Hi! I was reading your post and suddenly remembered that i was confus about Same thing too.. How do you think, why Tom didn't propose to Jade?

And also (maybe weird question), do you miss them?

I mean Tom and Jade. I love how happy Jade is now with her family, but my heart wish she could have everything she does now with Tom

yes i think it is very peculiar that tom didn’t purpose to jade. i really do think its because of his career and how focused he was on it back then. i also think that tom was slightly imature compared to jade. to be honest i think he still kinda is in my opinion.

in all honesty yes i do miss them. i wish they were still together and had lots of pet dogs and children, and could just be together forever. i love how happy jade is now, but i wish she could’ve been like that with tom if he didn’t take it all for granted.

I just found this blog and I don't know if anyone's asked this already or if it's an old topic but why did Jade and Tom break up?

While we only have Tom's account (through his memoir) about their breakup, it's been safe to assume that they grew out of their relationship and they wanted different things.

Tom was going through mental health struggles and reliance on alcohol, and I assume that Jade was ready to settle down and have a family. I don't think Tom was ready for that. I think they were in love for many, may years but they dated from 2008-2016 when they were 21 - 29, and you are just kind of a different person at 29 than you were at 21. Couples that start dating that young either grow apart or together, and I think they just grew apart.

I think the year following their breakup (Jan 2016) was a bit rough and they likely saw other people but were still seeing each other off and on. I say that because their playlists on Spotify from that time reflect what it feels like to break up with your very long-term girlfriend/boyfriend in your early 20s.

I could go on forever about this topic, lol, but I think in general they grew apart. Jade once commented on an instagram post (now deleted) that Tom cheated on her. In his book he said that he was staying out too late making friends with pretty bartenders at Barney's Beanery so I think that is part of it too.

yes i think that possibly they kinda drifted apart, but i think the biggest factor to this was toms drinking problem. that’s what i think drifted them apart. in my opinion i think tom and jade were meant for each other, but how tom treated jade towards the end was not right. he was out drinking all the time and cheated on her. i think that if tom never had a drinking problem he wouldn’t of done that, i also think he was surrounded by the wrong people. i think in the end jade deserved better. it was very shocking that tom and jade broke up cos they had almost been together for 10 years. it also shocks me that in that time tom didn’t even propose to her. i think there’s allot of things tom regrets, and breaking up and cheating with jade is one of them. do you guys see how tom can not be in a stable relationship after jade? and that after jade and tom broke up he just slept around?? he misses jade 100% i don’t doubt it. he even dedicate his own chapter to jade. i know that tom definitely tried to win jade back. last year ish i posted a thing on tumblr proving that tom re tagged jade in a picture from 2015 and he re tagged her in it just a couple days after jade got engaged to patrick. to be honest im happy jades happy and has kids that she wanted, but i wish tom acted better and realised what a wonderful women he had, but he didn’t realise until to late and it didnt work. i still think tom misses jade. he’s sung lots of songs about her in 2020 on insta live that where aimed at her. tom also got depressed when jade got married and had there first born rafi. such a coincidence right….

There seems to be a confusion whether to count 2007 as for when Tom and Jade’s relationship started….

Jade clearly said in an old Instagram post that their first date was on February 10 2007 while Tom seemed to count from 2008 onwards

So perhaps they started dating in 2007 but wasn’t official until 2008?

I don’t know, it seems weird that it’s not consistent.

I’m guessing because there was on overlap with other girls? I remember Tom was heavily linked to Phoebe Tonkin from 2006-2008.

It's very confusing yes, Tom also said spending 3 months with her drinking tea. Tom said April 2008. Jade said February 2007. But if you remember Jade's Instagram post she posted a photo of her saying there first date was to "London Zoo" on February 10th, 2007.

Another silly story:

I left to Ireland my last of year of school and since Jade had already gone off to Uni at that point, she was able to travel between England and Ireland! I had my first son at 16 and my best friend Tammy who was in Jade’s year, would often go to Dublin to help me to care of him or would babysit him. One time, Jade went to Ireland for a job interview and stopped by and looked after him for a few hours with my best friend while I went on a date. He had just turned 1 so he was still wearing diapers and when I came back from my date, Jade and Tammy were spraying Victoria secret all over my living room while my poor baby’s diaper was about to explode! Safe to say that was they’re last time babysitting🥲🤣🤍

hellooo it’s the girl that knew Jade in school haha! To answer your question, yes she does follow me back ☺️! And here’s a silly story about how her and her friends saved me from getting in trouble with one of our professors. I was about 16 and Jade was in her last year at school since she was a year above me, but basically it was the last few days before Christmas break and all my exams were done so I decided to go to this small area near the loo where most of my friends had gone to avoid going to class. So I’m there for a good hour and then a professor walks by and catches me and starts to question me. Of course i start to lie and then suddenly Jade and her two friends (whose names I think were Emily and Gia) come out of the loo and start saving my 🍑! They lied and told him that I had given Gia a pad (lol) and that it was her first period so we were all guiding her through it! He absolutely did not buy it but he just let us go anyway, it was hilarious! Also Gia must’ve been 18 at that point so them lying about that made it even more funny!😂😅

Hello! friend of mine said that this blog is for jade gordon fans? Never in a million years did I ever think I’d see something like this LOL! (Not that it’s a bad thing, I just didn’t think people made blogs about girls I grew up with!) I went to school with her for 2 years before I moved to Ireland, and one of my old friends was super close with her so I used to hang out with her and her friends. I remember talking to her and she was very shy but very sweet! She was a bit posh though hahaha! It wasn’t until my last year at uni that I found out she was dating Tom, I found out on MySpace😅. I haven’t seen her in YEARS, but I often respond to her stories on Instagram but that’s about it! I have some stories from those years and I’d be interested in sharing them!
