I always had hopes of being a big star. But as you get older, you aim a little lower. Everybody wants to make an impression, some mark upon the world. Then you think, you’ve made a mark on the world if you just get through it, and a few people remember your name. Then you’ve left a mark. You don’t have to bend the whole world. I think it’s better to just enjoy it. Pay your dues, and just enjoy it. If you shoot an arrow and it goes real high, hooray for you. PARIS IS BURNING (1990) dir. Jennie Livingston

Been missing Sufjan’s face lately? Don’t worry, you can see him here lending some piano to Angelo De Augustine’s “Time” recorded live at Reservoir Studios.
I just want to sit and stare at nothing and silently scream for the rest of time.

So when the ep released there was a very strong thunderstorm happening at the time. so i tried to recreate that religious experience
“I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before and more importantly, you’re Doing Something. So that’s my wish for you…and my wish for myself… Don’t freeze, don’t stop, don’t worry that it isn’t good enough, or it isn’t perfect… Make your mistakes, next year and forever.”
