ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear ladies and gents, friends and enemies;

Do forgive me, but I cannot keep my muse going. I have tried hard, watching my film collection over and over again, and going through trailers for the new PAN movie, but I am even having trouble writing my own novels. It’s been an honor to work with you all over the last two years, and I have been greatly honored by writing for the great Captain Hook. 

Thank you everyone for the fun. 

I will be keeping the page up for an independent JAS Hook. If the muse returns, I will re audition. I am sorry to those who I had been working with and to those that I had been developing threads with. I did try. 

Katy and Raven, you are amazing rp partners.

Tropical Vacation

Captain James Hook stood in his cabin staring out the windows of his quarters to the rolling waves that the ship left behind. There was so much distance covered with each pass around the world, and many mysteries and curiosities had been answered. But it was times to go back to their roots and why they did all this traveling. 

They were pirates. 

And it was time to start acting like a crew of misfits. 

To a degree.

They would begin with a treasure hunt . . . or a few hunts in the Caribbean. Hook still had possession of many maps that needed to be thoroughly sifted through and followed. 

And Hook’s pockets were beginning to run short of funds to pay his men as well as fed and provide.

“Captain,”

“Yes, Mister Black?” 

“Where we be heading, sir?” 

“Haiti, good sir, Haiti. Set the course for ten degrees north  by northwest,” 

“Aye aye sir,” 

They would begin their treasure hunts there.

Stranded

“James is fine,” he  mumbled still looking at the splendor of the palace. Hook rarely let people call him by his name, but then again he was not about to say no to a queen who had just opened the palace to him. He wasn’t entirely hungry but he would oblige the queen.

“Of course,” Hook answered in regard to the idea to tell his tales to the queen. He was of course curious about this place and then it hit him. “I should have no trouble finding anything,” 

Was this the same queen, who was the friend of the snow creature Marshmallow whom he had met in the mountains above a few months back? He would have to ask at dinner.

“Well James, I will leave you to it then. Dinner will be served in half an hour.” Elsa said as she opened the door to his room. “I suggest you wash up a little.” She said nodding to him and walking towards the dining room, thinking about the stories she had read. 

The one’s she had told herself she would tell Anna once they talked again. She wondered if this was really the man she read so much about.

Hook hesitated as he stepped into the room he had been given and sat down in a chair near a window. He wished he knew what was going on his ship and where they were. What had caused them to abandon him? He would run the man through for this. 

He stood, and paced forgetting the idea of dinner only for a moment until he whirled about in a slight fury and nearly ran into a chest at the foot of the bed. 

“By gods,” he cursed in anger more at himself than anyone. He removed his coat and sat down on the bed. “What am I doing here?” he was about to have dinner with a queen who was not is beloved Marina, and in treacherous waters that would lead to possible trouble. 

He ran his hand and hook through his hair letting the claw scratch the back of his neck. Captain James Hook had no idea what he was going to tell the queen. What kind of story would satisfy without throwing himself out? Neverland seemed to throw him into the corner with the insane, and those that believed him knew what he was. 

Perhaps when this was over it would be time to return to his past, and be more cutthroat. He was sure his men would be pleased with this idea. 

Then again, what would Marina think?

This was not the time or place for such a mental conversation. Rising from his place, he crossed the room, removed his shirt, and washed himself using the towel and water basin provided. Captain Hook straightened himself out, pulled his shirt back on and checking himself, placed on a face of someone not concerned about his issues and made his way out the door. 

And then it hit him. 

Where was dinner going to be served? 

He hesitated, but closed the door behind himself and slowly made his way down the halls, certain at the very least he would encounter someone who would be able to guide him in the right direction.

Bar fight

Not every night serving in a tavern was as boring as one might think. A chain of events had set in motion, and now punches and kicks were delivered in every corner of the tavern. Aimee hid behind the bar and Desiree made a dive for the door, opening it and nearly running into someone. 

“Excusez-moi, but you better not go een now, zere is a fight going on!”

