Hello, I know I haven’t touched this blog in a while and unfortunately I am not returning with good news. I just lost all the spark to really continue and so this blog is going to be deleted. I’m sorry for everyone let down.
Hi can I start an rp with you ?
Yeah sure. I just don’t know how long it will be for responding, I’ve been dealing with personal stuff.
🌻I spread my legs further, my head tipping back and my eyes shutting as a moan fell from my lips. I wrapped my legs around you, wanting you as close as possible as I shoved your jacket and shirt off of you and to the floor, leaving you bare from the waist up. My fingers ran through your hair when you found my sweet spot and I rolled my hips, grinding against you when you pulled me closer. "Mi amor, you always know just what to say don't you?" I murmured.
I smiled and growled, finding a wall to pin you against. “And I do believe you have the same effect on me.”
I hiked your legs up after shedding you of your undergarments. “I have missed you incredulously.”
(K.W. -T) Sitting in the common room in Briarcliff Asylum. It's my third week here and I'm just as scared now as on my first day. I have learned the rules. Don't talk to anyone - it might provoke a fight. Don't turn off the music. Never talk about what I say when I touch other people. Pepper is the only one that's nice to me. She didn't do what she's been accused of, I could see it when I touched her. Someone new is coming today, according to Sister Mary Eunice and now we wait for him
After getting the oh so friendly introduction from the staff of Briarcliff I was tossed into the day room with little to jack shit guidance. I looked around, confused as hell as a girl propositioned herself before me, before I was greeted by Pepper.
I smiled kindly to her as she led me to the couch to draw with her.
I look up as Pepper is leading the new guy to the couch opposite from where I’m sitting. He’s cute, despite the black eye and haggard look. Poor thing he can’t have gotten much sleep. I’ve heard the rumors about him but when I see the aura that surrounds him I can’t believe there’s truth to it. I must touch him to know though and that’s not something you just do, especially in here. I smile carefully as he sit down with Pepper.
“Hello,” I say, looking at him. “Hi Pepper, how are you today?”
@janalikestorp
She smiled at you and let out a small pleased gurgle. I just gave you a polite tilt of the head and sat on the opposite side of the couch.
Pepper came to me, crayons in hand and tried to give them to me. “Oh ya want a drawin’ buddy. Alright.” I said before I came to sit with her on the floor and color with her.
@likeamothtothedark
I smile and look on. “What are you drawing there, Pepper?” I wonder and move myself closer on the couch so I can see. When I do my knee accidentally bump against this man’s back. The touch I’ve been waiting for. Information flows straight into me and I suddenly know what his name is, what he used to work as, what he’s been accused of. And I also know that he didn’t do it. The feeling I got earlier is correct. This man, or Kit, as he likes to call himself, could never do that. His painful memories of coming here and being treated like a monster pains me and I gasp loudly, clutching my chest.
@janalikestorp
I turn my head and I looked concerned. “Hey, woah, ya alright? What’s wrong?” I asked you. I went and helped you lay on the couch. “You need some water or somethin’?” I asked.
Immediately an orderly came to us. “What’s going on?” he asked, immediately eyeing me. “She just got into a panic, I don’t know what’s goin’ on.” I admitted. “I think you need to go Mr.Walker.”
@likeamothtothedark
“No, no, it’s alright,” I said, sound hoarse and sat up again. “I just …” I looked around, thinking quickly. Someone (probably sister Mary Eunice) had brought in fresh daisies in a vase that stood on a table a few feet from us. “It’s just the flowers,” I said and pointed. “Allergic,” I defined and pretended to sneeze.
I smiled at you when you sat down again and the orderly went to remove the flowers. “Thank you, Kit,” I said, momentarily forgetting that we hadn’t been introduced at all.
“So I see my reputation precedes me. They probably warned all the ladies here that I’ll kill ya all.” I joked sadly. “I promise I ain’t gonna be around much, either I’ll be sentence ta fry or I’ll just kill myself in my cell. Haven’t decided how this is gonna go yet. They ain’t wantin’ ta believe I’m innocent.”
@thecallofdarkness
I shook my head, a sad smile on my face. “I know you’re innocent, Kit. Someone has framed you. I don’t know who, but it’s a bad person. He came to your home and knocked you out, planting the murder weapon in your hand … and when you woke up you had blood all over you and the police were kicking down your door.” I leaned forward and put my hand on yours. “But there’s still hope. They haven’t found the trophies in your house. He thought about it - leaving them there to really put the last nail in your coffin. But he couldn’t part from them. That’s the key, Kit.”
I looked into his dark eyes, hoping I hadn’t crossed the line or overwhelmed him.
@janalikestorp
I just looked at you a little worried, “H-how do you know that?” I backed up out of instinct, but relaxed a little when I saw the look of your eyes. “Can ya help me prove my innocence?”
@thecallofdarkness
I looked around, a little worried that some orderly would have caught our interaction and thinking I was harassing you. “It’s why I’m here,” I whispered when nothing happened. “I see things. Sometimes before they have happened, sometimes after … my dad put me here when he and mom couldn’t take it any longer. They thought I was insane. So do they,” I said bitterly and nodded toward the orderlies and the nuns. “You don’t have to believe me. I can’t promise I can help you prove your innocence but I want to try. But the only way for me to do that is to use my … gift.”
I looked up at you, hoping that you would believe me. What I had told you, you had not told anyone, only the police and perhaps the doctors knew and why would they share those facts with me of all people? Would that be enough to convince you?
@janalikestorp
I nodded my head, “Trust me, with what happened ta me. I am gonna believe almost anything. If ya can help me then I will take it. Just tell me what I gotta do.”
@thecallofdarkness
I leaned forward, looking into your eyes. “Has the police or the doctors asked you about the trophies? He took an earring from the first victim, so they didn’t suspect anything at first - they probably thought she’d lost it during a struggle. But the second, he took her necklace and wedding ring. It seems he takes one more item for each woman he kills. They haven’t found that. I … I will have to touch you, get into your memories more to see where he puts them, what he looks like, how he walks … I know you didn’t saw much, but I will look at your memories from the side lines so to speak. Will you be okay with that? It won’t hurt but … since I watch memories chances are that I might catch something else too. All those little things that are a personal life. You understand? You still want to?
@janalikestorp
I shook my head. “They ain’t tellin’ me anything cause I was spoutin’ bout aliens and such. By all means. Do what ya gotta do.”
@thecallofdarkness
I look around and no one seems to be paying attention to us. Carefully I put my hand over his again, gasping as I’m pushed through a whirlwind of his memories.
I can see the aliens he’s talking about and it almost makes me have a heart attack on the spot from fear. For some reason they are interested in Kit but I can’t see why exactly. I think I might hear one of them mutter something that sounds like my own name but it’s all so blurred so I don’t know.
I see the killer, standing beside Kit’s unconscious body. He’s wiping blood on his clothes. Wiping … that might be something.
He also mutters something although I can’t hear what … where have I heard that voice before?
I strain against it but it doesn’t come to me. Perhaps that is because it isn’t a voice I’ve heard but Kit has. So he knows the killer?
With a gasp I withdraw from the sights, coming back to the presence. I realize that I’m grasping Kit’s hand so hard that it has gone completely white with dark red spots where my fingers dig into it.
“Sorry,” I mumble and release his hand. “I … I saw them. The aliens. That’s what scared me so much,” I nod toward his hand which will probably have bruises later.
@janalikestorp
I rubbed my hands, getting the blood flowing back into them, giving you an sincere look. “It’s alright. Are ya okay though? Ya look sick. Maybe ya should sit for a second. Can I get you water or anything?”
@thecallofdarkness
I nodded as I sank back onto the couch. “Yes, please, if it’s not too much trouble?” I whispered, licking my dry lips.
As you come back with water I smile shakily before downing it. “I … I saw the killer but I didn’t see who he was. But I think it’s someone you’ve met before. Maybe not at the time of the murder but as of now. He was speaking when you were unconscious and … your subconscious recognized the voice now when it listened to it through me, if you understand? There’s something else too that might be of good use. The blood on your clothes …” I took a deep breath, pressing my hand against my eyes before I could continue. “It was wiped off. Blood that sprays from wounds will not follow that kind of pattern. If you have a lawyer - ask them to investigate your clothes again. Perhaps they will notice that.”
@janalikestorp
I shook my head, “The police got it in evidence, they won’t let anyone near it. No doubt they might get rid of it or something. Maybe I might be able to find the man with the same voice. I mean, he’d make sure I fry for his crimes.”
@thecallofdarkness
I nodded. “Yes, probably. Unfortunately I couldn’t make out if he targeted you for a specific reason or if you were just first best. But I absolutely think you should do that - keep an eye out. He will certainly want to keep a close eye on you here and there are only so many people that can access.”
@janalikestorp
“Well, let’s think. Who is new to the place that came when I did. I doubt it ain’t no long term guy. Ain’t no guarantee that I was gonna be placed here. this was a last minute deal.”
@thecallofdarkness
“Who made the deal then?” I ask curiously. That was interesting. If this was a deal then someone had to have their finger in it - to get access to you.
I close my eyes and think back on who is new to this place. The inmates didn’t seem like they could pull off something like that so it had to be either one of the doctors or any of the priests or nuns.
I open my eyes as they go wide. “Dr … the new doctor.” I look around and lean forward, whispering to you. “Dr Oliver Thredson …have you met him?”
@janalikestorp
I shook my head. “Not yet, gonna see him later today…you..you don’t think he maybe the guy we’re after…do ya?”
@thecallofdarkness
I shrugged, my eyes still wide. “I don’t know … but logically it makes sense. He transferred her pretty recently, and we’re talking days, not weeks. I remember touching Mary Eunice and she was confused about it - because from what she knew Dr Arden hadn’t filed for another doctor. Thredson … he came from no where.”
I took a deep breath and leaned forward again, grabbing your hand. “Listen. If this place has taught me anything it’s this - just because someone’s a doctor it doesn’t mean they care about the well-being of people. Dr Arden is a former Nazi that loves to torment his patients. He knows about what I can do and … well, let’s just say he strapped me in that torture chamber of his for a whole night, making me hold his hand and see everything he had done back in the war … over and over again and everything he fantasized about doing to me … he didn’t do any of it - he just enjoyed scaring me half to death. That’s the kind of persons that run this place. If Thredson has required a transfer here he knows that … this is the place where you can tend to your dirty business without getting caught, because everyone here has their own dirty business to take care of. Just be on your guard with him. Don’t trust him. And whatever you do, don’t sign or admit to anything.”
@janalikestorp
I nodded my head, “Just till we get the proof.”
After our conversation I stuck around with you and Pepper until about lunch time. I was forced to eat further down the table, alone, since the hospital couldn’t figure out how big of a threat I was until I was evaluated.
@slightlyvicked
I nodded. “Until we get proof.”
At lunch I sat with Pepper and Shelley. I didn’t really hear what Shelley was talking about because I was keeping my focus on you. They had placed you alone at a table further away from the rest of us, which made me both feel bad for you but I also thought it would give you some peace and calm. Some patients were always hard on newcomers.
Sister Mary Eunice told me that a visitor, a journalist would make an appearance in the kitchen when I was on bread duty later that day. A Lana Winters.
@janalikestorp
Lunch was better than I thought for a place like this. The food was decently fresh, but still tasted like nothing. I did my best to keep my head down, but I couldn’t help, but get in a fight with an orderly when I was walking through the day room.
I ended up spending my day locked in my room, strapped down to my bed after a severe caning from Sister Jude.
@slightlyvicked
I got worried when I saw that you were in trouble in the day room, I wanted to help you but Shelley kept a hold of me, telling me to not be an idiot, that it would only get worse if I interfered.
She was nice though and managed to distract the guard in your corridor so I could sneak into your room.
“Hey,” I whispered as I came in. You were strapped to the bed, clearly dehydrated, which made me want to cry. There was a glass of water on your bedside table but clearly they hadn’t even thought of helping you. I gently cupped my hand around the back of your head, raising it up a bit so I could help you take a few sips.
“How … how are you?” I asked in a trembling voice. Stupid question maybe, but I couldn’t come up with something else to say.
@janalikestorp
I gulped down the water, not knowing when I would be able to get more. “Thirsty, ass hurts.” I said plainly. “Why ya here. Ya gonna get in trouble.”
@slightlyvicked
I made a little grimace. “I can imagine. Sister Jude brought out the old cane, huh?” I wonder and wiped your chin with my own sleeve.
“No, Shelley is distracting the guard, she will give me a sign if I need to get out. But you shouldn’t worry about me,” I said, stroking away a curl from your eyes. “You’re the one in predicament. I was worried about you,” I confessed. “Everyone in here are in hell, to a certain degree. But it’s even worse to those that are innocent. Like you. Plus, you aren’t crazy, not by a long shot. You … you are just a regular guy that something … well, very irregular happened to, and now you get to suffer because this world can’t handle the irregular.”
I gave you a weak smile and turned around, pulling down one of the sleeves on my clothing, revealing the burn mark of a cross on the back of my bicep.
“The Monsignor did that when I had been here a week. For being a witch,” I explained. “I tried to tell him that there’s a difference between being evil and being, well, clairvoyant. He didn’t believe me at all at first of course and I tried to convince him by telling him … personal things about himself. That was before I learned it was better to keep your mouth shut,” I said with a weak smile.
without thinking I went out and grabbed your arm, kissing along the scar. “I think you deserve some love in here too with all ya do.” I told you when I pulled away.
“You and I need to get outta here.” I said calmy, “I cant be here no more.”
@slightlyvicked
I blushed when you kissed my scar, honestly thinking you would think it ugly. I sure thought it ugly.
I sat down on the edge of your bed, taking your hand. “Kit, no one should be in here, it’s inhuman,” I said. “But I understand what you mean. I just don’t know how? There are guards and the place is locked down tight. There would take a lot of diversion and chaos for that …”
@janalikestorp
“We’re in a loony bin, how hard is it to get a little chaos stirrin’?” I asked, smiling softly. Shelley whistled, signaling for you to wrap it up.
“I’m gonna see ya soon, don’t worry okay baby girl? I can survive this.”
@slightlyvicked
I chuckled at that. “True, but we might need help from someone else, and I’m not sure who we can trust,” I tell you.
I jerk when Shelley whistle, reluctant to leave you. “I know, you’re hard to break, Kit Walker,” I tell you. “But I will worry anyway. That’s what I do best,” I try to joke as I bend down, gently kissing your cheek. “See you later, okay? Kit Kat.”
@janalikestorp
I nodded my head and said a goodbye before you left. I was stuck in my room for another day before I finally was cleared to be able to walk around again. I needed to use a cane as I walked around in the day room and could only walk for so much before I was getting tired.
@slightlyvicked
I saw you the moment you entered the day room and but I didn’t want to draw attention to us, so I patted the chair next to me and, of care for you I put a pillow from the couch on it.
“How are you?” I asked as you sat down. “I’ve been so worried about you!”
I squeezed your hand, seeing some new things from your captivity which made me gasp.
@janalikestorp
I just mumbled incoherently, still very much weak. Up close you to tell that I hadn’t been fed much as I thinned out, and a few new bruises were on my arms, but the biggest difference was the brand mark i had that was the same as yours.
“Can I get water?” I asked weakly.
@slightlyvicked
I nod and quickly move over to the pitcher on the counter, pouring you a cup of water. I help you holding the cup as I come back, since you are shaking so badly. I want to cry when I see how they have treated you, but that won’t help you much.
“Did they … did they do this because you talk to me? To the witch?” I wondered quietly, pointing to your brand.
I take out an apple from my pocket, having saved it since lunch. I didn’t get more chances to sneak in to you, but just in case, I put away some of my own food.
I give you the apple, hoping you can eat it.
@janalikestorp
I shook my head, “Monsignor said that the aliens I talk about are demons, performed an exorcism. Believed this would keep them at bay,”
I took some water and felt a little better now that my throat wasn’t dry. “That’s too hard for me. My jaw is sore.”
@slightlyvicked
I draw a deep breath, stroking your arm. “I’m so sorry,” I whisper. “I wish … I wish I could have done something.”
I nod when you say your jaw is too sore, sad I can’t give you any food. “I’ll help you in the dining room, later so you can eat properly,” I promise.
@janalikestorp
I gave a weak smile, “Thank you. How long they have ya in here, till rotation? Help me catch up in what I miss. Gossip is my only entertainment here,”
@slightlyvicked
I looked around the room and nodded toward the new patient, Lana Winters. “That’s our newest addition. Lana Winters, a journalist. Apparently she first came here to make a reportage about the bakery but … clearly she was a bit too curious for the liking of Sister Jude and the Monsignor, so they came up with a reason to have her committed. The fact that she’s a lesbian,” I told you.
I leaned a little closer whispering the rest. “She seems awfully interested in your story. She’s been pestering me, since someone told her we’re friends.”
I shook my head. “It was only when I told her that her partner valued her freedom over Lana’s that she left me alone …”
I was a bit ashamed of that, that I hurt her so deeply, but it was the truth, and she wouldn’t stop badgering me, not to mention she was calling me a gender traitor because I was friends with a women-killer.
@janalikestorp
“Bring her over,” I said softly, “We can chat. It’s okay,”
@slightlyvicked
“You sure?” I ask, looking at you with a worried expression. “You’re up for that?”
When you nodded I waved my hand at Lana, beckoning her over. She saw you and a new glint lit in her eyes as she walked over to us.
“Lana, this is Kit Walker,” I said. “Kit, meet Lana Winters.”
“So you are the killer,” Lana said, making me groan.
@janalikestorp
“As a reporter I thought ya be a lil more open. I’m here cause I was framed.” I said. “I thought ya might understand about being sent in for a crime ya didn’t do.”
“I’m gay, that’s considered a crime,” Lana said.
“Being yaself and loving who ya love ain’t a crime.” I retorted
@slightlyvicked
I snorted. “They didn’t put you in here because you’re gay, that was just a convenient solution for them to get rid of you,” I tell Lana. “They put you here because you started snooping and that made them afraid.”
