AI Challenge #7 July 2026 "Dream Job"

Meet Jamie Jason, D.V.M.

Doc JJ, as her friends call her, has been serving the SW Portland, Oregon exurbs for almost forty years. She believes, as all veterinarians do (because it’s in their professional oath), that she “speaks for those who have no voice.” Given her geographical location, her practice includes a wide variety of domesticated companions

as well as many less domesticated animals in need of medical care.

And sometimes she needs to assist our wilder animal friends.

Twice a week she drives to Corvallis, OR--home of the Oregon State University School of Veterinary Medicine--where she serves as an adjunct faculty member.

And she regularly shares her wisdom at regional and national AVMA meetings.

This picture, and quotation, hangs on her office wall.

She truly loves all creatures, great and small.

Creating this entry has been great fun. I look forward to hearing about other "dream jobs" and best of luck to all the participants! Thanks so much to Nikki @astrogurlnikkipinkai for creating and running this challenge.
