Aslihan Malbora as Ayda Akman in Her Yerde Sen Episode 6Â
look who just moved into APARTMENT 4A! is that ASLIHAN MALBORA? no, thatâs definitely JACQUELINE YILMAZ! rumour has it the TWENTY FOUR year old is a MUGGLEBORN and used to be a RAVENCLAW student but now SHE/HER spends their time as a HEALER. iâm sure theyâll be a great addition to the apartments since theyâre KIND-HEARTED and GIVING, despite being A PUSHOVER and ANXIOUS. take some time to settle in. just remember rent is due on the first!
the color baby pink covering everything, hands wringing behind your back, a gentle hand soothing hair back, the word ânoâ spoken shakily, the iâs of words being dotted with hearts, sex on the beachâthe cocktail, a bird being freed from its cage, a pure white sweater covered in tiny red hearts, makeup impeccably done, smile lines at a young age, the scent of vanilla and lavender
Jacqueline spent a good chunk of her life as an only child to a relative comfortable muggle family. Her mother used to comment that she was a remarkably easy pregnancy, easy birth, and an easy kid. She never cried, never complained, and it was often said that she woke up smiling every morning. She was the kid asking her mother if she could help with the groceries, with the housework, with her parentâs failing marriage. Even as a child, she became a little therapist for her mother and father, making them sit down at one point to talk about why they should stay together. The intervention didnât work, but both of them were touched by their daughter. She grew up flitting between two houses, but adored by both her mother and father.
The summer after her fourth year at Hogwarts, she met Jaime, a muggle boy around her age that moved by her fatherâs house. Jaime and Jacqueline became fast friends, writing letters back and forth throughout her fifth year of school, and when she came home for Holiday Break, he asked her out. The pair started a steady relationship which lasted years, fueled by constant letters and young love. Jacqueline was smitten, and Jaime had plans for them. A ten year plan. Heâd go to school, theyâd get married, have some kids, then heâd work on writing his first novel before going back to school to get his teaching degree. Only one problemâit didnât seem like heâd much considered what Jacqueline wanted. Even after explaining what she was and what she wanted to doâhealingâit seemed like he thought sheâd leave the magical world behind for him. Her parents did, as well, and when he proposed at a graduation party for the pair of them ( which sheâd told him not to do ), she found herself unable to say no in front of her sobbing mother.
The entire engagement made Jacqueline feel like she was drowning. She loved Jaime; shouldnât she be happy? Her mother had taken over the whole wedding process, her father footing the bill, and his family planned to cover the honeymoon. It felt like she wasnât involved in the slightest, like she was merely witnessing the events as some sort of fever dream. She got sick after she saw herself in her wedding dress, but she tried her best to press on. After all, sheâd never let anyone down before. But she began losing sleep, stopped eating, and people had begun to notice that Jacqueline wasnât well. They put it all off on wedding nerves, but the night before the wedding itself, Jacqueline, running on three hours of sleep and an odd sense of determination, grabbed her honeymoon suitcase and a few special personal belongings and fled into the night, escaping into the Wizarding World and finding herself sobbing in a bar in the Phoenix Circle. Found an apartment the next night, work a week later, and the rest is history.
Jacqueline is a very firm believer of the outside-in approachâthat is, if you dress well on the outside, youâll feel good on the inside. Itâs very rarely that someone would find her without her hair, makeup, and nails done. It makes her feel good, dolling herself up, and sheâs decided that itâs a good enough reason to continue doing it.
Jacqueline is allergic to cats, despite having a deep love for the animals, and will suffer a running nose just to pet a stray for a few moments.
Jacqueline cut off contact with her family and ex-fiance after she left the muggle world. She has a million voicemails from her mother, yelling and screaming that sheâd ruined everything. After years of never saying no, it felt like she was being punished for taking care of herself. Sheâs lonely, though, without them.

Kneazles were known for being a good judge of character, rather protective and guarded creature, but the lack of negative reaction immediately gave Teddy a good feeling about this Jacqueline girl. Heâd have hated to tell her to leave because his pets didnât like her â but that didnât mean he wouldnât. âAnyone who likes animals is good in my book,â he responded with a shrug of his shoulders, hesitating only briefly when she offered him another. Accepting it after a pause, he doesnât take it right away, leaning against the door jamb. âHow long have you been here?â He wouldnât pride himself on being very observant any time soon, so it was an honest question, voice full of curiosity. âIf I had known baked goods were this close, I would have been on your doorstep.â Too forward? He was never sure where to draw the line.Â
Jacquelineâs eyes darted back down to Athena, resisting the urge to bend down and pet her. The kneazle didnât know her well, and to be honest, she wasnât sure if her cat allergy would translate to a kneazle allergy. âSame in mine. You can tell a lot about a person by how they treat animals.â Maybe she should get a pet. It would keep her company whenever she got lonely, though with her odd hours as a healer, she doubted it would be the kindest idea to whatever creature she fell in love with. âAbout a month. Iâm still getting used to the area, in all honesty.â She gave him a small smile, happy that he was enjoying her baked goods. Sheâd have to remember to drop things off by his door. She blushed a little at the comment, her smile growing a little. âWell, Iâm over at 4A, so consider this your open invitation. If you smell cinnamon, youâre welcome to come running over, Teddy.â She could use the company, a friend, and he seemed kind enough. âPlay your cards right, and I might start taking requests.â

