Barry had been walking back from the warehouse, groaning in discomfort. He had been helping with repair in there and he also raided their food supply so he’d hopefully not have to eat in the canteen. Not watching his surroundings, Barry feels a thud against his shoulder causing his head to shoot up, “Fuck, shit, I’m so sorry.” He quickly apologizes, stopping in his tracks to make sure the person was okay.

Jamie was lost in his own thoughts as he stood outside near the pirates’ villas, supposedly helping to clean up the debris still left from the storm, but mostly just standing around daydreaming about everything he missed about home. He let out a sigh just before feeling someone’s body run into his back, nearly knocking him to the ground considering his height, lanky proportions, and lack of balance. He did somehow manage to stay upright, though, immediately spinning around to see who had run into him, “Shit, why did you do that?” His harsh tone softened a bit as he heard the apology and caught sight of the attractive man, “It’s whatever. Just watch out next time, I’m fragile.”

“Oh! My! God! The kiss meant nothing you crazy nut. I just wanted to hide from my stupid betroth and now you think I have feelings for you. Sure I have feelings for you but not the kind you think. You’re my best friend! So no there’s no look. It’s just in your head.” Unable to take the look Jamie was giving her, she dropped her head on to the table.  

Jamie laughed, seizing the opportunity she had given him to tease her, “Okay, if you say so,” he mused with a shrug, “I just know how irresistible I am and I know I’ve broken countless ladies’ hearts over the years, I just don’t want yours to be one of them.”

When he was younger, Cas had taken out his frustrations through exercise. Whether it was going to the gym that his family had renovated and placed in the palace, or running through the streets of Amsterdam in the morning, he had enjoyed getting out of his head. However, there had come a point where exercise had been replaced with alcohol and sex and partying, and while he was sure that he could get a lot of that on the island, he had taken to running because it got him away from others and out of his head, just like before. 

The task of clearing the island was a burden, and he had needed a break, so he chose to jog through the debris and any pathways created or cleared. It helped to clear his head, like he had planned, but of course, he wasn’t really paying attention to where he was running. It wasn’t until he all but collided with someone when he realized he should have been more aware. “Fucking hell,” He cursed, grabbing hold of the person so neither of them fell. “My fault. I wasn’t watching where I was running.” 

Cleaning was a rather new experience for Jamie, one that he had been unfamiliar with up until his current point in life. He didn’t mind the task so much as he had his sister to catch up with as he worked, but since she had wandered off elsewhere, he was growing ever more bored and frustrated with the mindless tidying up of the wrecked island. Letting out a sigh, he paused a moment to look over the debris with his hands on his hips, so lost in thought and complaining in his own head about how much work there was left to still be done that he didn’t even notice the other man jogging up behind him until their bodies collided. “Scheisse, watch where you’re going,”  he exclaimed, slender form nearly being knocked to the ground had he not reached out and clung to the other’s shoulders to keep himself up. It was only once he had been able to regain his balance and take a good look at the person who had run into him that his tone shifted, suddenly incredibly forgiving as he realized he was being held by someone exceedingly attractive, “It’s fine, don’t worry. I mean, I can’t complain, at least you didn’t let me fall.”

Kissing Evander was something Jamie had often thought about doing, but he always imagined he would be the one to initiate it, so his heart raced as he was proven wrong and he found the other’s lips pressed against his own. Jamie easily reciprocated, getting lost in it as he allowed his hands to wander along Evan’s torso; there was something almost familiar about the action where it seemed like it was something he had done before, possibly at a party or club they had been to together when he was too drunk to remember. Honestly, it seemed less unlikely that the two of them had shared many kisses in the past than for it to be their first kiss. Besides, Jamie had been hoping to blur the lines of their relationship from platonic into sexual, knowing it likely wouldn’t change their dynamic much since he enjoyed flirting with Evan so much anyway, so he was excited that the other was taking steps toward that.

There were so many reasons why being pinned against a wall by Pippa with her lips pressed against his own was weird to Jamie, all of which led to him cutting the kiss off almost as abruptly as it began. He pulled away with a mix of confusion and amusement on his face, patting her lightly on the back as he let out a laugh, “what exactly was that for? Have you been drinking or somethin’, Pip?” He gave a solid effort toward trying not to look too shocked by the encounter, but, really, she was someone he never imagined kissing, so it was difficult to disguise the suprise on his face.

Jamie wasn’t entirely sure what had gotten into her or what caused this girl that he had only just met to be so forward with him, but he found himself pinned between her body and a wall with her lips locked onto his own. He returned the kiss for a moment, figuring there was no harm in playing along before he pulled away with a laugh, “Why didn’t you do that when we were trapped together in the storm? I might be gay, but I still would have happily made out with you for entertainment since I was so bored.”

“I’m fine, I just have a bit of a headache, I didn’t sleep much during the storm.” She had spent the morning helping to clear a lot of the communal areas worst affected with the debris of the storm. She was tired, having spent the last week holed up under a tree or table for the most part, out in the rain. She was looking forward to sleeping in a bed again, and a warmest blanket. Yes, the little things in life truly has to be appreciated.

"Are you sure you’re okay, liebling? I can try to get some painkillers from a pirate for you if you want?” there was a genuine concern and caring in his voice, the past week of worrying about his sister culminating to their reunion. Finding her was the first task he had after the storm died down enough to leave the building he was cooped up in, seeking her out to be sure she had been okay wherever she had been stuck. Since they reunited, however, he was supposed to be cleaning up debris alongside her, though it turned out he was far more interested in just talking, “Shit, Beks, I’ve been so worried about you, you have no idea.”