It was one of those nights where the crew were too much to listen to. Captain Hook needed a place to lie low and had traveled inland for a brief shore leave. Things had flopped and the men were growing restless. From tracking legends that had already been uncovered by someone else to the recent treasure trove that they had lost in a duel in their recent trip back to Neverland. He was going to have to come up with a new plan. 

Hook made his way through the evening light to a tavern and his hand reached for the door. 

And was taken aback when the door opened and a tavern maid rushed out nearly tossing him to the ground.

“What the blazes is going on in there?” he countered rather surprised more than angered by the commotion.

Stranded

Hook followed without speaking when she went over not judging a book by its cover. He did like the idea of being in a place where he wasn’t judged by who he was or had been. It was amusing and impressive for someone clearly educated enough to know who he was not judge so soon. 

But his thoughts stopped the moment the doors opened to the palace. He hadn’t seen anything so intriguing as Corona in the last few years since he had left Neverland behind him. Arendelle was one of the top places that he had to admit that he liked. 

"Well, this is rather beautiful," he muttered to himself forgetting that he was in the company of royalty.

“Well thank you, James. If I may call you that or are you rather addressed by Captain Hook.” Elsa said as she walked towards the guest section of the palace. “Dinner will be shortly, I’m sure you must be hungry seeing as you’ve been standing at the dock for a good hour, I’m sorry to admit but I was looking at you.” Elsa said as she rounded a corner.

“If you seem to have any trouble finding anything you just have to ask one of the servants, they will be more than willing to help you.” She continued. “I wonder if you would like tell me about your travels, before you leave.” Elsa asked being curious if the man before her was really the Captain Hook she had read of in her childhood, the same person that made her forget that her life consisted of being in her room all day.

Rest

Captain Hook blinked as the sun burned into his eyes. There was sand in his boots and based on the position of the sun it was later in the day than he had hoped. His crew was nearby collecting goods to take back to the ship, and he hesitated on rising just yet. He was rather comfy despite knowing that he was getting a mild sun burn. 

Slowly Hook stretched taking his time to reach around and scratch the back of his neck lightly with his hook, his socked toes curled his the sand. Shaking out the sand in his boots, he shoved his feet within and stood. 

“Progress?” he asked groggily.

Mistr Teynte answered first with a rather pleased mood, “Well, your sleeping grace, we are nearly ready to take off once again. Perhaps within the hour if the tide stays with us.”

“Good,” Hook nodded and turned to watch his crew as they moved about in an orderly manner. It was nice to rest. After that ship that they had blown away, Hook was still on edge and barely slept. He was too on edge that after all the work they had done that the one mistake would ruin them.

“Let’s bee sure to be under way soon. I don’t want to stay in one place too long.”

Sinking Ships

Fire blazed in Captain Hook's eyes as the ship before him began to sink into the depths of the sea below. It had to be done. The Portuguese hadn't left his ship's backside since dawn, and had followed them too far out from land to be a coincidence. 

There had been no reason for this sudden follow, but Hook turned his ship about, watching as the enemy had drawn close, cannon hatches had been already open. They were hiding nothing and so Hook answered by ending a volley of cannons into their starboard side, low and close to the water line as a warning. 

"Captain," Hook's eyes broke from the burning ship to Mister Noodler. 

"What is it?" to be honest, he was tired from being followed. 

"We are taking on water. I have enough to patch the ship, but we must turn back for the nearest port,"

Hook hesitated, swallowing deeply, then nodded. "So be it,"

A queen? This was a surprise especially given how young she looked, but was mature enough. Hook cleared his head for now, knowing that the storm on the horizon was not  good sign. Hopefully the crew had a good reason, and if they did in fact encounter the storm, they would listen to Mister Starkey, who had sailed with Hook long before he had been made captain.

"I am grateful, your majesty," he admitted with a chuckle in regard to whether or not the rooms were good, "I don’t wish to be too much of a bother,"

He did pause in step at the question of the mentioned ‘relative’. 

"I am he," he glanced at his missing left hand, which he hadn’t given much attention to lately, too focused on business and plans. "I promise not to be causing any trouble while I stay," Considering she probably knew about his background then he was gonna have to play up a better person than the tales made him out to be.