I put my hand on your arm. “And Kit is here because he’s being framed for something someone else did. A convenient scapegoat.”
It doesn’t look like she believes me, but I don’t care. I lean over the table and whisper: “Don’t trust him. Thredson.”
@janalikestorp
She shuddered. “I’m sitting across a woman-killer and that man is the one who creeps me out. He just seems all kinds of off.”
@slightlyvicked
It made me angry to hear her talk this way about you. I squeezed your hand beneath the table as I raised an eyebrow. “Lana … I know you dream about becoming a famous journalist. Maybe winning the Pulitzer one day,” I add, seeing her eyes widen as she has not confessed that dream to anyone but her love, Wendy.
“But in order to do that you need to learn to keep an open mind,” I add. “Besides … I bet you never thought that Wendy would have a hand in having you committed. You didn’t think she could ever do that you you, right? But she did. That, if anything should teach you that you never really know who people are.”
@janalikestorp
“She…you’re lying. She wouldn’t do that to me…right?” She looked to you, looking for assurance that your reading was wrong.
She shrank into herself when she didn’t get any. “I can’t believe she would.”
@slightlyvicked
“In her defense, they threatened to imprison her as well,” I continue.
One might argue that it would be more noble to be imprisoned than betray the love of your life, I thought to myself but I didn’t say that out loud.
“You were the one they wanted, so maybe Wendy thought that in some way they would get to you, whatever she did. But like this, at least she got to keep her freedom,” I finish.
“Kit hasn’t killed anyone,” I then say. “I know that. Believe that if you will, but … you put your own partner in jeopardy because you were so eager to make a name for yourself,” I add a bit sharply. “Kit’s conscience might be cleaner than yours.”
I glance at you, hoping you don’t think I went too far. It’s just that prejudices irks me. I’ve dealt with them my whole life.
@janalikestorp
“Ease up on her.” I said gently to you, “We dont know the consequences of our actions until after they happen. Lana, I just wanted to offer a hand of friendship, trust me when I say that having friends in here is the only way ya gonna survive.”
There was an orderly that came in to announce that it was time for lunch and everyone started to clear out of the day room.
“Ya welcome to sit with me,” I offered Lana before getting in line, asking for you to help me to stand.
@slightlyvicked
I nod, feeling a bit bad for going so hard on her. But I have seen the darkest corners within her soul. Lana is not a bad person, I’ve seen that. But … there is a coldness and selfish streak in her soul that tells me she might not be the best one either, but I don’t say that.
I offer you one of my hands, putting my free arm around your back and helping you up. “Luckily I think we’re getting soup today,” I tell you. “So it should be easier for your jaw. You can have mine if you want, to get your strength back.”
@janalikestorp
I shook my head, “If I so much as see ya try and feed me from ya plate I’m gonna have ya tickle ya because ya need ya strength. I’ll get mine back, don’t ya worry,”
@slightlyvicked
I chuckle at that. “Please don’t take this the wrong way, but I have a hard time thinking you will be able to hold me down and tickle me in this condition,” I tell you with a kind smile. “Hence why I wanted you to eat. I can eat half my soup and the apple I offered you earlier, so can you have the other half?” I offer, thinking you will probably not accept that either, but I want to try.
As we come into the the dining hall I help you sit down at a table. “At least let me get it for you,” I say before hurrying over to the trays.
@janalikestorp
I smiled when you came back, “Ya too kind to me, thank ya doll,”
I slowly ate my soup, having to stop after a few spoonfuls to get my strength back. Pepper came around to join us eventually. She was happy to see me again.
“You’re welcome,” I say, going back to get my own soup. I happily greet Pepper as I come back to the table.
“Hello, Pepper, how are you?” I ask.
I felt so bad for the poor girl. She had been framed as well, by her horrible sister. At least Sister Mary Eunice was kind to her.
As the chatter in the dining hall rose I leaned in to you and whispered: “I know a way out. I saw it in Lana’s memories - the secret gate where she snuck in to get information about you. We could try to get out that way, we just need a good opportunity.”
@janalikestorp
“I don’t think I can go anytime soon, I’m too weak right now,” I whispered back, “And I gotta be back to my strength cuz I wanna take Pepper with us.”
@slightlyvicked
I give you a half smile. “I know that, Kit Kat, but I just wanted to tell you - give you some hope. And of course we’re taking Pepper with us. She’s innocent too,” I say, smiling at the childlike woman.
“But it’s something to cling on to. For me too. I have an appointment with the new doctor later,” I say quietly, fear coating my words.
@janalikestorp
@janalikestorp
I looked up confused, “Ya faculty though, they wouldn’t make ya see him…unless, is it cause ya talk to me?”
@slightlyvicked
“I don’t know,” I say, shaking my head. “But it’s a possibility.”
I shudder and rub my arms. “I’m scared. Arden is enough to deal with, but he … he’s just a sadist with medical knowledge of the body. Thredson is a psychiatrist. I’m scared he’s going to make my visions to some kind of schizophrenia or something and … have me lobotomized …” I say, scratching at the mark on my arm. “They still do that, you know, even if it’s very much hush hush about it …”
@janalikestorp
“Yeah I figured they did when David stopped touching himself one day.” I said, “Listen to me, Ya gonna be okay. Just say the word and I can get a riot going to postpone the meeting,”
@slightlyvicked
I shake my head. “I don’t want you to get into more trouble, Kit,” I say, patting your knee. “You need to get your strength back and more days in a strap bed won’t help with that.”
I smile weakly at you. “No, I’ll just have to suck it up. Hopefully I will just come off as dumb rather than defiant. They look down on those that has really lost their minds, but they don’t care about them - because they aren’t a danger to them. No one cares about loony tunes. The defiant ones … there are always a chance that someone discover they aren’t actually crazy.”
@janalikestorp
@janalikestorp
I nod my head, putting my hand over yours, “Just be careful doll, please. I’ll end up strapped to my bed because I worried too much over you,”
@slightlyvicked
I pout a little bit. “Hey, are you saying it’s my fault?” I tease you and give you a gently poke to your arm.
Then I get serious. “But yes, I will be careful. And you’ll be careful too, right? Promise me that, Kit,” I beg you, my eyes big. “No riots, no fights … just let me handle it. You need to take it easy.”
@janalikestorp
I smile and nodded, “for you doll, as you wish, I vow to keep my head clean, but can ya take this at least,”
He palmed her a shiv that me made from broken glass, held together by toothpaste, gum, and toilet paper.
“In case he gets fresh with ya.”
@slightlyvicked
I made big eyes and quickly hid it in my sleeve. “Kit, where … did you make this yourself? That’s really risky!”
Then I smiled. “But thank you, for caring,” I say and quickly look around so none will catch us and press a kiss to your cheek.
If the new doctor do try something I’m not entirely sure that attacking him might be the best strategy. Sucking it up may be the smartest thing to do, but I don’t want to upset you, so I don’t say that out loud.
“Are you sure you won’t need it yourself? In case Leigh wants to blow of some steam or something like that?”
@janalikestorp
“I’ll be alright. I can handle whatever they throw at me.” I assured you before I rush you off to avoid suspicion.
@slightlyvicked
I nod, pouting a little bit as you rush me off. I know you don’t do it to reject me, but … hits right in the feelings.
One of the Sisters follows me to Thredsons office and I knock. I can feel the edge of the shiv against my arm.
“Come in,” someone says and the sister leaves. I’m alone.
As I open the door and meet his eyes I get bad feelings already. This will be hard.
@janalikestorp
Thredson smiles at you from across his desk, “Ah, hello. I’m Oliver Thredson. I work for the state. Please sit down, take a seat this is just a formality I have to do to make sure the staff here is competent, so if Mr. Walker argues insanity or poor treatment I can rebuff it. Now if we can start with your name please?”
@slightlyvicked
I carefully take a seat as I study him. He is all smiles but something in his eyes is making the hairs at the back of my neck stand up.
“I don’t really understand what that has to do with me,” I say quietly. “But fine. Hannah. Hannah Ryder.”
@janalikestorp
“Well anyone who has to do with Mr.Walker’s care in here is a liability for the prosecution. And thank you Miss. Ryder. Now I need you to tell me what you think of Mr.Walker and why you were committed to this facility. If you are competent enough you might be asked to testify against him. I don’t expect to have this interview last more than ten minutes.”
Thredson had a rather professional demeanor and his face almost plastered with a smile, as if he was happy to talk to her but needed her to go as soon as she good. And she had good reason and Thredson soon found himself in need of her when he saw her face, and Bloody face never loses a target.
@slightlyvicked
“My file says I’m psychotic,” I answer, crossing my arms over my chest. “So I will probably not be seen fit to testify. Even so, I wouldn’t. I know he didn’t kill those women, doctor Thredson,” I say, watching a point above his shoulder, since meeting his gaze is making me shiver.
“I’ve seen violent men before. Kit is not one of them,” I add, daring to look straight into his eyes and swallow as I can sense the darkness there.
@janalikestorp
“I see, in your file you claim clairvoyance correct? Is that how you came to that conclusion?” He asked, unfazed by her weak attempt of confidence.
“And even the mentally ill can be a reliable source. You seem all that mentally fit and unfortunately if you do not testify while called for that can lead to prison time. Whether you help the prosecution or not with your answers, my job is to just say if you can get on the stand if needed, whether on Kit’a behalf or the state. I’m just the psychologist.”
@slightlyvicked
“You’re a doctor, would you really believe me if I said I was clairvoyant? Or would you simply think I was psychotic, seeing things that aren’t there?” I ask, looking away again
I jerk a bit as he mentions prison, biting my lip in agitation. “I’m not really sure how much help I could be. I’ve only seen Kit in here - what would that give them? Either way, I won’t help put him away. And threatening me with prison time won’t do you any good,” I add, raising an eyebrow, anger bubbling inside me, because he’s treating me like a chess piece. “
“I may seem mentally stable to you in this moment, doctor, but I’ve been in this facility for over a year now. I’ve picked up a thing or two. And there’s not a judge out there that wants to sit and watch a retarded woman drool for fifteen minutes straight …”
Deep inside I’m a bit scared that I’ve crossed a line, but his little power stunt is making me angry. He doesn’t care about us, he just enjoy toying with our lives. And I don’t even need my special ability to pick up on that!
@janalikestorp
“I’m not too sure they would believe that. I know my questions are making you upset, but the fact that you didn’t outright attack me proves a sense of mental control and stability. However your reasons for being locked up is enough to disqualify you. So for all intents and purposes our interview is complete. You may go.”
He still kept a kind facade about him, but the moment she was turned away he was glaring at her like a predator.
@slightlyvicked
I rise on shaky legs, not sure what to think about this. It’s clear he didn’t bring me here to ask about Kit, no matter his pretenses. And that voice … it sounds familiar even though …
Suddenly it dawns on me, where I’ve heard that voice before and I gasp, turning around with wide eyes.
It’s him. He’s the killer! He’s Bloody Face!
@janalikestorp
When you came back I smiled and hugged you, “Ya look frightened. What happened?”
@slightlyvicked
I cling to you, my whole body tense since I have practically waited for that doctor to come up behind me with a knife since I made the discovery.
“Kit …” I start, my voice hoarse. “It’s … it’s him … the doctor … he’s …!”
I don’t even dare finish the sentence, because what if someone hears me? What if they tell him? I only hope that you understand what I mean.
@janalikestorp
Kit looked at her, placing his hands on her shoulders. “Breathe. It’s alright baby girl, what’s going on? Take it slow,”
@slightlyvicked
I do as you say and take a deep breath. “It’s him, Kit,” I whisper. “He’s the killer. He’s the one that’s framed you. I recognized his voice from … from your memories.”
I just hope that’s going to be enough for you to believe me.
@janalikestorp
I paused before shaking my head, “Give me the shiv, I’m gonna get a real reason to go to prison,”
@slightlyvicked
My eyes widen before I shake my head too. “No, you are not,” I tell you, hooking my arm with yours and sit us down at one of the board games.
“He may know that none of us are really crazy, but he doesn’t know that we know who he is now,” I tell you in a low voice. “This is our chance to trap him, to make him reveal himself! Although I’m not quite sure how …”
@janalikestorp
“We can solve this with a quick solution,” I continued. “I can kill him. The world don’t need a man like him around,”
@slightlyvicked
I keep shaking my head. “Kit, try to be realistic,” I tell you. “I agree, he’s a monster, but in here he’s also a doctor. Protected by titles and a bunch of psychological mumbo-jumbo. Not to mention; guards! If you fail in killing him, then what happens? You will more than likely get a lobotomy, unless the guards just beat you to death first, simply because they can and he will have the chance to keep killing women. But if we expose him, then you will have your freedom back, your innocence proven and he can’t hurt someone else.”
@janalikestorp
I pout before sitting down, “So what to ya propose? We get him on tape confessin’? Ya gonna need someone who knows how to press buttons and ask the right questions,”
@slightlyvicked
I hadn’t really thought of that, but now when you say it … it actually sounds like a good plan. I nod, a smile slowly spreading over my face.
“That’s … that’s exactly what we’re going to do! Kit, you’re a genius!”
When I see your confused look, I let my gaze slowly scan over the patients in the daily room before I find who I’m looking for.
“We’re simply going to give a certain reporter the scoop she so badly wants … I mean, she wanted to interview Bloody Face, after all, right?” I say, looking over at Lana, whom are sitting by herself on a chair beside the music player, smoking a cigarette.
@janalikestorp
I look over to Lana. “She needs protection though. We cant let her get hurt ya know, this is a suicide mission.”
@slightlyvicked
I nod. “I know that. Perhaps she should be the one getting … you know,” I said, meaning the shiv you had given me earlier. “I would do it myself, but I think he’s suspicious of me now. I could try doing it myself, of course … but I think the best would be to ask Lana if she wants to do it. If she manages to get Thredson to confess, then they would also know that her partner’s admission to lock her up was false, made by threats, not medical reason. She would have her freedom back too.”
@janalikestorp
“Bring her over, see if we can talk her into our plan then,” Kit said. “She likes you better,”
@slightlyvicked
“Not really - she thinks I’m a weak woman that can’t think for herself,” I mutter, but I still get up and walk over to Lana.
“Hey,” I say, smiling carefully at her. “Do you have a moment? Me and Kit … we have something important to talk to you about. You said you wanted to know about Bloody Face, right?”
I add the last part in order to bait her. I can already see her nostrils flare, like she can smell some sensational news.
@janalikestorp
She came over to me and we laid out our plan slowly to her. She looked skeptical, but slowly she nodded her head. “I knew something was off about him when I went in for my interview. I think we can take him down. I can get under his skin, all I need is protection for when he turns on me,”
@slightlyvicked
I smiled at her, happy that she had seen through Thredson. “Well, Kit made a shiv and gave to me, but if you’re putting pressure on Thredson, then I think you should have it,” I tell her.
I fumble the shiv out of my sleeve, keeping my hands beneath the table and carefully slid it over to her.
“And … before every session you have with him, I’ll keep an eye out,” I say, meaning my visions. “You are both in close approximation to me now, if something big is about to happen in your future that involves him, I should see it.”
@janalikestorp
Lana appreciated the shiv and tucked it in her waistband. “I appreciate your visions but call me a skeptic until you actually stop my murder,”
@slightlyvicked
I just smile. used to that kind of skepticism. “No worries, you don’t have to believe it,” I assure her. “I just thought I’d say it - in case it would make you feel more comfortable.”
“Who has the next session with him, Thredson?” I then ask, looking at the two of you.
@janalikestorp
“That would be me.” I said, “My appointment is at four. Any idea what to do with him? Before I go rogue and strangle that bastard.”
@slightlyvicked
“Well, that’s just it,” I say, putting my hand gently on your arm. “You can’t do that, for obvious reasons, but you can’t show him any hostility, Kit. We can’t let him know that we know.”
I bit my lip in thought. “Don’t you sometimes deal with rude and horrible customers at your garage?” I wonder. “Perhaps you should try and think of him like one of them. Just be on the same behavior as you are with those kinds of people?” I suggest.
@janalikestorp
I took a deep breath. “Right. Okay. I can do that. I can do a ten minute session with him. I’ll be alright,”
@slightlyvicked
I hoped you were right and that the doctor wouldn’t do something you’d regret. “Just remember, don’t admit to anything, even if he says it will help your case. God knows what he’s going to use it for,” I said.
I put my hand on your arm, closing my eyes and tried to feel in the darkness if there was a warning or a feeling, which always came over me if a sight was approaching.
@janalikestorp
“I got nothing to confess to,” I affirmed, “he ain’t making me a liar like the rest of em.”
I took your hand and held it, absentmindedly I kissed your knuckles, needing the reassurance. “I better go. I’ll be okay,”
@slightlyvicked
If there are something it apparently won’t appear to me, so I reluctantly release you. “Please be careful,” I whisper. “Even though he’s a monster, remember he’s clearly also a very skilled psychiatrist. Don’t let him into your head.”
I quickly look around so no one will see it and press a kiss to your cheek. “Good luck.”
@janalikestorp
I nod my head and I make my way, being escorted by two orderlies. I could already feel my body tense when I saw that damn psychiatrist .
@slightlyvicked
I follow you with my gaze, my brow furrowed in worry. I drum my fingers at the table, but a black glance from an orderly makes me stop. Instead I nod at Lana and start wandering along the corridors, hoping I may catch something from what’s going on.
@janalikestorp@janalikestorp
My interview was tense but calm. “You can trust me Kit. I’m just here to try and get the truth. That’s all.”
“I am tellin the truth. I ain’t no killer, and definitely not Bloody Face.”
@slightlyvicked
There are no visions as of now, and even though that must means nothing major is about to happen it also annoys me, because I feel like I don’t know what’s happening.
