ABOMINATION TRAIN

secret samol pinch hit of the red zephyr for @Monika_E_Novak on twitter! had so so much fun doing it- here's hoping next year i'll remember to sign up for the main round in time hehee

A pen and ink drawing, done with a sepia wash, of the Red Zephyr from Friends at the Table. It's a horrible fusion of an old-fashioned steam train and a werewolf, with the engine painfully erupting from the wolf's maw. Long metal tubes spew out the front of the train like spaghetti, or feelers, twisting like living things. Bits of metal and wire stick out like whiskers from the wolf's head, its single visible eye is weeping, and its neck vertebrae are just visible inside the train engine's cab.

HEY FOLKS! it’s imbolc starting at sunset today and luckbender chapter two is finally on its way!

thanks for all your patience, i had intended to get it going again much sooner- the winter solstice would’ve been best, going by when chapter 1 ended… ah well. a lot of life things happened, i got top surgery, i moved, got a new job, etc etc, and amidst it all i had planned to start work on chapter 3, but instead i… started planning a whole new comic, which is gonna be a real corker of a project but also is not THIS project, the one i’m supposed to be working on. i’ll probably be posting more about it on my art blog @jamiedodgerart in the future! in the meantime, expect chapter 2 to begin dropping tomorrow………….

hey you all seem like a gang of internet users who’d be interested in a silly comic. am i right? i bet i’m right. so this here is luckbender! it’s something i’ve been working on for a long time now, and i’ve only just worked up the stones to actually throw it at people. so read it or i will be sad.

hi tumblr it has been a while! i’m thinking it might be about time to get back on here, twitter being what it is and all. how are you guys? i’m doing pretty good, these past uhhh three? four years? i started t, graduated college, and got a job at a garden center. i like it a lot but i’m trying to get the art career going. i also got a dog! his name is sid, he’s a very cuddly beast who loves carrots. looks worried all the time.

anyway. i made some comics and i’d like to share em with you all! one of them is called luckbender, it’s an all ages long-form comic currently 80+ pages, gonna be about 200 when i’m done with it. i’m real proud of it and i hope to launch it soon. i got a couple other shorts i’ll be dropping too. stay tuned! and have a good day, ok? <3