“You’re very welcome, my sister and me have been taking up the habit of taking in people who look like they could use some help, no offense.” Elsa said as she walked through the gates into the courtyard.

She noticed that he stopped when she talked about Captain Hook, she did hear the stories but surely he couldn’t be as bad as the stories depicted him to be. Then she followed his gaze and saw his missing hand in which place a hook was set.

“I don’t believe in stories James, I like to get to know people for who they are not who the stories make them out to be.” Elsa said knowing that she would want people to not judge her before they met her. She wondered why his crew would go without him but decided to keep her curiosity to herself as she opened the door to the palace.

An Adventure of Sorts/Hook and Duke

The wind whipped through Hook’s hair, and his hand tightened on the wheel of his ship. This was a rather smooth passing so far, and he was pleased at how the ship did rock a bit then steadied for a brief moment. 

"Pan must not have returned to Neverland yet," Teynte observed joining the captain on the quarter deck.

It was a relief, knowing that on the other side there would only be one or two minor nuisances. 

Like the crocodile…

There was a jolt at the negative thought and Hook forced himself to think only on his beloved, as the ship entered further into the portal. Curse this shaking ship, and how this dimensional gateway threatened his crew each time they passed. 

Hook was worried on that one thought as they crossed the portal, and entered the Neverworld. The crocodile ticked at the back of his mind, as the ship lowered onto the Never Sea and he turned the helm about pointing the ship to the mainland. God knows that the poor Duke would want to get off the ship as soon as possible for as long as he could. 

"Send someone down to try and coax our guest from his quarters," Hook instructed Teynte, "Make sure it’s one with manners when you do choose. Our guest should see this land from a distance first before we drop anchor."

Theodore was correct: he should have just nodded his silly head, agreed with the Captain about this magical fairytale land, and never—ever—should have accepted an invitation to see the land for himself. His pale, thin lips formed into a stern frown as he continued to cling to the cot like a cat would cling to a tree.

He wanted to go home, now.

He quickly sat up, his speed belying his old age as he pushed open the door to his room and looked over the area before him with his eyes bulging out of his head and his teeth gritted down. His dark eyes flicked around, his skin wet with sweat as he gripped the door frame to his room tightly.

"O—okay, I do believe you now!"

Hook released the helm over to Mister Starkey and retreated to his cabin to find a couple of useful maps to chart out a couple of safe paths for his guest to explore, and stretch his legs. Surely a man of such weak sea travel would appreciate some time on land. Meanwhile his best man, Mister Teynte had selected Mister Black, to go down to the guest's quarters and hesitated to knock the moment he heard the man shout. 

What should he say or do? He glanced over his shoulder as if he was being judged for his actions, then very gently rapped the door. 

"Pardon my interruption, sir, but I have been sent to inform you that we have reached our destination," 

He waited for a brief moment, and slowly backed away from the door.

Hey Captain :) say how are your thoughts on Miss Deville? (yk Cruella) ;)

I actually haven't met this Miss Deville. I hear that she is a rather curious fellow with her obsession with fur. She would get along well with the European royalty and northern fashions. I will answer this again when we have actually met.

"Two years.", Marina chuckled, hardly believing it. "It has been two years since we first confessed our feelings for one another. So a happy Valentines day and happy anniversary to you James.", she smiled warmly.

"Happy Valentines, my dear," Hook smiled humbly recalling the still mysterious notes that had made him confess his true feelings. "And Happy Anniversary," he kissed her gently with some passion. "What shall we do to commerate such an occasion?"

An Adventure of Sorts/Hook and Duke

Hook closed his eyes letting the fresh air above the sea fill his senses, and then opened them with a grin lighting his face. Flight was so enjoyable. He envied Pan for being able to fly without a ship. 

His hand caressed the helm again this time he was thinking about what they would encounter there in the Neverworld. All it would take is that wretched crocodile or that brat and Hook would have to defend the Duke. 

At the very notion the ship creaked and groaned slightly, and Hook changed his mind once again to somethings of lighter, like some of his new friends, and the good times he and his crew had had since they had left Neverland. 

There was no vengeance anyway if there was no Pan. And there was no life waiting for something that wasn’t coming.

