please don't use third world (i think it's considered derogatory) and use developing countries instead
"Developing countries" is a neoliberal euphemism which implies that poor countries are poor because they just havent developed a proper capitalist infrastructure yet. The phrase "third world" comes from the "Three Worlds Theory" of Mao Zedong which divides nations into categories based on the patterns of exploitation they fall under (with "third world" nations being colonized and exploited).
"Third world" identifies oppressed nations as being colonized and exploited, "developing" implies that they have failed to adopt neoliberal policies and open themselves to foreign capital.

Native American man who attended anti-police brutality rally is killed by police the next day | ICTMN December 24, 2014
A man who participated in an anti-police brutality march and rally in Rapid City, South Dakota, on Friday was shot and killed by police a day later, according to reports.
Rapid City Police identified the victim as Allen Locke, 30, of Rapid City. At about 6 p.m. Saturday, police were dispatched to a subdivision known as Lakota Community Homes to remove a person from a residence there, the Rapid City Journal reported.
Pennington County Sheriff Kevin Thom, who was on sight investigating the shooting, told the Rapid City Journal that Officer Anthony Meirose fired his weapon after Locke allegedly charged him with a knife. Police are saying Locke was shot up to five times by Officer Meirose. Locke was pronounced dead at the scene.
The day before the shooting, Lockeâs family said he had attended the #NativeLivesMatter Anti-Police Brutality Rally and March in Rapid City.
On Monday, Lockeâs family released a statement calling on the community for peace.
âWe genuinely appreciate the prayer vigils and ceremony circles that are being organized in Allenâs memory; this is a crucial time for our family as Allen is making his spirit journey,â the statement reads, as posted on Last Real Indians. âWe feel the communityâs hurt; we know you are angry, we know you are sad and we know everyone is on edge as a result of Allenâs violent death coming off the [sic] heals of his participation in the #NativeLivesMatter Anti-Police Brutality Rally and March a day before this horrific incident. There are many details that we will share in time but we are trying very hard to hold it together and to be strong and peaceful in order to send our loved one off and to give our children an appropriate holidayâs memory.â
The family is asking for privacy during their time of mourning.
On Monday, the victimâs family was scheduled to meet Rapid City Mayor Sam Kooiker and Police Chief Karl Jegeris at 10 a.m. MST. People were scheduled to gather outside the mayorâs office for a prayer gathering.
Both the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation and the Pennington County Sheriffâs Office are investigating the shooting, according to the Associated Press.
Captain Dan Rudtold reporters that tasing Locke was not an option. Officer Meirose is on administrative leave, according to FOX affiliate KEVN Black Hills.

Justice for Reynaldo Cuevas
Reynaldo Cuevas was shot and killed by an NYPD officer on September 7th, 2012, after escaping from an armed robbery at the bodega he worked at. He was dragged 25 feet away by police and left to bleed for 20 minutes as witnesses yelled at them, informing police that he was an employee of the store. A few days later the community held a vigil for Reynaldo and marched with his family to the 42nd precinct to demand justice. Since then, the Cuevas family has held a candlelight vigil every Saturday at the corner of the block here he was killed. Less than two months later, on October 27th, the NYPD rammed into the dirt bike Reynaldoâs cousin and friend were riding, killing one and paralyzing the other. A witness from the scene says the NYPD rammed into the dirt bike purposely.Â
We need to let the NYPD know, they cannot get away with this. We will not give up. We are stronger.
