Jade Diamond

British illustrator Jade (McFarland) Diamond (b. 1992) graduated from the Arts University Bournemouth in 2014 and now lives in London. Influenced by the scary things that lie under children’s beds, Jade’s work is a fusion of the imagined and the observed. Missing a grand total of 16 teeth (A some-what-kind birth defect) her days of being a toffee-eating champion are over. Happy mothers day! Went life drawing today. Not my best but had fun messing about with different textures.

Wearing a top with the Timeless Lizards log, only using ink and a fabric pen, could possibly print screen onto it, maybe add a image of a lizard?

That band using my logo as there back drop, I would like to turn this into animation.

My friend is in a band called The Timeless Lizards and asked me to come up with some logo designs, these are just some roughs, just to get an idea.

If is a small book I made and illustrated for a friend, We went out with a blue wig and took photos of it, documenting its many adventures, I turned it into a book for a friends birthday, as a fun joke, our sense of humour is strange.

Today I went to some life drawing, helping me get back into it, using lots of lovely colourful inks. Happy Valentines day everyone x

Went to the London art Fair at the Business Design Centre in Islington.

It is the UK’s premier Modern British and contemporary art Fair. Where I got a lot of inspiration from.

The artists work that I liked were 

Frances Bloomfield,

Juliane Hundertmark,

Grayson Perry,

And Stephen Goddard.

All of the work i was drawn to where to messy, mixed media work, theres something fun and childish about them, but also dark, mostly using reds and blacks.

Gone back to life drawing after having a. Long break from doing art, hopefully this is the spark I need to get back!

Enjoyed the illustratiors workshop for adults by Carolina Rabei at Luton Central Library. Great to get t to talk to illustrator who has had her work published in children's books. Got to make our own witch page. Good way of trying to get back into the swing of things. #Lutonculture

After Uni I have struggled with getting my passion of drawing back. These questionable attempts are my way of trying to get back into drawing. Lets hope it improves soon x

My new drawing style. I have been practising a style and i’m pretty happy with this one. I did a self portrait (also the one with orange hair) and a few commissions, so if you like what you see message me :)

For Halloween I got to paint a ghost that was haunting the museum. I also got to be a judge for a art completion. Had great fun.
