“As if you’d give me that much power.” The brunette said as she looked him over with a raise of her brow, wondering if he was actually being serious about letting her pick which girls he went after. A scoff came at his next question, shaking her head. “No, thank fucking god.” She was done with having people around, especially after her latest break up.

“I would. You might have better taste than me.” Jak smirked, unsure of if it was true considering they were both single. He was a bit curious as to who had been in the apartment while he was away. “I’m happy I can walk around naked, and because no one is good enough for you.”

It’s the least you could do—” The girl would be lying if she said she hadn’t been purposefully giving him a hard time for leaving ever since he’d come back. “Don’t make me beg.”

“I’m being honest!” He laughed his arm wrapping around Ken as he took a hard look again at the boots. “You’ll pull em’ off, you pull everything off.” He says gently trying not to offend her at all. “Plus… I might like it if you beg.”

She shook her head; smiling because one way or the other - this, wasn’t exactly how Sophie had imagined her night would go down. Driving Jak home, because she didn’t want him to walk in this state, or get in trouble, looking after him the way she would have done for anyone really, especially people she considered her friends. After all, he had done the same for her so long ago, when she was utterly broken. This, was the least the brunette could do. Getting comfortable behind the wheel, Sophie put her seat-belt on and waited for him to close the door. “Huh? I’m not giddy, I’m just happy to see you. I didn’t exactly know when you were coming back - if you were coming back even. Nothing’s new with me. I’m back at school, my family is visiting for Christmas.. everything’s getting better. Or if feels like it.”

He nods his head. Of course she wasn't giddy over him, his name wasn't Jude afterall. He closes the door slowly immediately leaning his seat back to avoid the car sickness he was prone to. "Do I get to meet the fam?" He asked with a laugh. "Promise not to be too drunk if you let me." Jakob rested as he looked over at her. "Things can only be shit forever if you let them."

Sierra missed, which only pissed her off more. “Then put on a pair of heels and a brown wig, go be me for the day—” She growled back, heading towards her apartment building. “And why are you glad exactly?” The brunette asked, turning around to face him as she struggled to reach for the door. “I’d be a great mom.”

"Don't have enough ass to be you for the day." He teases. Although he loved pissing her off, he couldn't watch her struggle. Jak quickly made his way over and opened the door for her. He helped knock in a few balloons behind her, choosing his next words carefully. "One of those so you're saying I have a chance things. One babies are involved it gives me significantly smaller chances." He explained. "I'd be a great dad. Babies?" He laughed, saying it like a pick up line.

“I do? Well, thanks, you look good too. Taller even.” She threw in a joke, though it’d be a lie if she said she could remember that detail clearly under the circumstances the two met. God, what a day that was. “Stop it, you’re gonna make me blush.” Letting out a soft laugh, Sophie’s head tilted on the side - unable to just believe how sweet, full of compliments he could be while drunk. Pressing the button to unlock the car, the brunette stopped before she went for the door; taken aback by his reaction. “I have no idea what’s.. gotten into you, Jensen. But I did miss you. Now get in, before both of us freeze out here.”

“Thanks. I guess I wasn’t finished growing.” He teased. The truth was that he wanted to make her blush. He wanted to be the reason why she was blushing. He’d put a lot of thought into Sophie while he was away, and for whatever reason he wasn’t able to take his mind off of her some nights. Jak listened to her making his way back over to the car door. “You gonna tell me what’s new with you? Or should I guess as to why you’re so giddy?”

It was rare that the woman got to leave school grounds at lunch time, but for once she had a free hour, so anouther teacher had agreed to cover her class. Munching on an apple she read the horoscope section of the paper with deep investment. Hearing something above her she glanced up, meeting the eyes of the person in front of her with a bright smile. “Sorry, were you talking to me I was utterly in a land of my own.” The blonde laughed lightly, putting the reading materials onto the table.

On his lunch break Jak usually liked to people watch. They always took their lunch in a different part of town so it was nice to see different types of people. Today they were near the school. Dressed down in his EMT t-shirt and dark navy pants he couldn’t help but notice the woman across the way. She must have been a teacher but she was oddly fascinating. It’d been a while since he had seen anyone under fifty reading the newspaper. He approached cautiously not wanting to scare her. “I’m sorry but my phone has been slow lately. Not a lot of texts and so I’m going to need your number to change that.” He said confidently with a smile on his face. “Cause the fact you just said utterly in a land of your own made my heart sing a bit.”

