Had a really bad storm about a year ago. Being the photographer that I am, I got home from work around 6pm and it was already looking pretty scary. As soon as I got home, I grabbed my camera and drove out to a clear, wide site I like to take pictures at. As I was driving there, the radio was instructing everyone to get indoors as soon as possible. To find a safe place in your home and stay there until the storm passes. To stay clear from windows and warning people to get off lakes immediately. And here I am, leaving my house to get pictures of the wicked storm. I cant even begin to accurately describe how it felt to be outside, but I can try anyhow. I got my camera set up and ready and it was so humid, so heavy, the wind was intense and the thunder was super loud and deep. You could feel its vibrations in your chest. It was such a powerful experience and I'd definitely do it again in a heartbeat!!
