 Vernon proposed to Petunia on Lily’s Seventh Year at Hogwarts. At their wedding, Petunia did not want Lily as a bridesmaid because she was tired of being overshadowed, and Vernon refused to speak to James at the reception, due to their bad first encounter.

When talking to Harry about his past, it is revealed Remus considered James and Sirius to be the “cleverest students in the school”, having figured out his secret and working out –by themselves– how to become Animagi to help their friend from the age of 11 to 15.

“Now, my three friends could hardly fail to notice that I disappeared once a month. I made up all sorts of stories. I told them my mother was ill, and that I had to go home to see her…I was terrified they would desert me the moment they found out what I was. Fourth James and Lily Week

Hello everyone! (Yes, this is really happening) As usual, before I start talking about the themes I’d like to thank you all for participating on the three other weeks I’ve promoted a few (okay, a lot of) years back, they were wonderful and this one wouldn’t be happening without your support back then. 

This week is canon based and focuses mostly on “Jily’s Firsts”. There’s a theme alternative on each day and, as usual, you may choose to do whichever one you prefer or both. The Third Canon Week will start on February 27th and it’ll end on March 5th.
