hinata are his favorite male and female characters.

Announcer: Kishimoto-sensei’s answer? Kishimoto: Since I can’t say various names as my favorite, I like all of the characters, but of course it’s Naruto. Announcer: By the way, what about (your favorite) female character? Kishimoto: Female characters… it feels kind of creepy to say I like a character that I made. I like them all. But I like Hinata. Ramen chef fan: What’s that?! If we had asked this question at the beginning of serialization, we might have known the ending!

And now here is what he said in the current interview: *MK = Masashi Kishimoto Q: Who is your favorite female character and why? MK: Does this mean within my own Naruto or? Q: Yeah. MK: I’m kind of a little shy of having to mention a character that I myself created… Uhh… I guess maybe I should say Hinata. Yeah, I think I’ll go with Hinata. Q: Why? MK: Why? I guess because she’s not violent at all. *staff laughing* MK: Yeah Sakura she’s kind of a hard woman. Q: That’s Sasuke’s problem now. MK: Yeah yeah you’re right! Q: He deals with that by not being home. Translator: *Translates that line for Kishi* *Kishi and everyone laughing*

OH MY GOD WHAT.

I mean we got a glimpse of Tikki's true form in Dearest Family, but WOW, didn't expect to see her and Plagg so clearly!

Also their combined form is named "Gimmi", which is pronounced the same as "gimme", which seems awfully on-the-nose given that Gabriel wants Gimmi to gimme the Wish.