I don’t have to wait long though, you emerge from the doctor’s office after just fifteen minutes, between two orderlies. You look okay, albeit a bit put out.
I let out a sigh of relief and give you a trembling smile, a lump in my throat forms as your facial expression changes and you give me a warm glance.
Something is making the hairs at the back of my neck stand up though and I quickly turn my head, meeting the gaze of Doctor Thredson. His eyes move between you and me, and back again before he gives me a sly smile, making my blood run cold.
@janalikestorp
I come over to you, not noticing the glance Thredson gave your way. “God I hope that’s the last I have to talk to him. I was so close to just stabbing him with his own name block,”
@slightlyvicked
“Sssh,” I warn, looking around cautiously but I can’t help but smile. “I understand the feeling, though,” I add, interlacing my fingers with yours.
“How did it go - what did he say?”
Then suddenly everything go white and a vision takes place. It’s mostly blurry - but I can see you and me … kissing in the asylum’s kitchen. Then myself on a slab, bruises around my neck, Thredson standing over me, saying something like “Walker strangled her … she fancied him and he used that to kill her.”
You cry in your cell, screaming I was alive mere hours ago, that you didn’t kill me. Then Thredson gives me a shot of something, making my eyes open again, my chest suddenly moving up and down in a faster pace.
“There now, Hannah …” he whispers. “You are going home. With me …”
And then … I see the days he has planned for me, in his home.
I rip myself out of the vision, staring at you, my eyes white as snow. “Kit …” I whisper, my whole body shaking. “I … I think …”
And then I gently shove you out of the way so my vomit won’t land on you.
@janalikestorp
I was caught off guard, but the moment you looked sickI ran for a bin to give you. The nurses looked over and just gestured to the cleaning supplies, making sure I knew that they weren’t cleaning her mess up. “Hey baby girl, ya alright. I’ll get ya water after this.”
@slightlyvicked
I shook my head, tears brimming in my eyes as I wiped my mouth. “Kit … you don’t … you don’t have to clean up, it’s my mess …” I said weakly, putting the bin down onto the floor.
I grabbed your arm, hard enough so that my knuckles whitened. “Kit … he’s … he’s going to … he will kidnap me and … frame you …” I whispered. “You won’t even make it to the chair … the guards will beat you to death,” I whimpered, tears now running down my face. “And him … Thredson … I’m his next target …!”
@janalikestorp
“Hey, well, we know what’s gonna happen now, so we can stop it can’t we?” Kit asked, “We ain’t lost yet, so don’t have complete faith ya vision,”
@slightlyvicked
I was still pretty shook up after my vision, what I had both seen and felt Thredson do to me still lingered in my mind, not to mention how I had seen parts of your brain land on the walls in the isolation cell. “How are we going to stop him?” I whispered, wiping tears away. “We can’t exactly go to the police. And yes, it’s fully possible to change the future - but I don’t know when he plans to do this …”
Then I remembered us kissing in my vision and my cheeks got red. “I … I saw something else too … it might have something to do with it … his rage …”
@janalikestorp
“What was it baby girl? Maybe it can help us?” I offered. “Anything ya give is helpful.”
@slightlyvicked
“Well … he … he sees me as a target … his possession … and you … you and me … we were …”
I stutter like some pre-pubescent girl, my cheeks scarlet red, but it’s so embarrassing. The vision clearly hints that there will be something between us, but no one likes to have their privacy breached like this. What if you got angry with me for seeing that?
I took a deep breath and knew that bigger things were at stake, though, so I added, in a hushed whisper: “you and me were kissing … about to … do … more. And they discovered us.”
@janalikestorp
Kit went wide eyed slightly before coming back down. “I think this is gonna seal this fate, but I can’t separate from ya, and then ya become an easy target for him. So I need ya to either stick with me or Lana. Maybe if ya stay with Lana more than me, they won’t see me as the threat,”
@slightlyvicked
I chewed on my lip. “Maybe,” I agree. “But … what if that puts Lana at risk? I mean, they know she’s a lesbian after all, what if they punish her for it? And ..”
I quieted, not saying what was really on my mind. I had seen it in my mind, me and you inevitably drifting toward each other. I just wasn’t sure if that was what you wanted, really. If you actually wanted me.
We were humans, stuck in a torture chamber. And humans take comfort in whatever way they can find.
I already felt something for you, but what if you did only see me as a comfort from the horrors of this place?
@janalikestorp
Kit looked around and pecked her lips, pulling away quickly before the guards or nurses saw. “Trust me, it won’t be easy now, but we gotta for our future. I ain’t a man who likes bein’ interrupted when I’m havin’ fun with my lady. Please can ya do that for me?”
@slightlyvicked
I was too surprised by your quick kiss to do anything but stare, but your words afterward made me frown a bit.
“I’m not … what does that even mean?” I wondered, not following. “But yes, I get it. I’ll try to keep with Lana as much as possible. But … I don’t think it’s any risks if the three of us spend time together - that will just look as patients bonding. But no alone time, got it.”
Even though it hurt like a bitch. But you were right - if we were even going to have a future at all, then we had to be careful.
@janalikestorp
“That’s my girl,” he said. “Ya being a brave girl for me, thank ya. Now ya gonna go to lunch and sit with Lana alright?”
@slightlyvicked
I roll my eyes a little and give you a gentle shove. “I’m a grown woman, Kit, not a toddler, you don’t have to baby me,” I tease you. “But yes, I will do that. I … I’ll miss you though,” I add, quickly looking around before I hastily stroke your cheek, then take off down the corridor to go to the canteen.
@janalikestorp
I followed a few minutes later. I ended up eating away from you today, eating with Pepper today. Occasionally I would glance to you.
@slightlyvicked
I sat with Lana and Shelley, just picking at my food. I did my best not to look over at you, but it didn’t seem to matter because Shelley gave a cackling laugh and patted my hand.
“You have it bad for that new guy, huh?” she asked. “I don’t blame you - he’s a fine one.”
Even though I knew she didn’t mean anything bad with it I couldn’t help but bare my teeth at her which just made her laugh more.
I got ice cold when Sister Jude announced that you had been called to Thredsen’s office after the meal.
@janalikestorp
I looked to sister Jude and nodded, taking time with my meal before getting escorted. Lana has to assure you that I would be okay.
@slightlyvicked
I held on to Lana’s arm, anxiety gnawing in my chest. “Do you think we would be in trouble if we snuck up there and listened by the door?” I asked her.
She raised an eyebrow at me and I shrugged. “Alright, stupid question.”
I gasped as I saw a vision of you in Thredson’s office, him sitting behind his desk, smoking a cigarette as he focused on you, questioning you about the murders.
You claimed ignorance, saying you had no memory of doing that or how you ended up at the crime scene.
Thredson smiled and then mentioned my name. I saw your jaw tense.
“The nuns have seen you talking … are you fond of her?” he baited you. “Or do you plan on making her your next victim …?”
@janalikestorp
“It ain’t nothin’ like that. She merely is the only one who talks to me. Besides, I’m really after Lana, but she gets super protective. Lana was the woman tryin’ to paint me as a killer,”
@slightlyvicked
“’After her’?” Thredson repeated. “And what does that mean? Are you thinking of hurting her?”
I came back with a gasp, frustrated that I couldn’t see where it ended. I knew though that if they thought you were a threat to one of the other patients they would put you in isolation.
Damn.
I look over at Lana. “You are going to be something big,” I tell her. “Just … don’t let it get to your head.”
@janalikestorp
Lana shrugged, “Never do,”
I looked to Thredson, “I feel a hate for her but I don’t feel violence. She reminds me of my Alma. I like the fire she got.”
@slightlyvicked
(T.L.-T) Tyler stepped out the car and looked at her new home. Her mother and stepfather had wanted her to wait unti after the movers were done - so she wouldn't bump against anything and hurt herself. Tyler hurting herself was the never ending worry of their lives. It was why she had never gone to a normal school, why she had started eating birth control pills as a 12-year old and why it had always felt like she was living her life as a burden. Without greeting anyone she silently walked inside
Tate could see that the new residents were off. The daughter moreso than her parents. He didn’t want to outright make himself known so he just watched her as she pulled herself around the house depressed.
Tyler walked around the downstairs of the house. It was beautiful, she couldn’t deny that. And big.
She met her mother in the kitchen. “Ah, there you are,” she said, pausing her unpacking of glasses. “I’ve put your medicines in this cabinet,” she said, with that special voice, the one that meant ‘listen carefully’ . “The nasal sprays and pills are on the bottom shelf. I have put our new family physician on speed dial and …”
“… and except for the fact that we have a new family physician it’s the same old as in our old home,” Tyler finished for her. “I have hemophilia, mom, not Alzheimer. I know how it is.”
“I’m only trying to look out for you,” her mother answered. “Speaking of which, you have gotten new sleeping pills from the doctor.”
“I don’t like them,” Tyler protested. “It makes me feel like my head is filled with cotton the next day.”
“Tyler, you know what they’ve said. A case of hemophilia combined with sleepwalking can be fatal. We can’t have you wandering around at night, hurting yourself.”
Yeah, better drug me up, so you guys can sleep at least, Tyler thought ironically.
“How about this,” she said, sarcasm heavy in her voice, “tell the doctor to get me some good, ole’ amphetamine. Instead of sleeping a drug induced sleep - I’ll stay awake all night!”
Her mother looked at her, shaking her head in disappointment, her eyes brimming with tears which made Tyler sigh and walk toward the second floor in search of her room.
@janalikestorp
I watched from the doorway. Hemophilia huh? Well if I ever got bored I know how to frighten you a good amount to ease the dullness of the afterlife.
@slightlyvicked
Tyler came up to a room, which she assumed were hers since it seemed the most “teenage-ish” and walked in.
She walked over to the suitcases which had been laid on her bed and opened one, preparing to unpack. It couldn’t hurt to unpack her clothes at least, right?
Just then she thought she saw something out of the corner of her eye and quickly turned her head. But nothing was there.
In her absentminded state she didn’t paid attention to what she was doing and managed to scrape one of her cuticles against a zipper.
It didn’t hurt that bad but it wasn’t the pain that made her gasp and stare at her own finger as if it had turned into a deadly snake.
“Come on, don’t!” she whispered. “Just this once, come on …!” but apparently fate wasn’t on her side. The next minute blood was trickling down from the edge of her finger, as if someone had just cut the fingertip off.
@janalikestorp
Tate raised a brow at the amount of blood that left from just a small cut. He didn’t want her to end up dead so soon and with such a lame exit, so he managed to sneak by her a bandage and guaze to help stop the bleeding.
@slightlyvicked
Tyler quickly raised her hand over her head to lessen the blood flow and when she turned around she discovered some gauze and a bandage on her desk. Probably one of her parents.
She pressed it against the wound and then raced into the bathroom. She turned on the cold water and stuck her hand beneath the flow. Cold made the blood vessels contract, it would help with the blood flow.
Suddenly the light flickered and she could have sworn she saw someone lying in the bathtub - in a pool of blood! But when she blinked there was nothing there.
“Jeez, now I’m seeing things too,” she muttered to herself.
@janalikestorp
Tate continued to watch her, scolding one of the ghosts in the house, “She’s mine, so back the fuck off,” he said to the ghost before it vanished.
In reality Tate hadn’t had any interest to haunt the past tenants of the house until now, calling dibs on Tyler. However, he didn’t know if he wished to haunt her or let his boy hormones lose on her.
@slightlyvicked
Tyler wrapped the gauze around her finger, still holding her arm up over her head as she walked down into the kitchen to get some of her emergency meds.
Luckily her mother seemed to have gone somewhere else in the house, so she didn’t receive a scolding for being reckless.
Just then a girl ran into the kitchen, seemingly from nowhere, smirking at Tyler and pointing to her finger. “That’s not good - they can smell that, ya know?”
Tyler jumped on the spot, letting out a squeak. “W-wha …? Who are you?!”
@janalikestorp
“I used to live here, I’m Addie. I like to play with my friends here.” She said bluntly, “You need that taken care of before a frenzy starts,”
There was a knock at the door and Constance was in the back door, “Hi, I’m your neighbor Constance Langdon. I believe my daughter managed to get in here again, keep telling people to change the locks but they find her harmless.
@slightlyvicked
Tyler frowned at her, not understanding what ‘friends’ she was referring to. “Uh-huh,” she answered, when Addie told her to take care of the wound.
Tyler moved to the cupboard, finding the special compresses with coagulating salve and wrapped it around her finger. She raised her eyebrows as a blonde lady suddenly waltzed in through the backdoor.
“Hi,” she answered. “I’m Tyler. And, we just moved in, so I don’t think we were aware … that the neighbors kept running in and out …” she added, looking at Addie, smiling a little. “She does seem relatively harmless though.”
@janalikestorp
Constance grabbed Addie by the arm. “Let’s go,” she said sternly.
“No! I don’t wanna live with you if I can’t be a pretty girl too! I wanna see Tate!” She yelled at her, “Let me say hi to Tate!”
“Adelaide you are making a scene now hush and get a move on. Say hi some other time when you’re not intruding on your neighbors,” Constance said.
@slightlyvicked
Tyler almost jumped again from Addie’s angry yells and quickly waved her hand. “No, no, it’s okay, she can stay if she’d like,” she hurriedly said. “And you too, mrs Langdon. I’m not sure where my parents are - they should be around here somewhere, - but I can make you some coffee if you’d like?” she offered.
“Addie, would you like a cup of coffee too, or do you prefer soda?” Tyler asked Addie, moving over to the fridge. “Umm … may I ask, who’s Tate?”
Just then her mother came in to the kitchen, her eyes widening at the two strangers in the room. “What’s going on here? Who are you?” she asked, making Tyler wince from her rude tone.
“Mama, this is mrs Langdon and her daughter, Addie,” Tyler said. “They … came over to wish us welcome,” she smoothly lied, not wanting Addie to get in trouble for sneaking into their house.
@janalikestorp
Addie seamed to catch on. “Hello, I am Adelaide and this is my mom Constance.”
She smiled and waved. “It is a pleasure. We used to live in the house and my mom wanted to give some tips.”
“Yes, the hard wood for instance. Best to clean it is with distilled white vinegar.” Constance said. “What made you move out?” Asked her mother.
“Divorce, I couldn’t live here knowing my husband was sleazing here, and I couldn’t handle the mortgage alone when I kicked him out.”
@slightlyvicked
Tyler’s eyes widened from Constance’s hard words. She didn’t think she had ever met anyone that frank, and neither had her mother, apparently, since she seemed a loss for words.
“Umm, mom, I put on some coffee for Mrs. Langdon. Why don’t you give her a cup,” she suggested, snatching two soda cans from the fridge. “Addie, why don’t you show me where your old room was? Perhaps it’s my new one,” she suggested, eager to get away from there.
@janalikestorp
Addie smiled, “You have Tate’s room. I saw you at the window. His window. Can I say hi to him?”
She did not wait for a response before she was already on her way up the stairs, calling for Tate.
Constance blew it off, explaining that Addie was just really close to her brother before he left and she enjoyed going to his room and pretending he was there, talking to it as if he was.
@slightlyvicked
“She has a brother?” Tyler’s mother asked. “That’s nice. Is he away at college or something?”
Tyler didn’t wait for Constance’s answer, instead she took off after Addie. Sweet as Addie may seem, she didn’t want anyone snooping around in her room.
“Addie,” she called as she walked up the stairs. “Ad …”
She quieted as she reached the second floor as she could have sworn that she heard voices - as if Addie was talking to someone.
@janalikestorp
I smiled as I saw Addie, giving her a gift, a nice rock I found in the garden.
“Is mom treating you good? Here you want something for yourself? I managed to get some cash out of the last tenants. Get yourself something nice for your birthday.”
@slightlyvicked
Tyler frowned and snuck through the hallway over to her room. Yes, she definitely heard voices. A male voice talking to Addie.
She pushed the door to her room open and walked inside, her eyes big. “What the hell?” she exclaimed. “Who are you? Addie, who is this?”
Tyler looked the stranger over, feeling her heart skip a beat - and not from fear.
He was … DDG. Drop dead gorgeous. He actually looked like a fallen angel with those blonde curls and eyes so dark one could barely distinguish the transition from iris to pupil.
@janalikestorp
Addie smiled and ran off. “Addie, wa- ugh!” I sighed. “I’m Tate. Im… I will be going now”
@slightlyvicked
Tyler quickly moved so she blocked the doorway. “No, no, not so fast!” she said. “How did you get in here? And how did you get up here?”
Tyler hadn’t heard anyone moving up the stairs, except Addie. With a feeling of dread she wondered if Tate had already been here when her parents arrived, hiding. The house had been empty, after all, what if he was a runaway that had just hid here?
She studied him from head to toe. He didn’t look dirty, though and he didn’t smell. Except some shadows beneath his eyes he did look … well, DDG.
@janalikestorp
“Trellis on the side. Window was unlocked, climbed in like usual, this was my old room. I’m sorry, I thought this house was still empty. I didn’t know anyone moved in.” I lied. “I’m Tate, I’m sorry for scaring you. Addie is my sister.”
@slightlvicked
(J.D.) I chuckled a bit when you had to lift me up and set me down by the side of you, since it felt like I couldn't move a muscle. But I managed to snuggle up next to you, and accepted the cigarette you offered me, taking a drag. "Hmm, I see what they mean - it does feels better after ... sex," I said, and smiled at you. "I think you enjoyed yourself as well," I replied to your comment. "Otherwise you must be the best actor I've seen."
“That ain’t acting baby girl.” I came and snuggled you. “I love ya. I feel at peace with ya ya know? I feel like I ain’t gotta witty when I’m with ya.”
@slightlyvicked
I kiss your cheek and let my free hand play with your curls. I felt a smile nearly splitting my face when you told me you loved me. “I … I love you too, Jimmy,” I said, pressing my cheek against your forehead. “Of course I love it when you’re witty, but never feel like you have to be. I just want you to be yourself,” I assure you, putting the cigarette in an ashtray on the nightstand.
