What the FUCK do you mean HBO has cast a cisgender girl to play a trans boy?!?

You’re telling me they couldn’t find a young Asian trans actor to play the part like they did for the game?!? Casting a cisgender girl to play a trans boy sends such a harmful message, just the same as casting a cisgender man to play a trans woman would.

“Maybe it’s to stop a trans person getting hate” - if HBO gave two shits about protecting trans people then they’d do something about the unhinged level of vile transphobia Bella Ramsey and Emma D’Arcy get subjected to. They wouldn’t cast a notorious transphobe (James Dreyfus) to be in scenes with Emma in HOTD. They wouldn’t be making a Harry Potter remake to line the pockets of the world’s biggest and most notorious bigot. HBO doesn’t give two shits about protecting anyone, be for fucking real.