“I feel like we need another shot.” He said honestly. Jak wasn’t exactly fond on any type of deep conversation. Most times he found it to be frustrating while he was intoxicated. Feelings weren’t much of his thing. “Don’t think so much, Liam. Shit’s alright.”

“You look good, Soph.” He knows in his drunken state he’s not doing the best at conversation. But it was something that wanted to pour out of his mouth from the moment he saw her. “You look like a winner... like fuck, you look like a beautiful god damn winner.” He wants to spin her around but keeps his hands in his pockets. She’s on the other side of the car but before she can open her door he’s yelling for her to wait. Jak makes his way to the driver side, opening it for her. “You’re right...I am gonna spoil you rotten.”

“Oh my God, just kill me now…” Hazel sighed loudly and looked down at the empty mug and plate in front of her, her phone glued to her ear. She sat like that for a couple of seconds and then looked over at the person closest to her. “If you’ve been first in line for the duration of an entire mug of tea and a pretty big piece of pie, wouldn’t you say they’re bullshitting you, and it’s time to hang up?”

Jak sipped on his coffee. He knew the phone call was at least something of semi importance for her to stay on the whole time. But he had missed Hazel and wasn’t making the time out of his day to stare at her becoming annoyed on the phone. He dramatically slammed his hands down onto the table. “Hazel Boyd you hang that god damn phone up right now or so help me god I’m coming over to that side and tickling the shit out of you.”

Aubrey was walking back to her house from practice trying not to show the pain she was in at that moment. Her legs were screaming from being on pointe for hours and although this wasn’t something new to her she’d tripped on the way this morning, a nasty bruise having bloomed on the top of her thigh. Although most people thought of ballerina’s as incredibly graceful creatures when they weren’t actually dancing they could be very clumsy, and Aubrey was one of those exact people. As she walked down the street the girl didn’t pick up one of her feet quite enough, catching her toe on a slightly raised cobble which sent her almost headlong crashing into the pavement, save from catching herself at the last second so it was only a slight trip. Glancing over her shoulder she saw someone behind her, they’d clearly caught what had happened. The girl’s fear of someone known she wasn’t utterly perfect took over with a vengeance. “If you ever utter a word of what you just saw to a single living soul i’ll make pain you’ve never experienced rain down upon you until the end of your days, make sense?” She asked in a sickly sweet voice, although her eyes were cold and dead. Her thigh now, screaming with pain, which was making her visibly wince and feel incredibly nauseous.

His partner drove him crazy. It felt like they were constantly calling in for breaks over the radio. A bathroom break, smoke break, or the wildly famous I just don’t want to work so let’s make up an excuse break. While Jak was a slacker in his day to day life, he was a hard worker. Work was one of the main things that kept him motivated. He leaned against the ambulance watching as the girl walked by. A small second of thinking she looked identical to someone he had once known quickly passed as she went tripping over her own two feet. The words that poured out of her mouth surprised him. “Are you being some sort of Game of Throne character for Halloween? I swear that’s been in an episode before.” He’s turning his back halfway through to open the back of the bus. A bandaid and disinfected in his hands now as he approaches her. “May I?” He asks gently bending down now in front of her.

Her blue hues were completely bloodshot, giving the illusion that she’d actually been doing work for the past three hours, when that couldn’t have been further from the truth. Letting out a loud sigh, she turned to the person nearest to her and held up her laptop. “Should I buy these boots in black or in brown?”

Jak looked up from his laptop filled with the newest netflix show. He didn’t mind spending time with Kendall even if they were distracted by technology. “Are you being a hooker for Halloween?” He asked honestly once he saw the boots. “Cause these totally remind me of --- nevermind.” He teased.

It came naturally to him, after all. “Don’t tell me they’re giving you grief in there?” He asked, pausing. It’s what kept him coming back. Getting drunk for cheap was his forte. “I wouldn’t head in there if I was you, it’s a power trip. I think I’m gonna hit up the one across the street.”

I feel like I just got a lesson in life and also compared to satan all at once.” He laughed, taking a deep breath as she told him who her celebrity crush was. “You can’t pick someone that I can beat up? That’s just harsh.” Jak explained. He took a deep breath, finding himself imagining the things that Jason Momoa would do to her. “I mean --- just picture him while we have sex. Maybe that’ll be good for you.”

Jak leans across the table to press a kiss to Tessa's cheek. "Better not, I'd put you in a headlock." He slid across a scarf he had gotten while in Ireland, along with a coffee mug. "I come with gifts, but also surprisingly well. I think I have a girlfriend now in every country I visited." He said it shyly as if it was nothing to be proud of. "I was busy... we could say that."