@janalikestorp
I gave you a kiss and pretty soon I was over you, we had another round of sex before we fell asleep in each other’s arms. That night though I still had some bad dreams. I stirred and mumbled in my sleep.
@slightlyvicked
I woke up as you tossed back and forth, mumbling. I couldn’t understand much, but I did realize you were having bad dreams, so I gently shook your shoulder. “Jimmy,” I said, my voice soft, “Jimmy, sweetheart … wake up. You’re dreaming.”
You woke with a gasp, staring at me wildly before you clearly recognized who I was. “Sssh,” I soothed you. “Are you alright?”
@janalikestorp
“I had a dream my hands were gone,” he sighed, “this one girl I used to date. She was a con artist who wanted to sell me to an oddity museum. I get a little rigid sometimes. I’m sorry, did I worry ya?”
@slightlyvicked
“Oh my God,” I gasped. “That’s so … I’m so sorry, Jimmy,” I whispered, stroking your cheek.
I now understood you better, why you seemed so shielded sometimes, even though you clearly had a flirty nature.
“Well, yes, I did worry, but mostly because you were having a nightmare,” I said, taking one of your hands in mine. “Not the reaction I’d want after giving someone my virginity,” I joked before turning serious again. “Where is she now?”
@janalikestorp
I shrugged, “Dont know don’t care.”
I curled into you, “Can ya help me fall back asleep? Just rub my back,”
@slightlyvicked
I smiled a little. “I mostly wondered if she was still here, but I guess that means no.”
I nodded when you asked me to help you fall back asleep and wrapped my arms around you. “Of course. Honestly, I’d love to sleep this way the entire night,” I said, starting to run my fingers up and down your back, the other hand softly playing with your hair.
“I’m sorry that happened to you, Jimmy,” I whispered so quietly I wasn’t even sure you heard me. “No one deserves that, but you … you are so amazing. All of you.”
@janalikestorp
I just let out a grunt, tired as your touch seemed to relax my body. “Sorry?” I asked tiredly. “Ya really good with them hands. I kinda just went out,” I chuckled tiredly
@slightlyvicked
(K.S-T) I let out a squeak as you suddenly lift me up onto your back and run the rest of the distance, but then I laugh, happy to see you so happy. As we finally arrive I turn my head this way and that, trying to decide. My eyes lit up as I see the roller coaster. It's a tiny one, but they let you ride for three turns. "How about the roller coaster?" I wonder excitedly.
I nodded my head, seeing a sign in front saying it cost three tokens to ride the coaster “But it takes tokens. Do we have money to exchange for that?”
I jump off your back and take out my card holder. “Sure! As long as we find an ATM somewhere around here it should be fine. And this is a fair, they kind of have to set it up close to an ATM or business would dwindle big time,” I say, more to myself than you - narrating myself is one of those things I tend to do.
I scan the area and see an ATM pretty close. “You want to carry me again or should we race?” I ask you. “Winner gets a kiss.”
I wink at you before I take off.
@janalikestorp
I tail it behind you and end up letting you win. As you get cash out I have my hands around your waist. “Turn around so I can give you your prize.”
@slightlyvicked
I chuckle as I fold the bills and put them into my pocket. “Were you letting me win on purpose, Mr Spencer?” I say as I turn around and wrap my arms around your neck.
“You know what? I don’t even care - please, give me my prize.”
@janalikestorp
I smiled and brought my lips to you, giving you a soft gentle kiss with a little tongue. “You want first pick on rides?”
@slightlyvicked
I hold you a little bit longer before I reluctantly let you go and look over to the fair. “Doesn’t really matter to me,” I say and smile at you. “But can we start with the roller coaster? You ok with that? I’d like to do that first, getting my pulse up a bit,” I giggle.
@janalikestorp
I smiled and nodded, squeezing your side, “Sounds good,”
We walked together, stopping at an exchange booth for tokens before getting I line for the coaster. “You know if they have a tea cup ride we are gonna go on that right? I think it’s the law,”
@slightlyvicked
I smile at you and lean in to kiss your cheek. “I think you are right about that; it’s the law. So of course we will!”
I linger by your ear and whisper: “And I would really like to ride the Ferris wheel, so we can kiss while we’re at the top. It’s kind of cliché but … I’ve always wanted to.”
@janalikestorp
I nod my head, “that’s doable. The Ferris wheel is my favorite and I will have you know you have the honor of being the first girl I’ve kissed in one.”
We make our way to the roller coaster ride, getting in line. “So tell me more about your school and…” I leaned in a little closer, “Can you tell me about your witch stuff too?” I whispered.
@slightlyvicked
I chuckle and give you another kiss on the cheek. “And you will be the first guy I’ve ever kissed in one, so it’s a first for both of us.”
As we stand in line for the roller coaster and you ask me about my school and witch craft I smile.
“Well … it depends a little bit about what you want to know,” I answer. “The academy is a school for girls only - witches, that is, but there are schools for boys as well - warlocks. But our society is a matriarchy, because … well, magic seems to be stronger in women. We don’t really know why.”
I take a deep breath and continue: “An average witch possess a few natural gifts and by hard work and study she can learn others, but in each generation there is a witch that is born with countless ones. These witches becomes what we call The Supreme - the most powerful witch of all. Until next one is born, that is.”
“I was a bit disappointed in the beginning, since it’s clear that I’m just an average witch, albeit a strong one. I have a rare gift which I’ve understood is inherited - not all witches can do it. Queenie has something similar to me, though.
But I don’t possess every skill necessary for a Supreme. But … when a new Supreme is getting ready to take her place in the magic community, the old one starts to wither, to finally die.”
I shrug a bit and press closer to you. “So now I’m pretty relieved about being average. Hopefully it means I will die when I’m old and grey, with a heart clogged by hamburgers and whipped cream.”
I grin at you to take the edge off my morbid words. “Was that too much at once?” I wonder as we move forward. “You still want to know about … my powers?”
@janalikestorp
I look wide eyed and a little worried, “that must suck for the former supreme. That won’t happen to you right?”
When you said you were average I was kinda relieve, “I mean even average is pretty extraordinary. If you don’t mind explaining them in dumb mortal terms. What powers do you have?”
@slightlyvicked
I smile at you when you say that average could be extraordinary too.
“Well … like I said before, there a certain powers which a witch must be able to do to be a Supreme,” I tell you in a low voice. “We call them the Seven wonders. They are telekinesis, concilium - the ability to impose your will onto others, make them to what you want them to do, pyrokinesis - to create and control fire with your mind, divination, transmutation - kind of like teleportation, vitalum vitalis - which means to balance the scale of life forces. You can bring someone back to life or reverse aging. And finally descensum - to be able to descend into the the netherworlds of the afterlife. Hell, in other words,” I tell you.
“Of the Seven wonders I can preform telekinesis, concilium, pyrokinesis and divination. I’ve tried to do transmutation but I’ve never succeeded. Cordelia thinks I’m too afraid to step out of my body like that. I have never really tried vitalum vitalis or the descensum, but … I have no real wish to visit hell, so … and then there’s my own power, which isn’t a common one. I can … transfer pain onto others,” I confess. “Queenie has something similar, but she’s more like a human voodoo doll. If she stabs herself with a knife, then she won’t feel it, but the person she aims it at will start bleeding.”
I shake my head. “My power … it’s a bit different - more psychological. I’ve been told that it’s like every nerve of your body is on fire, but physically you are unharmed. It happened the first time when I was walking home from school and some gang bangers cornered me. I think they were just trying to frighten me, make the little white girl cry, but they scared me and wouldn’t let me leave, and … that’s when it happened. All of a sudden they just doubled over, screaming like every inch of them was on fire.”
I go quiet, and watch you carefully, hoping you won’t become afraid of me after this.
@janalikestorp
I grew wide eyed, “Thats so cool, I gotta ask…did you ever…you know…on my mom?”
@slightlyvicked
I blush a little bit at that. “Umm … yeah, I might have,” I admit. “It was just before I left - we had been at your place and studied for a math test, you remember? … she followed me out after I said goodbye and …” I close my eyes and pinch the bridge of my nose since the memory still makes me upset.
“Well, she said that she wouldn’t allow me to see you anymore because I was no good for you. I … I didn’t know exactly what was going on back then, but I knew she was way too … possessive of you, so … I told her that the only one that could stop me from spending time with you was you - otherwise I would always be by your side and have your back ... I don’t know … perhaps I had some dreamy eyed look in my eyes or something, but that’s when she spit in my face and said that I was ruining you, that … no one but her knew what you needed and I was just a little slut that you two would be better off without. That’s when it happened,” I tell you.
@janalikestorp
I place a hand on your shoulder and pull you into a hug. “She’s a monster and deserved it. I don’t want you to feel bad for what you did. I’m not mad at you for it. I don’t want you with unnecessary guilt.”
@slightlyvicked
I wrap my arms around you and hug you tightly. “Thanks, sweetie. I know she’s a monster, but I still felt bad about doing it. It felt like I went behind your back …” I whisper into your ear, stroking your blonde curls.
Someone clears their throat behind us and I reluctantly let go of you, noticing it was our turn in the line.
@janalikestorp
We moved up, getting into our seats as the ride conductor did his safety checks. “Listen, you had a good reason to, I feel like that’s the only time to go behind someone’s back. I love you for that,”
@slightlyvicked
I smile gratefully at you and grab your hand. “Thank you, Kyle. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - there’s nothing I wouldn’t do for you. I love you too.”
I squeeze your hand and lift it to my face, kissing your knuckles just as the ride starts. “Oooh, hold on, sweetie, I bet this is going to be a wild ride!”
@janalikestorp
Everyone was containing their excitement as the tracks led into a large structure with the track inside. I assumed we were going to get a good scream or two as this was supposed to be a haunted house themed coaster. As we plunged downward we were in darkness with occasional scary clowns and ghost like people popping around the corners. When it slowed they would move closer to us, some even dared to brush their hands on other passengers.
@slightlyvicked
I wasn’t really scared of these kinds of ghosts, but I had never been a fan of clowns, even before I saw Stephen King’s It. So when they popped out I let out a loud squeak and buried myt head against your shoulder.
“I’m not here, NOT HERE!” I whimpered into your sweater.
@janalikestorp
I held you tightly in my arms and rubbed your back, “I got you, don’t worry,” I assured you as we continued through the ride, “rides like this only last five minutes. We’re at minute two. I know you can get through the last three.”
@slightlyvicked
I nodded against your shoulder, carefully peeking up over your arm, relieved to see that there were no more clowns. A couple of zombies moaned at us, stumbling around a couple of gravestones but I could handle that.
I straightened up, but stayed pressed against you as we finished the ride, simply because I just loved feeling so close to you. I actually pouted a bit when the ride stopped and the crew man removed the safety barrier.
@janalikestorp
I put my arm around you when we got out. I enjoyed you huddled at my side. “Get over here,” I said gently and pressed you closer to me as we walked. “So I think we should go to…Ah, theres the Ferris wheel,”
I point to it off in the distance and we walk towards it, only to get side tracked by the foot court. “Actually, I can still eat and kettle corn sounds good, wanna get a bag?”
@slightlyvicked
I giggle quietly as you press me closer. “Yes, sir,” I say, wrapping my arm around your waist, huddling as close as I could.
My eyes lit up as you pointed out the Ferris Wheel. “Yes, yes, let’s go!” I say eagerly, halting as you stop in front of the food court.
“Sure,” I say, smiling at you and pay for a bag of kettle corn and some cotton candy for me.
I give you the bag as we continue walking to the Ferris Wheel. “Sorry, I completely forgot that we didn’t have any dinner before going out,” I say, leaning my head on your shoulder.
@janalikestorp
“Its cool, I mean I prefer to eat carnival junk food anyway to whatever you have at the house. This is peak fine dining,” I said as we got in line for the Ferris Wheel.
@slightlyvicked
I chuckle at that, putting some cotton candy into my mouth. “Agreed,” I said, with my mouth full. “We can go and get some hot dogs after the rides, if you want? I never dare to eat too much before, I don’t want to end up puking.”
I had finished the cotton candy by the time we had come up to the wheel, and eagerly took your hand as we got seated.
“Sorry if my hand is sticky from the cotton candy,” I said, wincing a little.
@janalikestorp
I shrugged, “I don’t care.”
I put my arm around you and we get placed into a cart on the Ferris wheel. Seconds later it started moving and I pull you closer to me.
“Its a nice view up here,” I noted as we could see the twinkling city lights and the tops of the canopies.
@slightlyvicked
I rest my head against your shoulder, rubbing my cheek against it, probably looking like an affection-starved kitten.
“Yes, it is,” I agree as you comment on the view, as we ascend higher and higher. “But the best view is having you here, sitting beside me, Kyle,” I whisper, closing my eyes.
As we finally are at the very top, the wheel stop slightly and I smile at you. “The legend says that the couple that kiss when the Ferris Wheel is at the very top, will stay together forever,” I told you, looking into your dark eyes. “If that’s what you want, please kiss, me Kyle. Because I want you forever.”
@janalikestorp
I smiled and cup your cheek. “I don’t need ac legend to tell me that, but it wouldn’t hurt.” I leaned in and kissed your lips tenderly.
@slightlyvicked
My cheeks turn pink from happiness before I your lips met mine and I cupped your face in my hands.
The kiss lasted long, even though we kept it chaste, but I just didn’t want to let go, withdraw from the feeling of your warm lips against mine, and it seemed you didn’t either.
Someone cleared their throat, making me open my eyes and realize the wheel had gone down again and we were the last ones left.
“Oh,” I said, giggling a little as the guard removed the safety barrier.
@janalikestorp
I just chuckled before helping you out of the compartment. I gave you another kiss when we were no longer in anyone’s way. “So there is a tunnel of love. You wanna maybe…check it out?” I suggested playfully.
@slightlyvicked
“A tunnel of love with my actual love?” I teased you and gently tugged on your blonde locks. “Absolutely!”
Hand in hand we walked to the ride in question and was seated in a cute little wagon shaped like a swan, which made me giggle.
The twinkling lights of the tunnel sparkled over your skin as the ride started and I couldn’t help but reach out and touch your cheek. So warm, soft with just a hint of stubble along your jawline.
Merely 48 hours ago I had thought I’d never see you again … “I love you, Kyle,” I whispered while I leaned my head on your shoulder.
@janalikestorp
I put my arm around you and pulled you close. “I love you too,” I said.
I leaned in and kissed you. The room twinkled around us but was still dimly lit. “My afterlife had you you know. You were my paradise,”
@slightlyvicked
My eyes widened in surprise and then teared up a little. “Oh, Kyle,” I murmured, pressing my face against your chest. “I … I hope you … that you don’t feel bad about coming back,” I said carefully. “Zoe and Madison did it for me … well, Zoe, anyway. I guess they didn’t really thought about how you would feel about it.”
“When you were gone, it felt like half of my soul were ripped off,” I confessed. “I felt … well, people talk about feeling broken, but … I did truly feel like someone had chopped off an arm or a leg from me,” I finished, my fingers playing with the hairs at the nape of your neck.
“Cordelia said … she said we have a soul bond, and that’s why I felt like that. That’s one of the reasons why Zoe wanted to bring you back. Otherwise I would go the rest of my life, feeling hollow. Does that … does that scare you?” I wondered, looking up at you.
@janalikestorp
I shook my head, “Not at all. I’m happy to be back, to be given a second chance to be with you. I’m thankful Zoe did this. And I mean all this witch stuff is new to me but I’ll adjust in time. I wanna support you,”
@slightlyvicked
I was grateful to hear that. I knew you had never really had a death wish, but anyone can feel resentment when someone else makes their choices for them, even if it’s about coming back to life.
“I know this is new to you, and probably confusing,” I said, taking your hand, squeezing it. “If there’s something you wonder about or want to ask me, you can do that whenever you want. I’ll answer,” I promised you.
@janalikestorp
“Well, I remember during the ride back to the house Zoe and Madison were talking about hunters. That what they did would really raise some brows. What were they talking about? Is it bad that I’m back?”
@slightlyvicked
(KA -T) I look down at the phone once more before I gather the strength and dial the number I found online. I haven't seen Kai in almost 14 years but I haven't forgotten him. His dark eyes. His scent. His touch. How I loved him. Sadly I can't forget the way he betrayed me, either. And now, as I moved back to my hometown and saw that he has become a councilman ... I knew I needed to ask him. Why he did what he did. "Councilman Anderson speaking." "Hello, Kai. This is Hannah. You remember me?"
I leaned forward in my chair. “Hannah, i-is that really you?” I asked, joy overcoming me, “How did you find me? Are you in town? Can we meet up? I’ve been trying to find you for years, I-oh my God.”
@slightlyvicked
I close my eyes as I hear your voice, tears brimming in my eyes. “Yes, it’s me. I … I found your number online. You are the talk of town, being the new councilman and all. I … I came back to town a couple of days ago. There was nothing left for me in Detroit and I wanted to come home.”
I took another deep breath, surprised that you seemed so eager to see me after the way you had just cut me off. “Yes, that’s actually why I called. I … I would like to met with you,” I say. “Talk things out.”
@janalikestorp
I told you the information of The Butchery on Main so we could have a dinner together. “I can be there right after work, six thirty tonight if you want. I know the owners and they keep a table on reserve for me. How does that sound?”
@slightlyvicked
“Yes, that sounds good,” I say. “I’ll see you then.”
I hang up the phone, pinching the bridge of my nose as I can already feel the brimming of a headache coming on from the stress of seeing you again.
Despite the fact that you hurt me so badly I took my time in showering, styling my hair and put on some light make up. I didn’t want to go over the top, but at least make an effort.
(her outfit)
I walked in to the Butchery on Main, ten minutes early, but when I mentioned your name and they pointed out the table to me I was stunned to see that you were already there.
The hair was a surprise, otherwise … it was like no time had passed at all.
