Wynne happens to be one of my favourite characters actually, so I respectfully disagree on the 'fuddy-duddy' comment. It's okay if she's not your favourite, we all like different things!

I do happen to like the dog too, but I still think it's interesting that an animal scored higher than (to me) a well-written middle aged woman character.
