Jade got quiet for a minute as Jai asked about Beau. She hadn’t thought about it in awhile and it still made her nervous. “We went camping with a bunch of people here and I guess he got drunk. He came back to the tent and I told him to stop and slow down so he hit me. He felt really bad and I forgave him eventually because we were really good friends. It was just hard at the time but it was so long ago.” Jade shrugged when she finished talking. “I guess you’re right,” Jade said, “I guess I’m just one of the people that love them.” She said her eyes drifting from star to star.

Jai looked over at her when she got quiet, hoping he hadn't upset her by asking about it. Once she started talking, he kept quiet, letting her finish without being interrupted. "Oh... I'm sorry, Jade. I shouldn't have asked. I didn't know he got like that when he's drunk." he said quietly, looking back up at the sky and letting out a soft sigh, looking at all the stars. "Yeah, the stars are pretty cool. Especially on clear nights when you can see all the stars without the city lights messing up the view."

Blue water is perfectly fine, maybe even purple would be cool. I don’t know I didn’t even notice it was gone. I was distracted. Yeah it’s fine, I have a bandage on it and it’s all cleaned out.

I don't know if they have purple food coloring, but I'll look and see if we can have a purple pool 'cause that'd be cool. Oh, wow, my phone's my baby so I'd notice it after about five minutes. Maybe  you should let someone else clean up the glass if you already got cut by it.

"You’re pretty good, I’ve heard you sing." Jade said, "I think it’s cute. Beau had the doll for awhile without telling me and he didn’t tell me until we were together. We had an infamous two day relationship which was absolutely nuts." Jade informed him laughing slightly. Jade turned her head to look at Jai. "Because they’re so pretty and they make people smile. They just float up in the sky and don’t have to worry about all the bad stuff in life." Jade said it like it was the simplest concept in the world but she knew most people never understood.

"Well thanks, Jade. Though, I'm still not as good as you." He shrugged one shoulder. "I didn't even know they had your dolls, so I guess you know some things about 'em that even I don't know. What was so nuts about dating Beau?" He asked with a small laugh, looking over at her once she started talking about the stars. "But you can make people smile from right here on earth, so why be a star? Stars are no different from people, some people love them, others hate them. Plus, stars die just like people..." He said, hoping he was remembering his science facts right. He was pretty sure stars eventually burnt out or burst or something along those lines.

That’d be creepy! It’d still look like blood even if it wasn’t. I went back to get my phone this morning and knocked over a bottle we left there. Cut my foot open.

"Not bad?" Jade questioned with an eyebrow raised. "I have my own doll Brooks, I’d say I’m pretty good. Not to mention both of your brothers have said doll floating around their rooms somewhere. Creepy but flattering." She giggled. "We can go back for the drinks later." she brushed him off. His head turned up at the sky along with her’s. The stars we’re bright and clear and it made Jade smile. Whenever she was sad she’d wish to be one of them, suspended in the sky, beautiful with no worries. "I wish I was a star." she mumbled absentmindedly.

"Okay, you're like twenty times better than I am, but sh." He said playfully. "I swear, sometimes I don't claim my brothers... I love them to death, but sometimes, they're a bit embarrassing." He laughed, silently agreeing when she said they could go back for their drinks later. Letting himself float in the water, he looked up at the sky, running his hand along the top of the water. He never really took the time to just look up at the sky anymore. As a kid, he loved to look for shapes in the clouds, but as he got older, he just sorta stopped and never thought about it anymore. "Why do you wanna be a star?" he questioned softly.

There’s broken glass near the pool area so everyone stay clear until I can clean it all out. Unless you wanna turn the pool red, that’s chill too.