I walked up to you, stopping by the empty chair. “Kai.”
@janalikestorp
I shot up when I heard you and helped you to your seat after hugging you. “Hannah. It really is you,”
I had already ordered some appetizers for us, just getting brought in as we sat down. “You look beautiful.”
@slightlyvicked
“Thank you,” I say, smiling weakly at you. “You look good as well,” I add. “I like the hair,” I then add, my smile getting a bit bigger as I watch your blue hair.
“So …” I say, licking my lips out of nervousness. “Congratulations, I guess … on becoming a councilman. That’s great!”
After a moment of silence I decide to stop beating around the bush. “Kai … perhaps you think this is ridiculous after such a long time, but … I need to know. I may never get over you, but by doing this, perhaps I can get past you, at least. Why did you do that? You said you loved me, you said you wanted to marry me … then how could you just … leave me like that? With a letter, no less?”
@janalikestorp
He looked confused, “What? You left me and I wrote to you every day, hoping I could get you back. I didn’t leave. You are my everything, but you broke my heart the day you sent me that note.”
@slightlyvicked
I shake my head again. “I know that we left town - me and my family, but you broke up with me before that!” I say. “You sent me a letter, saying I was … I was too clingy and you had confused love with lust and now that you had … boinked me you weren’t interested any more,” I tell you, my voice trembling. “I still have the letter, you know.”
I fish it out from my purse, giving it to you. Then I remember what you said. “What do you mean, you wrote to me every day? I didn’t get anything … and what note?”
@janalikestorp
“Everyday I would put the mail out and I watched as the mailman took it, I wrote every day to you for three years. And what note? What note?l I said getting riled up, pulling my wallet out and fishing the old note of yours that my dad gave me the day before you moved.
In it said how you only got with me out of pity, how you never loved me and I was not worth your time anymore.
I saw the note you had and I read it over, “I never wrote this to you. This is my dad’s handwriting.”
@slightlyvicked
I pale as I look at the note. “I didn’t write this,” I say, my hand shaking. “This … this … this my mother. I recognize her handwriting!”
I look up at you, my eyes wide. “I know that she didn’t approve of our relationship, but … and I know that your dad were never really fond of me but …”
My ears brim with tears again as I lean forward. “I never got any letter from your, Kai. I swear! Only this …!”
Was it actually true … did our own parents … do this to us?
@janalikestorp
I felt a lump form in my throat and I needed to take a sip of water before I could talk. “So…so we broke up based on lies?”
I felt my hand come across the table and grab yours, “I never once in my life stopped loving you Hannah. Is there still a chance we can get back together? Do you think there is still a chance of a flame here?”
@slightlyvicked
The tears are running down my cheeks now as I nod, so shook up I can’t really talk. “Seems so,” I whisper.
I nearly gasp when you grab my hand, it was like an electric shock went through me. Just a touch like that from you made my skin tingle again, feel more alive than I had in … well, 14 years.
I look up at you when you ask that, my eyes wide. “Kai … I’ve never stopped loving you either. Even when I thought … that it was you that wrote that. It didn’t matter - I just can’t stop loving you. There will never be anyone else for me.”
I squeeze your hand, smiling through the tears before I frown. “There’s something I must tell you, though.”
I take a deep breath, putting my other hand on yours as well. “I was pregnant, when … when we broke up, Kai. I didn’t even know myself. I know, we used protection, but it happened anyway. It was yours, I promise! But … I lost it, when I was just seven weeks along. The doctor thought it was because of the high amount of stress … “
It still hurts so much, thinking about. “I tried calling, because even though I believed you didn’t want anything to do with me, I thought you should know, but your dad … he said you didn’t want to talk to me and if I called again he would call the police - said I was obsessed.”
@janalikestorp
My heart broke and my eyes showed it, “Hannah, I’m so sorry. You shouldn’t have gone through that alone, it’s never going to happen again,”
They had their lunch, talking about what they missed in each other’s life, “My afternoon is free, want to come back to my place and hang out there?”
@slightlyvicked
I wipe my eyes with the back of my hand, smiling a sad smile at you. “Thank you. I just wanted you to know that,” I say, stroking my thumb over the back of your hand.
“Yes,” I answer to your question about coming back to your place. “I would love that.”
Honestly, I can’t imagine letting you go. The old need to be with you … it has already awakened.
@janalikestorp
My heart skipped a beat at you accepting my invitation and I quickly asked for the check. I let you follow me home from your car, the fact that we weren’t driving together upset me.
I changed out of my suit when we got to my place and I had more comfortable clothes on with my jeans and t-shirt.
“Still the same place, you need a tour? It has been a while?” I asked.
@slightlyvicked
Since you had told me of your parents passing I wasn’t surprised to see that you still lived in their house. Since Vincent had already left home, he would have had his own place, it would make sense that you inherited the house. Or perhaps you and Winter inherited it together, since you mentioned she lived here too.
I nodded at your question. “Sure,” I say, smiling at you. “Lead the way!”
I can’t help but lick my lips as I see you in your new attire. Yes, you looked good in a suit; you would look good in anything, but the sight of you in jeans and t-shirt, the way I was used to seeing you fills me with both nostalgia and lust.
@janalikestorp
I took your hand in mine and showed you around the home you were very much familiar with, mostly to buy time for me to figure out what to do. You always had that affect of making me brain dead by just a look.
We ended at my room and I looked at you, seeing that twinkle in your eyes that I usually saw in my fantasies when I was alone and pent up.
I bit my lower lip, my hand on the doorknob, “This is my room,” I said after a quick breath and let you in.
“I’m sorry if I’m too forward,” I said before I charged you and pulled you into a kiss.
@slightlyvicked
I walk into your room, opening my mouth to say something but don’t get the chance before your lips were on mine. I let out a surprised gasp but then I eagerly answered the kiss.
My fingers tangled into your blue hair as I wrap my arms around your neck, needing to be as close as possible to you.
@janalikestorp
My hands picked you up and had you on my desk, next they were frantically pulling at clothes, wanting them off.
“Fourteen years, fourteen long years without you, made me crazy. I just need you again, I need to make you mine again.” I groaned, “I’ll steal you away from anyone who has you, you’re mine.”
My lips started to hungrily kiss all your exposed skin, licking from your collar bone to the back of your ear and sucking on the spot.
@slightlyvicked
I willingly raise my arms above my head to help you getting my clothes off as I keep kissing you.
“You don’t need to steal me away, Kai,” I moan, pulling your t-shirt over your head, gasping as I feel your hot skin against mine. “I’m am yours! I’ve always been yours,” I add, digging my nails into your shoulders as you go for that spot behind my ear that always drives me crazy.
“I need you, baby!” I whimper, kissing your neck and sucking the skin there. “Need to feel you again!”
@janalikestorp
I picked you up and put you on the bed. My hands continued to pull clothes off until we were under the covers naked.
I let my lips ghost over your body, moving lower until I was between your legs, kissing your thighs.
@slightlyvicked
I gasp and look at you with wide eyes before I shake my head. “Later, baby. Please? We have time for all that again. But right now, I need you! I need to feel you inside me again!” I almost cry, reaching for you.
@janalikestorp
@janalikestorp
I grunted, but came back up, “Fine, but when I finally get to taste you, I’m tying you to the bed and tasting you as long as I want.”
I kissed you hard and lined myself up, catching your moan as I pushed in. I took a moment to let you adjust and so I could revel in the feeling.
“You’re so nice,” I moaned before I started moving.
@slightlyvicked
I let out a giggle at that. “By all means, bring a blindfold as well,” I tell you with a little wink.
As you finally push inside me I let out an embarrassing loud moan, glad we were alone in the house.
I wrap my legs around your hips, moaning again as the movement makes you slid in deeper. “Kai …! So good!” I whimper as you start to move.
@janalikestorp
The first time, didn’t last long, but I made sure we had gotten well off before it was over. I’m the end I had you in my arms and my head nuzzled in the crooke of your neck. “I love you. So much,”
@slightlyvicked
“I love you too. Always have. Always will,” I whispered back to you, running my fingers through your long, blue hair. “If I fall asleep, do you promise this will still be real when I wake up?” I asked you. “That you still will be here? Be mine?”
@janalikestorp
@janalikestorp
I kissed your forehead before I kissed you, “I am always yours and I promise that nothing is taking me away.”
@slightlyvicked
I kiss you back, holding you tightly against me. “I’m not sure I dare to fall asleep anyway,” I murmured. “For once in fourteen years reality is so much better …”
I smile but close my eyes anyway, lulled to sleep by the soft beat of your heart.
@janalikestorp
I let you sleep until night, asking if you want to grab dinner. “We can order in, just lay in bed together like old times,” I suggested.
@slightlyvicked
I smile sleepily at you and nod. “Yes, I would love that,” I say. “How about Chinese?”
I sit up and reach for my clothes. “Will Winter be home, or can get away with just wearing my shirt?” I ask jokingly. “Or even better - yours?”
@janalikestorp
“Winter is seeing her girlfriend, just us tonight. Your choice what you want to wear, but I’m a fan of nothing.” I joked back.
@slightlyvicked
I giggle at that. “Well, I think I’m going to stick with your shirt,” I say and pull your t-shirt over my head and put on my underwear as well.
“Which one of us opens the door?” I wonder with a little grin. “If we’re ordering take out, I mean?”
@janalikestorp
“I’ll do it, you just relax. Make yourself at home. Do you have a place to stay at? I mean you can stay here with me, if you want.” I said, jumping on the chance
@slightlyvicked
“Right now I’m staying at a friend’s apartment while she’s in the Mediterranean, getting her scuba license,” I tell you. “I’ve been looking for a place of my own but I haven’t found anything yet.”
I blush as you say that I can stay here with you. “Really? I … I would love that, Kai,” I say, hugging you tightly. “But are you sure that’s okay? With Winter and everything?”
@janalikestorp
I nodded my head, “it’s a big house. And you can stay in my room with me. I can make room in the closet for you. It’s gonna be great. I just want you with me so nothing takes us apart
@slightlyvicked
My eyes tear up a little and I cup your cheek, kissing you deeply. “Nothing is going to take us apart again, Kai,” I whisper when we have to separate in order to breathe.
“This - you and me finding each other again … that’s proof we are meant to be. You are my today and all of my tomorrows, baby.”
@janalikestorp
I smiled and kissed you back, “God I love you,”
I went ahead and started moving things around to make it ready for you to move in, when I was done we figured out what takeout we wanted and placed an order.
“So tell me what you’re doing now.” I asked as I sat at the end of my bed,”
@slightlyvicked
I smiled and sat down beside you. “I work at the library. I was lucky that they needed someone when I moved back home. Reading has always been my biggest passion. Well, after you, that is,” I say, leaning my head on your shoulder.
“What about you - what made you decide to get into politics?” I wonder.
@janalikestorp
“You.” I said, “You said once that you saw me as a great leader. So I went into politics. You’ve been my motivation for a lot of things.”
@slightlyvicked
“I still do,” I tell you, laying down so my head ends up in your lap. “I’ve always thought you have what it takes to be a great leader, Kai. You have the intelligence, the strength and the charisma.”
I smile up at you. “I wish I had been here, helping you. But I’m so proud of you, baby!”
@janalikestorp
“Well I mean, I could use more people on my team.” I said, letting my hand play with your hair. “Maybe we can, team up, get together you know?”
@slightlyvicked
I look up at you and cup your cheek. “Of course, baby. I would love to help you. What would you need me to do?”
The sound of the doorbell had me jump a little and I grinned widely. “Seems like food is here. You can tell me your plans while we eat?”
@janalikestorp
I nodded and got up to get the food, getting sweats on. I returned and started to tell you about my plans. I went into great detail, feeling comfortable enough to tell you about my murders, but I was surprised that you were okay with it.
Something stirred and We found ourselves taking a break to get a quick fuck before we were talking about about my plans.
“I think this is a sign, you returning, you and I were meant to do this together. You’re meant to me my Queen Bee. Bring forth our messiah,” I cooed. “Please say yes,”
@slightlyvicked
Were I surprised to hear that you had resolved to murder, in order to make your vision come true?
Maybe a little, but at the same time, no. With your IQ, you viewed the world in another way than most people did, and fear was an effective way to get reactions.
Not to mention that almost every so called saint that other people idolized did things nearly as bad. Mother Theresa herself insisted on having worse conditions in her hospitals because “suffering brought you closer to God.”
I smiled when you said it was a sign, me coming back and that you wanted me to be your queen.
“Of course I want to,” I said, kissing you. “I’ve always wanted to be your queen, Kai. And I have always wanted to have babies with you. I know that a child with your DNA are destined for great things.”
I suddenly blushed. “I’m … I’m actually not on any birth control right now,” I admitted. You hadn’t worn a condom, and I had been so wrapped up in everything that I had forgotten to mention it. But now I guessed you were just pleased by it.
I put my hand on my stomach. “Maybe a little seed will start growing now?”
@janalikestorp
I put my hand over yours. “I would love that. And just to make sure, I wouldn’t mind going again.” I teased.
I giggled at that. “I wouldn’t mind it either,” I told you with a smirk. “I mean … better to be safe than sorry, right?”
I winked at you and cupped your cheek, leaning in to kiss you.
@janalikestorp
I smile into the kiss. “I still need a moment to recharge, maybe tonight though. You really took a lot out of me. So you’re staying in a friend’s place right? I mean we can go bring your stuff over now so you can spend the night and the next night. She won’t mind you leaving, would she?”
@slightlyvicked
I give you a fake pout before I smile and rub my cheek against your shoulder like a kitten.
“Yes, that’s right,” I answer to your question. “Like I said, she’s out of the country, getting her scuba cert. She’s still paying her own rent and bills, so she won’t really notice if I leave. The condition was that I would pay her my share of the electric and water bill while staying at her place - if I don’t live there anymore I don’t really have a share, so …” I tell you, smiling at you.
“So yes, we can do that. I would love to fall asleep in your arms tonight. And every other night.”
@janalikestorp
He smiled, “Good. Then I’ll get dressed and we can head over, get your stuff and move you in here.”
He chuckled, “I’m going fast aren’t I?”
@slightlyvicked
I chuckled too and sat up. “A little fast maybe, but hey - we’ve wasted fourteen years, so it only makes sense in my book!” I said and kissed your cheek with a playful smile.
“I think I’m going to keep your shirt on, though,” I said as I located my jeans beneath your desk. “As long as you don’t mind of course?” I asked. “It might smell less like you and start smell like my lotion instead.”
@janalikestorp
I smiled, “I would like that actually, gives me something to think about you when you’re gone.”
I got out of bed and started to get dressed. “I’ll make some room in my closet for you.”
@slightlyvicked
I jerk a little at the word ‘gone’, before I realize what you mean. Even though we’re back together I suppose we can’t spend every minute of every day together.
“Hopefully it won’t be so many moments I’m away from you,” I can’t help but say.
I smile as you walk into your closet and start rummaging around. “Honey, I think it will be fine if we just add a dresser or something to the room? I prefer to have my things in a drawer anyway.
I purse my mouth in thought as I spot my bra. “Do I need to put my bra back on? I mean … you’re a councilman now, will it make you look bad if I go commando beneath your shirt?”
@janalikestorp
“Well, your nipples aren’t peaking through your shirt. I’m fine with it. Besides, if the urge to screw in your place arises, I like to go straight for it,” I joked.
@slightlyvicked
I couldn’t help but giggle at that. “Well, why not,” I tease you. “You did promise me a second round, huh? And it will be a nice adieu to that place before I move,” I add.
We walk out of the house, deciding to take your car since it’s bigger and none of us wants to separate.
“So … how’s Winter doing?” I ask as we are on our way to my friend’s apartment.
@janalikestorp
“She’s good,” He said. His free hand was rubbing her thigh gently as he spoke. “She’s at Vassar right now. Her semester ends on the 30th. She’s helping my campaign for senate when she gets back,”
@slightlyvicked
“Oh, wow,” I say. “It’ll be nice seeing her again. I don’t know whether she remembers me, it’s been pretty long, after all.”
I grab a hold of your hand, squeezing it since those words bring out the painful memories.
@janalikestorp
I gave a reassuring squeeze back, “Hey, it’s all different now. You don’t have to think of the bad times anymore, and Winter remembers you. She says I talk about you a lot when I get drunk off my ass,”
@slightlyvicked
“Do you now?” I teased you. “I may have to ask her about that.”
I smile at you, and gave your knee a reassuring pat. “And yes, you’re right, it’s no use in dwelling in the past any longer, not when we’ve finally have each other again.”
Suddenly I smirk. “Although there are some good memories in the past as well … do you remember how I used to go down on you when you just had gotten your license?” I remind you with a mischievous expression.
@janalikestorp
“Yes and I remember the two accidents that you almost caused because you thought it was a good idea to try and get cocky and test knew shit while I’m driving.” I said with a chuckle.
@slightlyvicked
I let out a little snort at that, my face looking completely innocent. “Well, if you don’t test new things you won’t ever learn, isn’t that what they say?” I tell you with a giggle. “And besides, you quite liked it too, if I remember correctly,” I tease you.
As we had talked we had arrived at my friend’s apartment complex, you turning into the parking lot. “Here we are,” I say and smile at you as you parked the car.
@janalikestorp
I pulled the keys out and unbuckled, “I’ll come with you, even if it’s just clothes. I don’t want some skeeze to hit on you and this place looks like it is filled to the brim with them.”
@slightlyvicked
I smile at you. “Thanks you, baby,” I say as I get out of the car. “I haven’t encountered that many, actually, although there is this guy in 3A that always talks to my boobs whenever we meet in the elevator,” I add, shaking my head as we start walking toward the complex.
@janalikestorp
“I mean I get it. Puberty has been kind to you in that department, but they’re only for me to look at now,” I said. “I’ll threaten him for you.”
@slightlyvicked
I look up at you when you say that, smiling at you. “Really? Well, here’s your chance baby.”
