Today feels like a good day for Werdo headcanons
I've already shared my pride HCs before, now for some general Werdo HC miscellany. Also MxP is definitely a thing in these HCs of mine, so please Nite-bear with me
Of the Werdo quartet, he's by far the most sensible and straight-laced. Whenever a monster is up to shenanigans, he's the first one to point out if it's a bad idea.
He, Maggpi and Stoowarb are friends from childhood that used to live far away from the Natural Islands. They eventually decided to move to the Natural Islands where they met and befriended Parlsona.
In terms of personality, he's kinda like Nikki Wong from 6teen, only less punk. He's very sardonic, occasionally short-tempered and does not suffer fools well, but generally a good person.
He is highly intelligent. He's very academically-inclined and he knows a lot about the Monster World's history.
He's an introvert. He values his alone time a lot and generally keeps to himself when not among the other three Werdos.
He drinks an inhuman (or inmonster, as the case may be) amount of coffee.
He's prone to motion sickness.
He and Stoowarb are pretty close. While Stoowarb's general energetic-ness and occasional dumb choices occasionally grate on his nerves, he appreciates Stoowarb's good vibes and can even loosen up a little around him.
He's extremely protective of Maggpi, and has even threatened monsters who had bullied her in the past.
He's an absolute Himbo™. He's very nice, but he isn't exactly the brightest of monsters and is a bit of a klutz as well.
He's by far the most extroverted of the four. He loves a party and is quick to try and make friends with each monster he meets.
He also has a big appetite. He can gulp down a Big Salad in record time.
He's a prankster. He loves playing harmless practical jokes on his fellow monsters. He generally dislikes mean-spirited pranks, unless, of course, someone picks on his friends. Then it's open season.
He loves to flirt, though he hasn't had much luck in the dating department.
He has pretty severe hay fever. Every springtime, he has to take a LOT of allergy pills so he can actually sing without sneezing up his own lungs.
As well as being close with Tawkerr, he's extremely close with Maggpi. The two have been best friends ever since they were monsterlings, to the point of considering themselves to be spiritually brother-and-sister.
He's easily startled by loud noises. The Werdos avoid bringing out fireworks during SkyPainting for this reason.
Although he's never had much luck with finding a partner of his own, Stoowarb is an excellent wingman. He's incredibly supportive of any romance that blossoms between his friends and is always happy to share romantic advice with others.
Parlsona has lived on the Natural Islands the longest of the four Werdos - she ran away from home as a Monsterling and was taken in by an Entbrat on Plant Island. As a result she spent a good amount of her life singing among the monsters of the Natural Islands, and is now seen as a leader figure by them. Monsters often go to her for general life advice.
She's the second-most sensible of the four Werdos, generally being the Mom Friend of the group, although she occasionally likes to goof off herself.
She's very, VERY confident and holds a high opinion of herself. That said, she's charismatic and kind enough that other monsters don't mind that she tends to brag.
Like Stoowarb, she's generally very extroverted, if not QUITE to his extent.
She tends to find it hard to admit when she needs help - less so because of her high confidence, and more because she doesn't like to bother anyone with her issues.
She DESPISES cold temperatures.
She loves spicy food. (She's just like me fr)
She's generally even-tempered, but she is the LAST monster you want to make angry.
She's an excellent gardener. She grows a LOT of flowers on Plant Island and likes letting other monsters admire them.
She's dated many monsters in the past, but most of those monsters were only really attracted to her for her looks. The reason Parlsona fell so hard for Maggpi was because of how Maggpi genuinely treated her with kindness and made her feel loved and cared for.
Maggpi (oh Galvana get ready)
Maggpi hasn't had it easy in life. Not only was she bullied a lot for being 'weird' and 'cold', but her parents were murdered when she was still in monster-school. Stoowarb and Tawkerr were basically all she had for a big part of her life until they eventually moved to the Natural Islands.
While she is kind of shy and socially awkward, she is the kindest of the four Werdos by far. She's incredibly gentle, easy-going and she wouldn't hurt a fly.
In fact, she might be too nice for her own good. She's so gentle that some meaner monsters can take advantage of her.
She has severe self-esteem issues, influenced by the bullying she's received throughout her life. She lacks confidence and tends to think she isn't all that special.
She's also incredibly emotional. It doesn't take very much to get her to cry - she's empathetic enough that seeing monsters going through great struggles tends to upset her, and whenever the Werdos have movie nights, she's the first one to cry whenever a sad scene comes on.
She's got a bad case of autophobia, and struggles greatly with being alone.
She tends to be a bit of a worrywart as well. She often gets very anxious about big or scary things happening and needs the other Werdos to calm her down. (This girl needs therapy fr)
She's EXTREMELY affectionate. She loves to hug her fellow monsters and even likes giving them platonic kisses to cheer them up when they're feeling down.
She's very ticklish. Her laughter is pure sunshine, and being tickled by Parlsona is one of her favorite things.
She often trims her toe claws so she doesn't accidentally poke other monsters with them.
She adores flowers, and loves going to Plant Island to admire all the pretty flowers Parlsona has grown there. Freesias and gardenias are her favorites - not only does she find them beautiful, but their lovely scents have a very calming effect on her, helping her when she's struggling emotionally.
She likes hearing about the Monster World's history. Tawkerr often tells her stories about what he's heard about the world's past.
She's an amazing babysitter.
Unlike her girlfriend, she cannot handle spicy food for the life of her.
She's very good friends with Blabbit. She likes helping him out whenever he's dealing with mysteries, and he'll often invite her to Seasonal Shanty to hang out with the other Seasonals.
While typically quiet, she does enjoy goofing off with Stoowarb, as well as Parlsona when she's in the mood for it.
She also has a great amount of holiday spirit and LOVES seasonal event celebrations.
She's a massive hopeless romantic. She finds it utterly adorable when her monster friends find love.
Speaking of romance...Maggpi fell completely head-over-heels in love with Parlsona from the moment they met. Parlsona quickly formed the same feelings for reasons mentioned above. The two are an inseparable couple who adore each other wholeheartedly - they spend almost all their time together, they're unafraid to be affectionate in public, and they'll do anything for one another. In fact, Parlsona is planning on proposing to her soon...
