So can an inscribed theoretically do anything so long as it can be tied to their epithet in some way? We see Giovanni use steam because steam comes from soup and the kid I forget the name of can summon sheep because counting sheep makes you drowsy. So for instance, could Barrier (I’m bad with names okay?) make barriers that set you on fire if you cross them? Could Molly summon any animal she thinks of as dumb?

Epithets are inherently tied to a user’s own perception of the word and its association. For Molly it’s much more tied to the classical “Cannot Speak” definition than the “Stupidity” definition. You’ll see as the series goes on that she only uses the “make someone” stupid power once.

This is why “Creativity” is one of the stats on the character Reveal Cards! Stamina is how much physical strength and energy a character has and how long they can use their abilities before getting tired.

Proficiency is how much of a grasp on their own powers that a person has and how experienced they are at using their abilities.

Creativity is actually the most important stat! It determines how varied your powerset is and how good you are at coming up with new applications for it. Indus has low creativity. He never thinks to do anything else with his power besides making the same barrier over and over again! That’s it! Giovanni on the other hand is very good at coming up with special applications for his powers.