As we walk into the stairwell a guy exits the elevator, a leering smirk on his face as his gaze land on me. Then he sees you beside me and the smirk disappears.
“Oh, hi, Hannah,” he mutters, making ready to go out the door.
@janalikestorp
I make a point to kiss you on there lips and rub your arm. “So you think you have something nice in your place for a date?” I asked. “Or I can take you shopping anywhere baby girl,”
@slightlyvicked
I smile at you. “Well, I think I have at least a little black somewhere,” I say. “You want to go out tonight?” I then ask, since it’s getting a bit late.
As we reach my floor I unlock the door to my friend’s apartment and step in. “Here we are. Most stuff is hers, it’s just some clothes, toiletries and such that is mine.”
@janalikestorp
“Well why don’t you pack up, see if there is anything you like that you want to wear to a restaurant. I’ll be here calling to make reservations okay?” I suggested.
@slightlyvicked
“Okay,” I said, smiling at you as started to gather my clothes from the drawers and wardrobe.
I stuffed must of it down into my suitcases, along with my books (thank God I mostly read on my tablet nowadays, otherwise we would be here until tomorrow), make up and other toiletries.
I came out, holding up one of my nicer dresses for you to inspect. “How about this one?” I ask you, smiling.
“Too regular? Too slutty?” I ask, mostly joking, but I also knew that since you were a councilman now you needed to think about propriety.
@janalikestorp
“Absolutely perfect,” I said with a smirk, giving you a kiss on the cheek, “Do you want to get ready here or at the house? I’m fine with either, we’re pretty much leaving to dinner when we drop your stuff off anyway,”
@slightlyvicked
“Don’t you need to get ready too?” I wondered as I carefully folded my dress and put it into a bag. “If so we can get ready together back at the house. Shower together, to save water and such?” I winked at you. “Of course you always look amazing, but if I’m dressing up shouldn’t you do as well?” I wondered sweetly.
@janalikestorp
I smirked, “Well you know me, I always have a suit jacket in my car to fancy it up, but I think I see your point, I think I can use a quick shave and a shower,”
I helped you walk to the car with your things and we drive back to my place. I rush you, being a step behind and pinching your butt to get you in my shower. “Oooh my god, we’re gonna be late slow poke,” I playfully exaggerated.
@slightlyvicked
I study you up close and lick my lips. “That’s too bad. I love it when you have that slight stubble. Makes me all … tingly,” I say, chuckling at you.
As we walk back into your house and you pinch my butt I let out a little squeak. “Kai Anderson!” I playfully scold you. “Is that any way to treat a lady?” I ask, smirking at you. “Because, just a heads up, it makes me crazy wet,” I add in a hushed whisper as I spray you with the shower head. “Wet like that!”
@janalikestorp
“Tgejxurnebx, son of a bitch!” I playfully yelled before stepping into the shower, “I am so going to get you for that, just for that, no sex.”
He quickly chuckled, “I take that back, I am just going to give you the longest edging of your life,”
As he spoke he looked serious and even spoke in a serious manner. “Torture is my specialty,”
@slightlyvicked
I gasped when you said that you would get me back by leaving out sex and then pouted.
Then I smiled when you changed your mind and told me you would “just” torture me.
“I believe you,” I said, tilting my head. “And I suppose I deserve it - I was naughty,” I added, smirking at you. “So … punish me - daddy …”
I wasn’t certain how you would react to it, I had never called you daddy before - sir on certain occasions - but I wanted to try.
@janalikestorp
I smiled before I stepped into the shower. Nothing intense happened, but a little bump and grind here and there and some sensual body washing.
“Well I’m done,” I said, ignoring the growing erection I had. I stepped out of the shower, giving you a long kiss. “I’m going to get dressed.”
@slightlyvicked
I pouted as you stepped out without giving me any relief, but I supposed this was part of your ‘torture’.
“I’ll be right out,” I said, smiling at you. I had already washed my hair earlier today so I quickly just rinsed off before I turned the water off and stepped out as well.
I put my hair up and sprayed just a tiny but of perfume on my wrists - you weren’t that fond of when I smelled of ‘something other than me’, and then pulled the dress I had chose over my head, a pair of lace thigh highs and heels.
“Kai?” I called as I came out of the bathroom, “baby, can you please zip me up?”
@janalikestorp
I came out in a nice suit and had walked to you. A finger trace along your spice before I got to the zipper and zipped you up. “You look gorgeous baby,”
@slightlyvicked
I shivered in delight as I felt your finger against my skin before you zipped my dress up. “Thank you, darling,” I purr before I turn towards you, my eyes going wide. “And you look … absolutely stunning!” I say, smiling at you.
I raise my hand and push away a few blue stray hairs from your eyes, cupping your cheek. “Divine,” I add. “You could make a picture on a tarot card.”
@janalikestorp
I smiled and took your arm as we went to the car. “I hope you will be okay. I should warn you that I do have some celebrity status because of my senatorial run. The media does check in on me from time to time,”
@slightlyvicked
“Well, that’s not so surprising,” I said, smiling at you. “You’re quite the big deal now after all. Don’t worry, I’ll do my best not to embarrass you,” I teased gently.
You opened the car door for me, making me smile wider. “I guess you have a lot of lady attention from the celebrity status as well,” I commented, trying not to sound grumpy.
It wasn’t that I didn’t understand that women - and men - found you attractive, you were hot, smart and charming after all. But it did hurt at little to wonder how many people you might have been with while we were apart.
@janalikestorp
I shrugged, “I guess, but no one has really interested me. And I don’t care if you embarrass me. I just want you comfortable, so if the cameras get too much then you let me know,”
@slightlyvicked
I nodded. “I promise,” I told you, stroking your arm. “Does it ever bother you?” I wondered. I knew you weren’t shy at all but that wasn’t really what I thought about. You could accept something and still not be very fond of it it.
You drove off and I turned to look at you. “How come you decided to color your hair blue?” I wondered curiously.
@janalikestorp
“I don’t know, impulse I guess. After dealing with some issues I just wanted a change, the blue dye was cheap, and dramatic, and it reminded me of prom. Your blue dress.” I said. “It gave me some sense of control.”
@slightlyvicked
I couldn’t help but smile as you said the color had reminded you of my old prom dress. “I still have that dress, you know,” I told you, reaching out with my hand and ran my fingers through your blue locks. “I like it, either way,” I added.
I wondered briefly what issues there had been for you, but guessed that you would tell me, if you wanted me to know.
“It’s important for you - to feel you have control,” I said, lightly tapping my finger against your neck. “I know that. But I also know that it’s easy for you to lose yourself in that control, baby,” I gently reminded you. “But you have me now … I’ll help you. Make sure you’re cared for.”
@janalikestorp
I smiled and gave you a pack on your fingers. “You’re the only one I know who can. I’m happy you’re back in my life now. I don’t want to lose you ever again.”
@slightlyvicked
(JMP) I walked into the Hotel Cortez, my suitcase rolling behind me. My boss, Will Drake, had a fashion show set up here, so he had told me we might as well do my photo shoots here too; maybe take the opportunity to do some 20s theme. And with the decor of this place, that certainly seemed like the right fit, I thought as I walked up to the main desk and rang the bell. "Will Drake has booked a room for me - Hannah Lawrence, I'm one of his girls," I told the woman behind the desk.
Liz looked the girl up and down, muttering something about her looks and how she should be up there. “Can I get an ID and a credit card, cash is fine too.”
I couldn’t help but smile as I heard the woman mutter. “You do have exceptional style,” I said as I handed over my ID and credit card. “Sadly, the runway is just for toddlers nowadays - after 27 they kick you out. Why do think I only do photo shoots these days?” I smiled as I waited for her to draw my card. “Of course, they kicked me out before I turned 23. Said my hips were too wide,” I add and roll my eyes. “And that was when I still wore a size 8. Trust me - it’s way better to manage the fashion industry than working for it.”
@janalikestorp
Liz did find her comments amusing, giving her a short chuckle. “The fashion industry is a cruel mistress. Will says all his ladies are to meet him in the penthouse at nine tonight. Some meeting, or party. Man was skrimping the details my dear.”
@slightlyvicked
“Yes, that’s Will for you,” I said with a smile. “Thanks, doll.”
I walked over to the elevator, pressing the button while I admired the décor. Will was right - this place was perfect for some retro photo shoots.
The elevator pinged and I pulled back the gate, stepping inside. As I pushed the button for my floor I sent a text to Will that I had arrived and wondered what the dress code for tonight would be.
@janalikestorp
The elevator stopped for a brief moment and I walked in. “Hello my dear,” I said as I presse the button for the penthouse.
“I see you’re checking in. Do you need assistance with luggage?” He asked.
@slightlyvicked
I looked up from my phone, meeting your dark eyes, and then taking in the rest of you. Your black hair, slicked back, your chiseled face, the tailored suit. The little mustache that would normally have made me laugh, but suited you just as well as that suit.
I bit my lip to make sure my jaw didn’t hung down to the floor. “Umm, hi,” I said, blinking a bit. “Yes, that’s right … and no, thank you, I got it. Are you … do you work here?”
@janalikestorp
I chuckled, “I do. You can say I am a Jack of all trades. I do maintenance, assist guests, run inventory. I was a former owner. I live here, more or less on the new owners behalf. Was clueless without my help,”
@slightlyvicked
I raised my eyebrows when you said you were the former owner. “Really …? Well … one might ask what business they had buying a hotel then,” I said, smiling a little. “I’m Hannah,” I added, holding out my hand to you. “I work for Will Drake.”
@janalikestorp
“James Patrick March, pleasure.” I said as I took her hand and kissed the knuckles. “So your luggage. Will you be needing assistance at all bringing them to your room?”
@slightlyvicked
♥️”Oh... “ I blushed tucking some hair behind my ear “well thank you very much Jimmy Darlin’ “ I smiled looking up into his eyes before I felt my cheeks heat up again and shifted my gaze down.
“Something wrong? Ya cheeks are flushed, the weather makin’ ya sick?” I asked concerned
💟I bit my lip and giggled nodding, “I know ..” I finally gave in and gave her what she wanted. I pulled her in even closer and let her use her hand to guide me where she wanted me.
I kissed her as her fingers trailed under my panties. “A-Ah, why are your hands cold?” I shuttered, but did no effort to move her, “kinda feels good,”

Chapter 13
Kylo’s P.O.V
I entered the throne room, taking into account the positions of Snokes guards. Two of them were outside the throne room doors to bar entry to those not worthy, two stood inside by the doors for another layer of security. The other four were by his throne, two on either side. I kneeled before him. This would be the last time I kneeled. The last time I would let someone rule over me. It was sith tradition that the apprentice kills their master. And I was done playing apprentice. I was done taking the blame for his actions. I was done letting him take from me. I continued to act the part, bowing my head in respect. “It has been a while. I hope that you are returning in full form, I hope that there are no more distractions with your training,” Snoke remarked. I was slightly surprised that he hadn’t tried to hide what he’d done with more lies, that he hadn’t given me fake condolences. He was honest about his disapproval. That was going to make this easier. “I can assure you Supreme Leader that I am all out of distractions. In fact I’ve never been thinking so clearly, the path ahead for me is a clear one,” I replied.

🌻 An instinctive tingle ran down my spine when you said my name that way, my noise of surprise muffled when you kissed me. I bit my lip when you spoke, my eyes darkened with lust. All my pent up passion and desire was finally coming out and it seemed yours was too. I moaned when you started to kiss and mark my neck, sliding my hands down your body to grip your belt loops and pull you against me, needing to feel you as I grinded my hips against yours. (1/3)
"Funny, you seem to think you're suddenly in charge now," I murmured before moving one hand to grip your hair and pull your head back, baring your throat to me after getting your cravat undone and tossed away. My free hand began undoing the buttons of your shirt while I flashed a downright filthy smile before leaning in to start marking your neck, my lips and teeth leaving a trail of bruises as I paused occasionally to speak. (2/3) "Tell me you're mine, James. Tell me you belong to me. I want to make sure you know she can never have you, never touch you this way or make you feel the way I do." I purred the words, my voice dark and silky. I knew you'd like it though, you always liked it when I talked, even more so when I showed the deeply possessive desire I had for you since I rarely ever did. I was never usually so dominant either, but something in me needed this, needed to see you writhing and desperate for me. (3/3)
~~~
“Darling the only touch I crave is yours, mercifull or merciless. I am yours and yours alone my love. For all enternity and beyond that.” I grunted, my lips found that sweet spot of yours and suckled by your collarbone while my hands came to your curves and pulled you into me. “I desire only you and I do not belong to anyone but you.”
♥️ I smiled a little giggle escaping my lips too. I gave him my hands which were much smaller than his, I wondered how nice it would feel to hold his hand and keep him close to me. Jimmy was very attractive and so kind and that was hard to find at least in the town I’d come from. Anyone good looking knew it and had the worst attitude but Jimmy was soo different from anyone I’d ever known. He gave me butterflies when he smiled and he was caring and kind. And I loved the way his eyes sparkled.
I held your hands for what was an eternity. “Ya got, they really soft ya no, and dainty,”
💟I bit my lip “I don’t mind that one bit ...” I smirked gently kissing down her thighs and lowering myself between her legs. I lifted her legs up over my shoulders and started kissing her everywhere but where I knew she wanted me. I could tell by the way she gently moved her hips, I knew her well.
“You fucking tease.” I chuckled lightly. “I am gonna get you for this you know,”
(K.W. -T) Sitting in the common room in Briarcliff Asylum. It's my third week here and I'm just as scared now as on my first day. I have learned the rules. Don't talk to anyone - it might provoke a fight. Don't turn off the music. Never talk about what I say when I touch other people. Pepper is the only one that's nice to me. She didn't do what she's been accused of, I could see it when I touched her. Someone new is coming today, according to Sister Mary Eunice and now we wait for him
After getting the oh so friendly introduction from the staff of Briarcliff I was tossed into the day room with little to jack shit guidance. I looked around, confused as hell as a girl propositioned herself before me, before I was greeted by Pepper.
I smiled kindly to her as she led me to the couch to draw with her.
I look up as Pepper is leading the new guy to the couch opposite from where I’m sitting. He’s cute, despite the black eye and haggard look. Poor thing he can’t have gotten much sleep. I’ve heard the rumors about him but when I see the aura that surrounds him I can’t believe there’s truth to it. I must touch him to know though and that’s not something you just do, especially in here. I smile carefully as he sit down with Pepper.
“Hello,” I say, looking at him. “Hi Pepper, how are you today?”
@janalikestorp
She smiled at you and let out a small pleased gurgle. I just gave you a polite tilt of the head and sat on the opposite side of the couch.
Pepper came to me, crayons in hand and tried to give them to me. “Oh ya want a drawin’ buddy. Alright.” I said before I came to sit with her on the floor and color with her.
@likeamothtothedark
I smile and look on. “What are you drawing there, Pepper?” I wonder and move myself closer on the couch so I can see. When I do my knee accidentally bump against this man’s back. The touch I’ve been waiting for. Information flows straight into me and I suddenly know what his name is, what he used to work as, what he’s been accused of. And I also know that he didn’t do it. The feeling I got earlier is correct. This man, or Kit, as he likes to call himself, could never do that. His painful memories of coming here and being treated like a monster pains me and I gasp loudly, clutching my chest.
@janalikestorp
I turn my head and I looked concerned. “Hey, woah, ya alright? What’s wrong?” I asked you. I went and helped you lay on the couch. “You need some water or somethin’?” I asked.
Immediately an orderly came to us. “What’s going on?” he asked, immediately eyeing me. “She just got into a panic, I don’t know what’s goin’ on.” I admitted. “I think you need to go Mr.Walker.”
@likeamothtothedark
“No, no, it’s alright,” I said, sound hoarse and sat up again. “I just …” I looked around, thinking quickly. Someone (probably sister Mary Eunice) had brought in fresh daisies in a vase that stood on a table a few feet from us. “It’s just the flowers,” I said and pointed. “Allergic,” I defined and pretended to sneeze.
I smiled at you when you sat down again and the orderly went to remove the flowers. “Thank you, Kit,” I said, momentarily forgetting that we hadn’t been introduced at all.
“So I see my reputation precedes me. They probably warned all the ladies here that I’ll kill ya all.” I joked sadly. “I promise I ain’t gonna be around much, either I’ll be sentence ta fry or I’ll just kill myself in my cell. Haven’t decided how this is gonna go yet. They ain’t wantin’ ta believe I’m innocent.”
@thecallofdarkness
I shook my head, a sad smile on my face. “I know you’re innocent, Kit. Someone has framed you. I don’t know who, but it’s a bad person. He came to your home and knocked you out, planting the murder weapon in your hand … and when you woke up you had blood all over you and the police were kicking down your door.” I leaned forward and put my hand on yours. “But there’s still hope. They haven’t found the trophies in your house. He thought about it - leaving them there to really put the last nail in your coffin. But he couldn’t part from them. That’s the key, Kit.”
I looked into his dark eyes, hoping I hadn’t crossed the line or overwhelmed him.
@janalikestorp
I just looked at you a little worried, “H-how do you know that?” I backed up out of instinct, but relaxed a little when I saw the look of your eyes. “Can ya help me prove my innocence?”
@thecallofdarkness
I looked around, a little worried that some orderly would have caught our interaction and thinking I was harassing you. “It’s why I’m here,” I whispered when nothing happened. “I see things. Sometimes before they have happened, sometimes after … my dad put me here when he and mom couldn’t take it any longer. They thought I was insane. So do they,” I said bitterly and nodded toward the orderlies and the nuns. “You don’t have to believe me. I can’t promise I can help you prove your innocence but I want to try. But the only way for me to do that is to use my … gift.”
I looked up at you, hoping that you would believe me. What I had told you, you had not told anyone, only the police and perhaps the doctors knew and why would they share those facts with me of all people? Would that be enough to convince you?
