Here is the sister 7” for The Spy Who Loved Me - Bond 77. The disco version of the iconic bond theme. Unlike Nobody Does It Better, this is a United Artists pressing, matching the LP. This was difficult to find that’s for sure, a jukebox pressing, of the 1998 single. This is the record that really kicked things off for me, finding two very different sleeves sparked an interest and curiosity outside of just one of every film - I wanted to see and collect everything.

I particularly love the way that the red covers use a photo/collage and the black have a drawn version of the same image!

Lots of different pressings of this, in fact I have half a dozen without picture sleeves that I found at @amoebahollywood that aren’t pictured here! Found these in all different places, including Copenhagen, New York and Milan, finding the sleeve that isn’t a very 80s picture of Sheena Easton is a little harder though! .

Goldfinger 7″ Close Up

Don’t often post the records themselves, but after admiring the French Shirley Bassey, Goldfinger pressing I thought it deserved its own post!

The 7” record is one of the most perfect formats of music there has been, and this is a great example of a punched/jukebox/large hole record, the labels always feel like a snapshot of an era

Unfortunately, despite searching far and wide, I am yet to come across the ‘red sleeve’ version of Moonraker in a record store, ever! I know it’s out there, I’ll just have to keep searching! I’ve also struggled to find the single too, what gives?!

Granted, the film edges towards the unbelievable, but the book is one of my favourites. And Jaws in the film is pretty bad ass.

A few people asked to hear the Italian Goldfinger 7” I found before Christmas, so here’s a little snippet!! Fausto Papetti, Alto Sax 7” instrumental cover of the the Shirley Bassey song.

I recorded the audio straight into my computer, however even after cleaning the record a number of times, it’s still a little crackly

There’s also a Gold print version of this 7” that I would very much like to find!