Music blasted in the background: a normal occurrence in the apartment. Silence was death. Itâd been amazing that Kat had even heard the knock but once she had, sheâd climbed up out of the sofa and shuffled her way to the door. Clad in nothing but a pair of fuzzy socks and an oversized sweatshirt, Kat flung the door open, only to fix her face with a puzzled look. One that grew strong the more the girl spoke. âThatâs weird,â she blurted, her thoughts rarely filtered before being spoken into existence. Still, she reached for a cookie and immediately bit into it. Snow White would be disappointed. âThatâs fucking good though. You know,â Kat started, body leaning against the frame of the door as she chewed slowly between words, âmy mom used to try to make these and they always sucked. Never enough sugar. âSugarâs the devil, Catherine.â Like, okay, then why are you making cookies then? Ridiculous, right?â She asked, eyebrow raised before she took another chomp into the sweet.
Jacqueline paused, a bit taken aback by the strangerâs words. She supposed it was odd, showing up with baked goods for a someone you hadnât met before, but it was the only way she was going to not waste these sweets. As much as she loved Snickerdoodles, she didnât love them enough to go through five whole trays of them without feeling sick to her stomach. âYeah, I guess it is a little weird--â she trailed off, about to turn around when the girl--Catherine--kept on talking. She blushed softly at the compliment, happy to watch her new neighbor munch away at the cookie. âWell, we all have our own recipes.â She didnât want to step on anyoneâs toes, but she was a little bit happy that her cookies were beating out someoneâs momâs. âHave another. Take as many as you want, really. I baked loads.â
samishafiq¡:
âOh, uh, hi. Iâm Sami.â Sami blinked, processing her request before reaching out and taking a cookie as he was told. Taking a bite, his bewilderment grew into a large smile. âThis is really good. Whatâs your secret?â
âHonestly? Itâs just knowing the right amount of butter and sugar in any recipe. Anything else is a trade secret.â Jacqueline flashed him a bright smile, feeling more at home talking about cooking than she had in weeks. âBut I bake a lot, and I live on the fourth floor, maybe youâll be able to figure it out before long.â

There was a meowling sound from the living room only seconds after the knocking began and Teddy followed the pacing steps of the kneazle at his feet all the way through the living room, as if she was leading him. It always happened when they had guests; she stuck close to his side, on guard and in anticipation.Â
Teddy hadnât exactly been expecting company today, apprehensive himself until he opened the door and the sweet smell of cinnamon and vanilla hit his nose. They smelled like the burrow around Christmas time and it took him a second to register the strangerâs words. A small, polite smile crossed his features, offering a quiet, âNice to meet you, Jacqueline. Iâm Teddy,â and then he gestured down toward the kneazle sitting by his ankle, âand this is Athena.â And without need for further prompting, he reached out and accepted an offered cookie, never one to turn down sweets.
Teddy. Jacqueline had to remember that. They lived to close to one another, so surely heâd be a face sheâd see on the regular. She was about to greet him, when the sight of the little kneazle at his feet drew her attention away. âOh, sheâs precious,â she cooed, bending down slightly to get a better look. Itâd been months since sheâd been able to visit the Wizarding World; during her engagement, she simply was told she didnât have the time. Seeing a little creature like Athena made her feel right at home, and she leaned back up. âIâm sorry; Iâm a real sucker for animals.â She knew she wasnât just a sucker for animals, though--she was, in general, a sentimental fool. She watched as he eat the cookie, moving the plate closer to him. âHave another, please. I made far too many.â In an anxious bought, sheâd found herself baking cookies at four in the morning, unable to sleep. For a moment, she was unsure of what to say. â--I live right down the hall. Iâm really surprised I havenât run into anyone yet, so I figured Iâd introduce myself.â Her mother had always wanted her to be more forward, after all.
After about a month in Phoenix Circle, Jacqueline felt like she was finally adjusting to her new life. She no longer cried herself to sleep every night, her new job was coming along fine, and sheâd been able to find a few new spots in her new neighborhood. Still, she was lonely; sheâd lived at home up until this point. She missed her mother, missed the smell of her cooking in the kitchen ( though Azkebab seemed to do the trick when she was feeling particularly sad ). She missed Jaime, how he was before the engagement and before she realized how little he actually listened to her. She missed her Papa, his bright laughter and love of pastries. It was that love that now brought her door to door in her apartment complex, trying to make new friends since she desperately needed a community of some sort. Plate in hand, she tried not to jump back at the door flung open, revealing her neighbor.
â--I thought it might be a nice idea to give out cookies.â Now, though, it felt a little childish. âIâm Jacqueline. Iâm new, and theyâre snickerdoodle. Take one.â
âNever wish them pain. Thatâs not who you are. If they caused you pain they must have pain inside. Wish them healing.â