@janalikestorp
I nodded my head, “Trust me, with what happened ta me. I am gonna believe almost anything. If ya can help me then I will take it. Just tell me what I gotta do.”
@thecallofdarkness
I leaned forward, looking into your eyes. “Has the police or the doctors asked you about the trophies? He took an earring from the first victim, so they didn’t suspect anything at first - they probably thought she’d lost it during a struggle. But the second, he took her necklace and wedding ring. It seems he takes one more item for each woman he kills. They haven’t found that. I … I will have to touch you, get into your memories more to see where he puts them, what he looks like, how he walks … I know you didn’t saw much, but I will look at your memories from the side lines so to speak. Will you be okay with that? It won’t hurt but … since I watch memories chances are that I might catch something else too. All those little things that are a personal life. You understand? You still want to?
@janalikestorp
I shook my head. “They ain’t tellin’ me anything cause I was spoutin’ bout aliens and such. By all means. Do what ya gotta do.”
@thecallofdarkness
I look around and no one seems to be paying attention to us. Carefully I put my hand over his again, gasping as I’m pushed through a whirlwind of his memories.
I can see the aliens he’s talking about and it almost makes me have a heart attack on the spot from fear. For some reason they are interested in Kit but I can’t see why exactly. I think I might hear one of them mutter something that sounds like my own name but it’s all so blurred so I don’t know.
I see the killer, standing beside Kit’s unconscious body. He’s wiping blood on his clothes. Wiping … that might be something.
He also mutters something although I can’t hear what … where have I heard that voice before?
I strain against it but it doesn’t come to me. Perhaps that is because it isn’t a voice I’ve heard but Kit has. So he knows the killer?
With a gasp I withdraw from the sights, coming back to the presence. I realize that I’m grasping Kit’s hand so hard that it has gone completely white with dark red spots where my fingers dig into it.
“Sorry,” I mumble and release his hand. “I … I saw them. The aliens. That’s what scared me so much,” I nod toward his hand which will probably have bruises later.
@janalikestorp
I rubbed my hands, getting the blood flowing back into them, giving you an sincere look. “It’s alright. Are ya okay though? Ya look sick. Maybe ya should sit for a second. Can I get you water or anything?”
@thecallofdarkness
I nodded as I sank back onto the couch. “Yes, please, if it’s not too much trouble?” I whispered, licking my dry lips.
As you come back with water I smile shakily before downing it. “I … I saw the killer but I didn’t see who he was. But I think it’s someone you’ve met before. Maybe not at the time of the murder but as of now. He was speaking when you were unconscious and … your subconscious recognized the voice now when it listened to it through me, if you understand? There’s something else too that might be of good use. The blood on your clothes …” I took a deep breath, pressing my hand against my eyes before I could continue. “It was wiped off. Blood that sprays from wounds will not follow that kind of pattern. If you have a lawyer - ask them to investigate your clothes again. Perhaps they will notice that.”
@janalikestorp
I shook my head, “The police got it in evidence, they won’t let anyone near it. No doubt they might get rid of it or something. Maybe I might be able to find the man with the same voice. I mean, he’d make sure I fry for his crimes.”
@thecallofdarkness
I nodded. “Yes, probably. Unfortunately I couldn’t make out if he targeted you for a specific reason or if you were just first best. But I absolutely think you should do that - keep an eye out. He will certainly want to keep a close eye on you here and there are only so many people that can access.”
@janalikestorp
“Well, let’s think. Who is new to the place that came when I did. I doubt it ain’t no long term guy. Ain’t no guarantee that I was gonna be placed here. this was a last minute deal.”
@thecallofdarkness
“Who made the deal then?” I ask curiously. That was interesting. If this was a deal then someone had to have their finger in it - to get access to you.
I close my eyes and think back on who is new to this place. The inmates didn’t seem like they could pull off something like that so it had to be either one of the doctors or any of the priests or nuns.
I open my eyes as they go wide. “Dr … the new doctor.” I look around and lean forward, whispering to you. “Dr Oliver Thredson …have you met him?”
@janalikestorp
I shook my head. “Not yet, gonna see him later today…you..you don’t think he maybe the guy we’re after…do ya?”
@thecallofdarkness
I shrugged, my eyes still wide. “I don’t know … but logically it makes sense. He transferred her pretty recently, and we’re talking days, not weeks. I remember touching Mary Eunice and she was confused about it - because from what she knew Dr Arden hadn’t filed for another doctor. Thredson … he came from no where.”
I took a deep breath and leaned forward again, grabbing your hand. “Listen. If this place has taught me anything it’s this - just because someone’s a doctor it doesn’t mean they care about the well-being of people. Dr Arden is a former Nazi that loves to torment his patients. He knows about what I can do and … well, let’s just say he strapped me in that torture chamber of his for a whole night, making me hold his hand and see everything he had done back in the war … over and over again and everything he fantasized about doing to me … he didn’t do any of it - he just enjoyed scaring me half to death. That’s the kind of persons that run this place. If Thredson has required a transfer here he knows that … this is the place where you can tend to your dirty business without getting caught, because everyone here has their own dirty business to take care of. Just be on your guard with him. Don’t trust him. And whatever you do, don’t sign or admit to anything.”
@janalikestorp
I nodded my head, “Just till we get the proof.”
After our conversation I stuck around with you and Pepper until about lunch time. I was forced to eat further down the table, alone, since the hospital couldn’t figure out how big of a threat I was until I was evaluated.
@slightlyvicked
I nodded. “Until we get proof.”
At lunch I sat with Pepper and Shelley. I didn’t really hear what Shelley was talking about because I was keeping my focus on you. They had placed you alone at a table further away from the rest of us, which made me both feel bad for you but I also thought it would give you some peace and calm. Some patients were always hard on newcomers.
Sister Mary Eunice told me that a visitor, a journalist would make an appearance in the kitchen when I was on bread duty later that day. A Lana Winters.
@janalikestorp
Lunch was better than I thought for a place like this. The food was decently fresh, but still tasted like nothing. I did my best to keep my head down, but I couldn’t help, but get in a fight with an orderly when I was walking through the day room.
I ended up spending my day locked in my room, strapped down to my bed after a severe caning from Sister Jude.
@slightlyvicked
I got worried when I saw that you were in trouble in the day room, I wanted to help you but Shelley kept a hold of me, telling me to not be an idiot, that it would only get worse if I interfered.
She was nice though and managed to distract the guard in your corridor so I could sneak into your room.
“Hey,” I whispered as I came in. You were strapped to the bed, clearly dehydrated, which made me want to cry. There was a glass of water on your bedside table but clearly they hadn’t even thought of helping you. I gently cupped my hand around the back of your head, raising it up a bit so I could help you take a few sips.
“How … how are you?” I asked in a trembling voice. Stupid question maybe, but I couldn’t come up with something else to say.
@janalikestorp
I gulped down the water, not knowing when I would be able to get more. “Thirsty, ass hurts.” I said plainly. “Why ya here. Ya gonna get in trouble.”
@slightlyvicked
I made a little grimace. “I can imagine. Sister Jude brought out the old cane, huh?” I wonder and wiped your chin with my own sleeve.
“No, Shelley is distracting the guard, she will give me a sign if I need to get out. But you shouldn’t worry about me,” I said, stroking away a curl from your eyes. “You’re the one in predicament. I was worried about you,” I confessed. “Everyone in here are in hell, to a certain degree. But it’s even worse to those that are innocent. Like you. Plus, you aren’t crazy, not by a long shot. You … you are just a regular guy that something … well, very irregular happened to, and now you get to suffer because this world can’t handle the irregular.”
I gave you a weak smile and turned around, pulling down one of the sleeves on my clothing, revealing the burn mark of a cross on the back of my bicep.
“The Monsignor did that when I had been here a week. For being a witch,” I explained. “I tried to tell him that there’s a difference between being evil and being, well, clairvoyant. He didn’t believe me at all at first of course and I tried to convince him by telling him … personal things about himself. That was before I learned it was better to keep your mouth shut,” I said with a weak smile.
without thinking I went out and grabbed your arm, kissing along the scar. “I think you deserve some love in here too with all ya do.” I told you when I pulled away.
“You and I need to get outta here.” I said calmy, “I cant be here no more.”
@slightlyvicked
I blushed when you kissed my scar, honestly thinking you would think it ugly. I sure thought it ugly.
I sat down on the edge of your bed, taking your hand. “Kit, no one should be in here, it’s inhuman,” I said. “But I understand what you mean. I just don’t know how? There are guards and the place is locked down tight. There would take a lot of diversion and chaos for that …”
@janalikestorp
“We’re in a loony bin, how hard is it to get a little chaos stirrin’?” I asked, smiling softly. Shelley whistled, signaling for you to wrap it up.
“I’m gonna see ya soon, don’t worry okay baby girl? I can survive this.”
@slightlyvicked
I chuckled at that. “True, but we might need help from someone else, and I’m not sure who we can trust,” I tell you.
I jerk when Shelley whistle, reluctant to leave you. “I know, you’re hard to break, Kit Walker,” I tell you. “But I will worry anyway. That’s what I do best,” I try to joke as I bend down, gently kissing your cheek. “See you later, okay? Kit Kat.”
@janalikestorp
I nodded my head and said a goodbye before you left. I was stuck in my room for another day before I finally was cleared to be able to walk around again. I needed to use a cane as I walked around in the day room and could only walk for so much before I was getting tired.
@slightlyvicked
I saw you the moment you entered the day room and but I didn’t want to draw attention to us, so I patted the chair next to me and, of care for you I put a pillow from the couch on it.
“How are you?” I asked as you sat down. “I’ve been so worried about you!”
I squeezed your hand, seeing some new things from your captivity which made me gasp.
@janalikestorp
I just mumbled incoherently, still very much weak. Up close you to tell that I hadn’t been fed much as I thinned out, and a few new bruises were on my arms, but the biggest difference was the brand mark i had that was the same as yours.
“Can I get water?” I asked weakly.
@slightlyvicked
I nod and quickly move over to the pitcher on the counter, pouring you a cup of water. I help you holding the cup as I come back, since you are shaking so badly. I want to cry when I see how they have treated you, but that won’t help you much.
“Did they … did they do this because you talk to me? To the witch?” I wondered quietly, pointing to your brand.
I take out an apple from my pocket, having saved it since lunch. I didn’t get more chances to sneak in to you, but just in case, I put away some of my own food.
I give you the apple, hoping you can eat it.
@janalikestorp
I shook my head, “Monsignor said that the aliens I talk about are demons, performed an exorcism. Believed this would keep them at bay,”
I took some water and felt a little better now that my throat wasn’t dry. “That’s too hard for me. My jaw is sore.”
@slightlyvicked
I draw a deep breath, stroking your arm. “I’m so sorry,” I whisper. “I wish … I wish I could have done something.”
I nod when you say your jaw is too sore, sad I can’t give you any food. “I’ll help you in the dining room, later so you can eat properly,” I promise.
@janalikestorp
I gave a weak smile, “Thank you. How long they have ya in here, till rotation? Help me catch up in what I miss. Gossip is my only entertainment here,”
@slightlyvicked
I looked around the room and nodded toward the new patient, Lana Winters. “That’s our newest addition. Lana Winters, a journalist. Apparently she first came here to make a reportage about the bakery but … clearly she was a bit too curious for the liking of Sister Jude and the Monsignor, so they came up with a reason to have her committed. The fact that she’s a lesbian,” I told you.
I leaned a little closer whispering the rest. “She seems awfully interested in your story. She’s been pestering me, since someone told her we’re friends.”
I shook my head. “It was only when I told her that her partner valued her freedom over Lana’s that she left me alone …”
I was a bit ashamed of that, that I hurt her so deeply, but it was the truth, and she wouldn’t stop badgering me, not to mention she was calling me a gender traitor because I was friends with a women-killer.
@janalikestorp
“Bring her over,” I said softly, “We can chat. It’s okay,”
@slightlyvicked
“You sure?” I ask, looking at you with a worried expression. “You’re up for that?”
When you nodded I waved my hand at Lana, beckoning her over. She saw you and a new glint lit in her eyes as she walked over to us.
“Lana, this is Kit Walker,” I said. “Kit, meet Lana Winters.”
“So you are the killer,” Lana said, making me groan.
@janalikestorp
“As a reporter I thought ya be a lil more open. I’m here cause I was framed.” I said. “I thought ya might understand about being sent in for a crime ya didn’t do.”
“I’m gay, that’s considered a crime,” Lana said.
“Being yaself and loving who ya love ain’t a crime.” I retorted
@slightlyvicked
I snorted. “They didn’t put you in here because you’re gay, that was just a convenient solution for them to get rid of you,” I tell Lana. “They put you here because you started snooping and that made them afraid.”
I put my hand on your arm. “And Kit is here because he’s being framed for something someone else did. A convenient scapegoat.”
It doesn’t look like she believes me, but I don’t care. I lean over the table and whisper: “Don’t trust him. Thredson.”
@janalikestorp
She shuddered. “I’m sitting across a woman-killer and that man is the one who creeps me out. He just seems all kinds of off.”
@slightlyvicked
It made me angry to hear her talk this way about you. I squeezed your hand beneath the table as I raised an eyebrow. “Lana … I know you dream about becoming a famous journalist. Maybe winning the Pulitzer one day,” I add, seeing her eyes widen as she has not confessed that dream to anyone but her love, Wendy.
“But in order to do that you need to learn to keep an open mind,” I add. “Besides … I bet you never thought that Wendy would have a hand in having you committed. You didn’t think she could ever do that you you, right? But she did. That, if anything should teach you that you never really know who people are.”
@janalikestorp
“She…you’re lying. She wouldn’t do that to me…right?” She looked to you, looking for assurance that your reading was wrong.
She shrank into herself when she didn’t get any. “I can’t believe she would.”
@slightlyvicked
“In her defense, they threatened to imprison her as well,” I continue.
One might argue that it would be more noble to be imprisoned than betray the love of your life, I thought to myself but I didn’t say that out loud.
“You were the one they wanted, so maybe Wendy thought that in some way they would get to you, whatever she did. But like this, at least she got to keep her freedom,” I finish.
“Kit hasn’t killed anyone,” I then say. “I know that. Believe that if you will, but … you put your own partner in jeopardy because you were so eager to make a name for yourself,” I add a bit sharply. “Kit’s conscience might be cleaner than yours.”
I glance at you, hoping you don’t think I went too far. It’s just that prejudices irks me. I’ve dealt with them my whole life.
@janalikestorp
“Ease up on her.” I said gently to you, “We dont know the consequences of our actions until after they happen. Lana, I just wanted to offer a hand of friendship, trust me when I say that having friends in here is the only way ya gonna survive.”
There was an orderly that came in to announce that it was time for lunch and everyone started to clear out of the day room.
“Ya welcome to sit with me,” I offered Lana before getting in line, asking for you to help me to stand.
@slightlyvicked
I nod, feeling a bit bad for going so hard on her. But I have seen the darkest corners within her soul. Lana is not a bad person, I’ve seen that. But … there is a coldness and selfish streak in her soul that tells me she might not be the best one either, but I don’t say that.
I offer you one of my hands, putting my free arm around your back and helping you up. “Luckily I think we’re getting soup today,” I tell you. “So it should be easier for your jaw. You can have mine if you want, to get your strength back.”
@janalikestorp
I shook my head, “If I so much as see ya try and feed me from ya plate I’m gonna have ya tickle ya because ya need ya strength. I’ll get mine back, don’t ya worry,”
@slightlyvicked
I chuckle at that. “Please don’t take this the wrong way, but I have a hard time thinking you will be able to hold me down and tickle me in this condition,” I tell you with a kind smile. “Hence why I wanted you to eat. I can eat half my soup and the apple I offered you earlier, so can you have the other half?” I offer, thinking you will probably not accept that either, but I want to try.
As we come into the the dining hall I help you sit down at a table. “At least let me get it for you,” I say before hurrying over to the trays.
@janalikestorp
I smiled when you came back, “Ya too kind to me, thank ya doll,”
I slowly ate my soup, having to stop after a few spoonfuls to get my strength back. Pepper came around to join us eventually. She was happy to see me again.
“You’re welcome,” I say, going back to get my own soup. I happily greet Pepper as I come back to the table.
“Hello, Pepper, how are you?” I ask.
I felt so bad for the poor girl. She had been framed as well, by her horrible sister. At least Sister Mary Eunice was kind to her.
As the chatter in the dining hall rose I leaned in to you and whispered: “I know a way out. I saw it in Lana’s memories - the secret gate where she snuck in to get information about you. We could try to get out that way, we just need a good opportunity.”
@janalikestorp
“I don’t think I can go anytime soon, I’m too weak right now,” I whispered back, “And I gotta be back to my strength cuz I wanna take Pepper with us.”
@slightlyvicked
I give you a half smile. “I know that, Kit Kat, but I just wanted to tell you - give you some hope. And of course we’re taking Pepper with us. She’s innocent too,” I say, smiling at the childlike woman.
“But it’s something to cling on to. For me too. I have an appointment with the new doctor later,” I say quietly, fear coating my words.
@janalikestorp
@janalikestorp
I looked up confused, “Ya faculty though, they wouldn’t make ya see him…unless, is it cause ya talk to me?”
@slightlyvicked
“I don’t know,” I say, shaking my head. “But it’s a possibility.”
I shudder and rub my arms. “I’m scared. Arden is enough to deal with, but he … he’s just a sadist with medical knowledge of the body. Thredson is a psychiatrist. I’m scared he’s going to make my visions to some kind of schizophrenia or something and … have me lobotomized …” I say, scratching at the mark on my arm. “They still do that, you know, even if it’s very much hush hush about it …”
@janalikestorp
“Yeah I figured they did when David stopped touching himself one day.” I said, “Listen to me, Ya gonna be okay. Just say the word and I can get a riot going to postpone the meeting,”
@slightlyvicked
I shake my head. “I don’t want you to get into more trouble, Kit,” I say, patting your knee. “You need to get your strength back and more days in a strap bed won’t help with that.”
