Some Code Lyoko prompts themed around Aelita discovering the human world post-Season 1
Because GOD. I love the message of 'appreciating the mundane'. Aelita is a character who finds beauty in everything we take for granted due to the eternity she spent within Lyoko. And this needs to be discussed more! Plus a lot of Jerelita cuz Yes™
One day, Aelita sees two people dancing together, and she thinks it looks like fun. So Jeremie teaches her about dancing, and the two share a slow dance together in their boarding school dorm. (cue the Define Dancing score from WALL-E)
Imagine this. It's raining, and at first Aelita's like "Is the sky sad? Why is it crying?" Jeremie finds this innocence adorable, then explains what rain is. She's so enchanted by it that she runs out to experience its beauty, dancing in the cold downpour and just LOVING the feeling. (Bonus: she ends up with a cold as a result, but doesn't really mind because the feeling of dancing in the rain was so magical) (Bonus bonus: Jeremie risks getting sick himself to cuddle with her so she feels better)
Because she's lived so long without the feeling of human touch, imagine her becoming INCREDIBLY affectionate with her friends. She just loves hugging - it gives her feelings of warmth and happiness like not much else can. And her friends can't help but appreciate that, and always love getting her hugs.
but obviously Jeremie is like her FAVORITE person to hug, cause not only does she adore him but she also loves seeing his adorable flustered reactions to her hugs and kisses. And post-XANA's Kiss I can see him slowly starting to return the affection and occasionally getting her by surprised with hugs and kisses and by the end of the series they're just the cutest pair of lovebirds ever, becoming more comfortable with being outwardly, publicly affectionate even with the groans of 'get a room!' they might get
Remember when Jeremie gave her a flower in False Start? Imagine her keeping hold of that flower ever since that night as a reminder of that magical night she spent with her prince. And then one day, Jeremie takes her on a date to a flower shop, where she's dazzled and uplifted by all the sights and smells. She's so enchanted, it's a sensory paradise for her, and as a result, the two spend all day there. All the while, Jeremie watches her having fun, falling deeper and deeper in love with her.
On a similar note, imagine her LITERALLY stopping to smell the flowers every day, simply because it's something that makes her happy. Like imagine her and the others heading out to some place, but they get held up by her stopping every few moments to play with some lavender bushes or smell some pretty blooming roses. Odd's like "HURRY IT UP" but Jeremie just finds it so adorable and sweet (and he ends up picking a few flowers for her along the way)
Imagine her discovering food for the first time! She'd probably find something she'd absolutely adore. Imagine if she finds herself loving Brussels sprouts just as much as Jeremie, and imagine Ulrich's reaction lmao
Imagine her getting to meet Kiwi for the first time. Not only is she delighted to meet Odd's adorable dog, but she's amazed by how soft his fur feels. LET HER PET THAT DOG!
On a similar note, imagine Jeremie and Odd bringing her to a pet store so she can meet even more cute and fluffy critters, and it's just such a delightful moment to her. She gets to meet all sorts of adorable creatures and just has the best time.
Here's an idea that sticks with me, the kids have a movie night. Aelita gets all curious about the idea of movies, and how forms of art like that can effect people. Yumi shows her Studio Ghibli's filmography, and one film that absolutely enchants Aelita is The Tale of the Princess Kaguya. It dazzles her with its beauty and of course it brings her to tears, but in a good way. She's amazed by what it makes her feel, and it becomes her favorite movie. She still comes back to it time and time again, even as the series goes on. (Let's just pretend the events of CL happened during the 2010s or later for this one lol)
One of the photos from the iconic photobooth moment involved Jeremie tickling Aelita. I can see Aelita thinking about this moment for a while, how something like that made her laugh so much and gave her such a good feeling. So she asks Jeremie to tickle her again so she can feel the same feelings she did in this moment (and of course Jeremie is totally in love with her adorable laughter)
Imagine this. The kids have a picnic one day during the springtime during a break they get from school and XANA craziness. While Ulrich and Yumi try and keep Odd from eating all the food they brought, Aelita just absorbs the gentle sensations of spring, from the warmth of the sun to the feeling of grass under her body to the scent of blooming flowers in the fresh air to the sound of the birds' gentle harmonies. It's a small moment for anyone else, but for Aelita, this moment means everything. She's waited to feel these things for so long, and they feel more wonderful than anyone else. And seeing the love of his life appreciate these little moments helps Jeremie appreciate these sensations too. Before meeting Aelita he took it all for granted, but now he has such a strong appreciation for the world he lives in. Earth is a beautiful place, and he's happy to be living here - and even happier seeing someone he cares for so much find happiness within the world's beauty.
And even as the series goes on and Aelita experiences so much struggles, every so often she remembers how lucky she is to be able to experience this life and this world. Jeremie makes sure to remind her often about the wonders the life has. Every so often he brings her out on private dates to both remind her of the beauty she's experienced, AND the beauty that still waits to be discovered. And because of Jeremie's guidance, Aelita finds comfort in life's wonders and the majesty this world has. And she'll always remember how wonderful it is to be alive.
That got emotional at the end lol. But man. Appreciating life and its small wonders has been my philosophy for years - and I've always seen that philosophy in these two!