Evander was crawling out of his skin, too much nervous energy from being cooped up and not knowing the fate of his siblings, but if he thought too hard about it he was going to walk out into the middle of a tropical storm and probably die. Looking on the bright side for twenty seconds seemed like his only option. At least he knew two people he gave a shit about were safe, mainly because they were trapped right where he was. “If we are dying, now’s the time to confess those deep under the surface feelings. Always been in love with, light of your life, a true lighthouse in the storm of life etc.” Evander glanced over at Jack, scoffing as soon as his eyes touched upon the pirate. “That kid? He’s the least threatening pirate in here. He was complaining about not getting to play Candy Crush earlier. And if he puts me in contact with my siblings as promised, I’m totally going to sleep with him once the storm is over. You know, as a reward. My money is on that one,” he jerked his thumb over his shoulder in Oscar’s direction, trying to be as discreet as possible. “Reeks of having something to prove.” 

The other’s words caused a laugh to escape Jamie’s lips and a feeling of happiness to wash over him; even if it was ignorant and only temporary, he enjoyed the moment. His voice became mockingly serious for a moment, laying a hand of the other man’s shoulder and looking into his eyes, “Evan, tesoro, you are my lighthouse in the storm of life, but I’m sure you already knew that.” He laughed once more before following his eyes to the pirates on the other side of the hall, “The least threatening ones are always the most dangerous. Wait, though, you’d sleep with him that easily but you won’t sleep with me? How is that fair?” When Oscar was mentioned, Jamie shook his head, “See I could say the same thing about him-- he was nice enough to agree to help find out if my sister is safe, and I also would definitely fuck him if given the chance.”

Cayden just shook his head glad the other mans mood had change and quickly too. He chuckled as he started looking through the cabinets, it wasn’t an amazing haul but it was much more then what Oz had found in the storage closets. Taking the ramen, crackers and other items out, he turned his attention back towards the man behind him. “ Is this your first time? In a tropical storm?” making a small pile of packaged food as he continued to search for more.

Jamie wasn’t actually picking up any food as he went along since he was subconsciously focused on the slim chance that he may find alcohol somewhere. He did manage to pick up a box of crackers, though, immediately opening them and snacking on them as he spoke, “Yeah, Switzerland is pretty far from tropical. We had some bad weather, but nothing like this. What about you?”

The shutter had been banging and was at risk of being ripped off and taking half the roof with it. Sometimes you just had to do shit because it needed to be done, even if it was fucking insane. So that was how Oz found himself hanging half off the roof, nailing a shutter into place during a goddamned tropical storm. One more for the list of crazy shit I do, he thought as he was finished up the task. This was when the piece of deck furniture came flying through the air and straight into him. He heard the bones in his arm snap as he slipped from the roof and fell onto the porch below. Sitting up slowly, he grabbed the fallen tool belt and crawled for the door.·“Fuck, fuckity, fucking shit … fuck…” he mumbled to himself, cradling his left arm against his chest.

Jamie was actually quite proud of himself for following through with the list of tasks Oz had given him to help out around the hall, feeling useful and productive for once in his life. That was until he heard a loud crash outside of the main door that he was standing on the other side of, causing him to drop the box he had in his arms out of shock,·“Scheisse! Was war das?” A wave of terror washed over him as his mind ran through a series of possibilities of what could have caused the noise, but he knew he had to investigate. Peaking through the door, he caught sight of the man laying on the porch,·“Oh my god, are you okay?” he exclaimed, immediately running over to him to help him inside.

“I know. It’s just a shitty situation,” he sighed, defeat in his voice. As much as he tried to hold onto his lighthearted attitude, ignoring his real worries was becoming more difficult by the second. “We could always try to ask around and see if any of the pirates heard where your siblings were before the power went out. I was planning on asking about my sister anyway if you want to tag along?”

Pippa smiled for the first time in days when her eyes locked with Jamie’s. He was here with her and safe. Two things that made her happy. If there was one person who would understand it would be Jamie. For four years he was the only person she could trust with everything. She just needed to find the courage to open up about everything. “I better be. I’d hate you forever if you left me here,” she teased, chuckling softly herself. “Missed you too. Shitty! And you?”

His heart warmed at the sight of Pippa’s smile, allowing himself a moment to forget everything worrying him and just be grateful that he had her here with him. “Shitty just because we’re stuck on this island in the middle of this crazy storm, or is something else wrong? Because, yeah, I’m also feeling pretty shitty, but that’s normal around here” Jamie chuckled, continuing on with his lighthearted, conversational tone, but genuinely feeling the need to make sure she was okay since he loved and cared for her so deeply.

Clapping him firmly on the back, “ I doubt it, if there was any I’m pretty sure the pirates would take the booze they find for themselves,” he shrugged his shoulders “ But it couldn’t hurt to look anyway. lets try the kitchenette first and go from there.” he said with a grin. 

The other’s cheerful grin seemed contagious as a matching one formed on Jamie’s face, “You’re probably right, but, hey, maybe our luck will turn around and we will find some.” With an affirmative nod, he took the lead toward the kitchenette toward the back of the hall which was, to his surprise upon arrival, not completely empty. It wasn’t the most lavish supply of food in the world, of course, but there were some options. “Alright, start looking around. All we need are some good snacks and some alcohol.”