They drew close to the stars then, physics could never explain why they lived at such altitude, but it didn’t matter. Cornwell, still had much to solve when it came for fairy dust anyway. 

They drew close to the star and Hook knew what came next; the portal, and the turbulence. 

"Tie yourselves down boys! We are about to have a bumpy ride," then it would be smooth sailing and a perfect landing to Neverland. 

Hopefully the portal wouldn’t be too bumpy, and rise the Duke while they crossed. He didn’t want to lose him here, as he had done with others. 

Including his precious Mister Smee.

He’d met people who loved to go on ships, and the Duke thought them all to be mad. Any rock the ship made just made his stomach queasy. And just now everything had become even more bumpy and wretched. It wasn’t until moments later where the rocking had literally knocked him out of the cot. Hissing, the lanky nobleman sprawled on the floor for a second before sitting up and rubbing his joints.

The Duke glanced around the room he was in, and gave a sour frown. He wanted to see the captain, but then again, there was nothing he could do. They were at the mercy of mother nature, and that was not entirely peachy. Theodore stood up and made his way to the window. Well, sort of. He stumbled along the way, tripping over his feet to keep himself steady.

"What on earth—"

The Duke parted the thin curtain that covered a window, and peered out. That was not the sea—he saw puffy white clouds hanging low, he saw the rolling lands and the sea just under him. Wait. Oh dear Lord! In fear, the Duke pulled himself away from the window, unsure if he was seeing things of that was really real.

"What have I just gotten into?"

His heart pounded within his chest as he lunged to his cot and curled up. Maybe it was all a dream. Yes, an odd dream.

Or this was real and he was in a deep amount of trouble. Whining softly, the Duke curled against the cot and quickly wondered how he had agreed to all this.

This is the new representation of me. I am not sure how I feel about it. Having seen several images and at least one trailer, I am a little concerned. He's a rather youthful lad, but there is no sign of dark hair, and reminds me of Captain Silver in looking more like a scheming worm. My scribe expressed to me that it was just another point of view, and that I should be pleased with the fact that the movie takes place before Mister Barrie's book. 

Any of our friends care to share their opinion on this future motion picture. My scribe thinks it will give her perspective on me, but she also said that about that curious fellow Christopher Walkin. If anyone was to portray a younger version of myself, I would be honored to name Kit Harrington. Despite not having my blue eyes, he does have my thick mess of tangled hair and at that age, my rather calm personality.

Stranded

The sound of a voice directed in his direction broke his thoughts, causing Captain Hook to jump a little. It was however nice to hear someone even if it wasn’t his own crew. He turned his face from the sea, and looked at the woman speaking to him. “Hours ago?” 

What had caused his men to leave him behind? 

Hook shifted his weight slightly, but nodded at the idea of going in. “I suppose you are right.” He didn’t know what to say, let alone what to do next. When he found the Jolly Roger, he was going to be taking heads. “I didn’t think my men would leave without any warning,” he muttered more under his breath turning slightly, for a split second forgetting about the madame at his side. 

He felt a slight chill, and glanced at the sky. It wasn’t night yet, but this northern region was known for being a bit colder. Then he remembered again firmly that he wasn’t alone. 

"I am sorry," he hesitated, "The name is James Hook," he was going to skip the title of captain. It was useless without a ship despite his dignity on the line.

The man seemed strange and talked to himself a lot, drowned in thought. “Nice to meet you James, my name is Queen Elsa.” She said as she nodded at James. “I’m afraid I don’t know much more than the ships leaving, I heard my sister say that there were rumors of a storm coming.” Elsa smiled looking around seeing no clouds at the horizon.

“Let’s start for the palace.” Elsa said as she started walking towards the palace in hopes that the man would follow. “I hope you’ll find the guest accommodations pleasing. I haven’t heard a complaint before but that could be because they don’t dare to say something bad of course.” Elsa said before realizing that she was rambling a trait both her and her sister shared.

“Is it possible that you have a relative who sails the seas because I’ve heard of a Captain Hook.” Elsa said having heard many a story of Captain Hook when she was younger and quite enjoying the adventure in the stories.