I smile weakly at you. “No, I’ll just have to suck it up. Hopefully I will just come off as dumb rather than defiant. They look down on those that has really lost their minds, but they don’t care about them - because they aren’t a danger to them. No one cares about loony tunes. The defiant ones … there are always a chance that someone discover they aren’t actually crazy.”
@janalikestorp
@janalikestorp
I nod my head, putting my hand over yours, “Just be careful doll, please. I’ll end up strapped to my bed because I worried too much over you,”
@slightlyvicked
I pout a little bit. “Hey, are you saying it’s my fault?” I tease you and give you a gently poke to your arm.
Then I get serious. “But yes, I will be careful. And you’ll be careful too, right? Promise me that, Kit,” I beg you, my eyes big. “No riots, no fights … just let me handle it. You need to take it easy.”
@janalikestorp
I smile and nodded, “for you doll, as you wish, I vow to keep my head clean, but can ya take this at least,”
He palmed her a shiv that me made from broken glass, held together by toothpaste, gum, and toilet paper.
“In case he gets fresh with ya.”
@slightlyvicked
I made big eyes and quickly hid it in my sleeve. “Kit, where … did you make this yourself? That’s really risky!”
Then I smiled. “But thank you, for caring,” I say and quickly look around so none will catch us and press a kiss to your cheek.
If the new doctor do try something I’m not entirely sure that attacking him might be the best strategy. Sucking it up may be the smartest thing to do, but I don’t want to upset you, so I don’t say that out loud.
“Are you sure you won’t need it yourself? In case Leigh wants to blow of some steam or something like that?”
@janalikestorp
“I’ll be alright. I can handle whatever they throw at me.” I assured you before I rush you off to avoid suspicion.
@slightlyvicked
I nod, pouting a little bit as you rush me off. I know you don’t do it to reject me, but … hits right in the feelings.
One of the Sisters follows me to Thredsons office and I knock. I can feel the edge of the shiv against my arm.
“Come in,” someone says and the sister leaves. I’m alone.
As I open the door and meet his eyes I get bad feelings already. This will be hard.
@janalikestorp
Thredson smiles at you from across his desk, “Ah, hello. I’m Oliver Thredson. I work for the state. Please sit down, take a seat this is just a formality I have to do to make sure the staff here is competent, so if Mr. Walker argues insanity or poor treatment I can rebuff it. Now if we can start with your name please?”
@slightlyvicked
I carefully take a seat as I study him. He is all smiles but something in his eyes is making the hairs at the back of my neck stand up.
“I don’t really understand what that has to do with me,” I say quietly. “But fine. Hannah. Hannah Ryder.”
@janalikestorp
“Well anyone who has to do with Mr.Walker’s care in here is a liability for the prosecution. And thank you Miss. Ryder. Now I need you to tell me what you think of Mr.Walker and why you were committed to this facility. If you are competent enough you might be asked to testify against him. I don’t expect to have this interview last more than ten minutes.”
Thredson had a rather professional demeanor and his face almost plastered with a smile, as if he was happy to talk to her but needed her to go as soon as she good. And she had good reason and Thredson soon found himself in need of her when he saw her face, and Bloody face never loses a target.
@slightlyvicked
“My file says I’m psychotic,” I answer, crossing my arms over my chest. “So I will probably not be seen fit to testify. Even so, I wouldn’t. I know he didn’t kill those women, doctor Thredson,” I say, watching a point above his shoulder, since meeting his gaze is making me shiver.
“I’ve seen violent men before. Kit is not one of them,” I add, daring to look straight into his eyes and swallow as I can sense the darkness there.
@janalikestorp
“I see, in your file you claim clairvoyance correct? Is that how you came to that conclusion?” He asked, unfazed by her weak attempt of confidence.
“And even the mentally ill can be a reliable source. You seem all that mentally fit and unfortunately if you do not testify while called for that can lead to prison time. Whether you help the prosecution or not with your answers, my job is to just say if you can get on the stand if needed, whether on Kit’a behalf or the state. I’m just the psychologist.”
@slightlyvicked
“You’re a doctor, would you really believe me if I said I was clairvoyant? Or would you simply think I was psychotic, seeing things that aren’t there?” I ask, looking away again
I jerk a bit as he mentions prison, biting my lip in agitation. “I’m not really sure how much help I could be. I’ve only seen Kit in here - what would that give them? Either way, I won’t help put him away. And threatening me with prison time won’t do you any good,” I add, raising an eyebrow, anger bubbling inside me, because he’s treating me like a chess piece. “
“I may seem mentally stable to you in this moment, doctor, but I’ve been in this facility for over a year now. I’ve picked up a thing or two. And there’s not a judge out there that wants to sit and watch a retarded woman drool for fifteen minutes straight …”
Deep inside I’m a bit scared that I’ve crossed a line, but his little power stunt is making me angry. He doesn’t care about us, he just enjoy toying with our lives. And I don’t even need my special ability to pick up on that!
@janalikestorp
“I’m not too sure they would believe that. I know my questions are making you upset, but the fact that you didn’t outright attack me proves a sense of mental control and stability. However your reasons for being locked up is enough to disqualify you. So for all intents and purposes our interview is complete. You may go.”
He still kept a kind facade about him, but the moment she was turned away he was glaring at her like a predator.
@slightlyvicked
I rise on shaky legs, not sure what to think about this. It’s clear he didn’t bring me here to ask about Kit, no matter his pretenses. And that voice … it sounds familiar even though …
Suddenly it dawns on me, where I’ve heard that voice before and I gasp, turning around with wide eyes.
It’s him. He’s the killer! He’s Bloody Face!
@janalikestorp
When you came back I smiled and hugged you, “Ya look frightened. What happened?”
@slightlyvicked
I cling to you, my whole body tense since I have practically waited for that doctor to come up behind me with a knife since I made the discovery.
“Kit …” I start, my voice hoarse. “It’s … it’s him … the doctor … he’s …!”
I don’t even dare finish the sentence, because what if someone hears me? What if they tell him? I only hope that you understand what I mean.
@janalikestorp
Kit looked at her, placing his hands on her shoulders. “Breathe. It’s alright baby girl, what’s going on? Take it slow,”
@slightlyvicked
I do as you say and take a deep breath. “It’s him, Kit,” I whisper. “He’s the killer. He’s the one that’s framed you. I recognized his voice from … from your memories.”
I just hope that’s going to be enough for you to believe me.
@janalikestorp
I paused before shaking my head, “Give me the shiv, I’m gonna get a real reason to go to prison,”
@slightlyvicked
My eyes widen before I shake my head too. “No, you are not,” I tell you, hooking my arm with yours and sit us down at one of the board games.
“He may know that none of us are really crazy, but he doesn’t know that we know who he is now,” I tell you in a low voice. “This is our chance to trap him, to make him reveal himself! Although I’m not quite sure how …”
@janalikestorp
“We can solve this with a quick solution,” I continued. “I can kill him. The world don’t need a man like him around,”
@slightlyvicked
I keep shaking my head. “Kit, try to be realistic,” I tell you. “I agree, he’s a monster, but in here he’s also a doctor. Protected by titles and a bunch of psychological mumbo-jumbo. Not to mention; guards! If you fail in killing him, then what happens? You will more than likely get a lobotomy, unless the guards just beat you to death first, simply because they can and he will have the chance to keep killing women. But if we expose him, then you will have your freedom back, your innocence proven and he can’t hurt someone else.”
@janalikestorp
I pout before sitting down, “So what to ya propose? We get him on tape confessin’? Ya gonna need someone who knows how to press buttons and ask the right questions,”
@slightlyvicked
I hadn’t really thought of that, but now when you say it … it actually sounds like a good plan. I nod, a smile slowly spreading over my face.
“That’s … that’s exactly what we’re going to do! Kit, you’re a genius!”
When I see your confused look, I let my gaze slowly scan over the patients in the daily room before I find who I’m looking for.
“We’re simply going to give a certain reporter the scoop she so badly wants … I mean, she wanted to interview Bloody Face, after all, right?” I say, looking over at Lana, whom are sitting by herself on a chair beside the music player, smoking a cigarette.
@janalikestorp
I look over to Lana. “She needs protection though. We cant let her get hurt ya know, this is a suicide mission.”
@slightlyvicked
I nod. “I know that. Perhaps she should be the one getting … you know,” I said, meaning the shiv you had given me earlier. “I would do it myself, but I think he’s suspicious of me now. I could try doing it myself, of course … but I think the best would be to ask Lana if she wants to do it. If she manages to get Thredson to confess, then they would also know that her partner’s admission to lock her up was false, made by threats, not medical reason. She would have her freedom back too.”
@janalikestorp
“Bring her over, see if we can talk her into our plan then,” Kit said. “She likes you better,”
@slightlyvicked
“Not really - she thinks I’m a weak woman that can’t think for herself,” I mutter, but I still get up and walk over to Lana.
“Hey,” I say, smiling carefully at her. “Do you have a moment? Me and Kit … we have something important to talk to you about. You said you wanted to know about Bloody Face, right?”
I add the last part in order to bait her. I can already see her nostrils flare, like she can smell some sensational news.
@janalikestorp
She came over to me and we laid out our plan slowly to her. She looked skeptical, but slowly she nodded her head. “I knew something was off about him when I went in for my interview. I think we can take him down. I can get under his skin, all I need is protection for when he turns on me,”
@slightlyvicked
I smiled at her, happy that she had seen through Thredson. “Well, Kit made a shiv and gave to me, but if you’re putting pressure on Thredson, then I think you should have it,” I tell her.
I fumble the shiv out of my sleeve, keeping my hands beneath the table and carefully slid it over to her.
“And … before every session you have with him, I’ll keep an eye out,” I say, meaning my visions. “You are both in close approximation to me now, if something big is about to happen in your future that involves him, I should see it.”
@janalikestorp
Lana appreciated the shiv and tucked it in her waistband. “I appreciate your visions but call me a skeptic until you actually stop my murder,”
@slightlyvicked
I just smile. used to that kind of skepticism. “No worries, you don’t have to believe it,” I assure her. “I just thought I’d say it - in case it would make you feel more comfortable.”
“Who has the next session with him, Thredson?” I then ask, looking at the two of you.
@janalikestorp
“That would be me.” I said, “My appointment is at four. Any idea what to do with him? Before I go rogue and strangle that bastard.”
@slightlyvicked
“Well, that’s just it,” I say, putting my hand gently on your arm. “You can’t do that, for obvious reasons, but you can’t show him any hostility, Kit. We can’t let him know that we know.”
I bit my lip in thought. “Don’t you sometimes deal with rude and horrible customers at your garage?” I wonder. “Perhaps you should try and think of him like one of them. Just be on the same behavior as you are with those kinds of people?” I suggest.
@janalikestorp
I took a deep breath. “Right. Okay. I can do that. I can do a ten minute session with him. I’ll be alright,”
@slightlyvicked
I hoped you were right and that the doctor wouldn’t do something you’d regret. “Just remember, don’t admit to anything, even if he says it will help your case. God knows what he’s going to use it for,” I said.
I put my hand on your arm, closing my eyes and tried to feel in the darkness if there was a warning or a feeling, which always came over me if a sight was approaching.
@janalikestorp
“I got nothing to confess to,” I affirmed, “he ain’t making me a liar like the rest of em.”
I took your hand and held it, absentmindedly I kissed your knuckles, needing the reassurance. “I better go. I’ll be okay,”
@slightlyvicked
If there are something it apparently won’t appear to me, so I reluctantly release you. “Please be careful,” I whisper. “Even though he’s a monster, remember he’s clearly also a very skilled psychiatrist. Don’t let him into your head.”
I quickly look around so no one will see it and press a kiss to your cheek. “Good luck.”
@janalikestorp
I nod my head and I make my way, being escorted by two orderlies. I could already feel my body tense when I saw that damn psychiatrist .
@slightlyvicked
I follow you with my gaze, my brow furrowed in worry. I drum my fingers at the table, but a black glance from an orderly makes me stop. Instead I nod at Lana and start wandering along the corridors, hoping I may catch something from what’s going on.
@janalikestorp@janalikestorp
My interview was tense but calm. “You can trust me Kit. I’m just here to try and get the truth. That’s all.”
“I am tellin the truth. I ain’t no killer, and definitely not Bloody Face.”
@slightlyvicked
There are no visions as of now, and even though that must means nothing major is about to happen it also annoys me, because I feel like I don’t know what’s happening.
I don’t have to wait long though, you emerge from the doctor’s office after just fifteen minutes, between two orderlies. You look okay, albeit a bit put out.
I let out a sigh of relief and give you a trembling smile, a lump in my throat forms as your facial expression changes and you give me a warm glance.
Something is making the hairs at the back of my neck stand up though and I quickly turn my head, meeting the gaze of Doctor Thredson. His eyes move between you and me, and back again before he gives me a sly smile, making my blood run cold.
@janalikestorp
I come over to you, not noticing the glance Thredson gave your way. “God I hope that’s the last I have to talk to him. I was so close to just stabbing him with his own name block,”
@slightlyvicked
“Sssh,” I warn, looking around cautiously but I can’t help but smile. “I understand the feeling, though,” I add, interlacing my fingers with yours.
“How did it go - what did he say?”
Then suddenly everything go white and a vision takes place. It’s mostly blurry - but I can see you and me … kissing in the asylum’s kitchen. Then myself on a slab, bruises around my neck, Thredson standing over me, saying something like “Walker strangled her … she fancied him and he used that to kill her.”
You cry in your cell, screaming I was alive mere hours ago, that you didn’t kill me. Then Thredson gives me a shot of something, making my eyes open again, my chest suddenly moving up and down in a faster pace.
“There now, Hannah …” he whispers. “You are going home. With me …”
And then … I see the days he has planned for me, in his home.
I rip myself out of the vision, staring at you, my eyes white as snow. “Kit …” I whisper, my whole body shaking. “I … I think …”
And then I gently shove you out of the way so my vomit won’t land on you.
@janalikestorp
I was caught off guard, but the moment you looked sickI ran for a bin to give you. The nurses looked over and just gestured to the cleaning supplies, making sure I knew that they weren’t cleaning her mess up. “Hey baby girl, ya alright. I’ll get ya water after this.”
@slightlyvicked
I shook my head, tears brimming in my eyes as I wiped my mouth. “Kit … you don’t … you don’t have to clean up, it’s my mess …” I said weakly, putting the bin down onto the floor.
I grabbed your arm, hard enough so that my knuckles whitened. “Kit … he’s … he’s going to … he will kidnap me and … frame you …” I whispered. “You won’t even make it to the chair … the guards will beat you to death,” I whimpered, tears now running down my face. “And him … Thredson … I’m his next target …!”
@janalikestorp
“Hey, well, we know what’s gonna happen now, so we can stop it can’t we?” Kit asked, “We ain’t lost yet, so don’t have complete faith ya vision,”
@slightlyvicked
I was still pretty shook up after my vision, what I had both seen and felt Thredson do to me still lingered in my mind, not to mention how I had seen parts of your brain land on the walls in the isolation cell. “How are we going to stop him?” I whispered, wiping tears away. “We can’t exactly go to the police. And yes, it’s fully possible to change the future - but I don’t know when he plans to do this …”
Then I remembered us kissing in my vision and my cheeks got red. “I … I saw something else too … it might have something to do with it … his rage …”
@janalikestorp
“What was it baby girl? Maybe it can help us?” I offered. “Anything ya give is helpful.”
@slightlyvicked
“Well … he … he sees me as a target … his possession … and you … you and me … we were …”
I stutter like some pre-pubescent girl, my cheeks scarlet red, but it’s so embarrassing. The vision clearly hints that there will be something between us, but no one likes to have their privacy breached like this. What if you got angry with me for seeing that?
I took a deep breath and knew that bigger things were at stake, though, so I added, in a hushed whisper: “you and me were kissing … about to … do … more. And they discovered us.”
@janalikestorp
Kit went wide eyed slightly before coming back down. “I think this is gonna seal this fate, but I can’t separate from ya, and then ya become an easy target for him. So I need ya to either stick with me or Lana. Maybe if ya stay with Lana more than me, they won’t see me as the threat,”
@slightlyvicked
I chewed on my lip. “Maybe,” I agree. “But … what if that puts Lana at risk? I mean, they know she’s a lesbian after all, what if they punish her for it? And ..”
I quieted, not saying what was really on my mind. I had seen it in my mind, me and you inevitably drifting toward each other. I just wasn’t sure if that was what you wanted, really. If you actually wanted me.
We were humans, stuck in a torture chamber. And humans take comfort in whatever way they can find.
I already felt something for you, but what if you did only see me as a comfort from the horrors of this place?
@janalikestorp
Kit looked around and pecked her lips, pulling away quickly before the guards or nurses saw. “Trust me, it won’t be easy now, but we gotta for our future. I ain’t a man who likes bein’ interrupted when I’m havin’ fun with my lady. Please can ya do that for me?”
@slightlyvicked
I was too surprised by your quick kiss to do anything but stare, but your words afterward made me frown a bit.
“I’m not … what does that even mean?” I wondered, not following. “But yes, I get it. I’ll try to keep with Lana as much as possible. But … I don’t think it’s any risks if the three of us spend time together - that will just look as patients bonding. But no alone time, got it.”
Even though it hurt like a bitch. But you were right - if we were even going to have a future at all, then we had to be careful.
@janalikestorp
“That’s my girl,” he said. “Ya being a brave girl for me, thank ya. Now ya gonna go to lunch and sit with Lana alright?”
@slightlyvicked
I roll my eyes a little and give you a gentle shove. “I’m a grown woman, Kit, not a toddler, you don’t have to baby me,” I tease you. “But yes, I will do that. I … I’ll miss you though,” I add, quickly looking around before I hastily stroke your cheek, then take off down the corridor to go to the canteen.
@janalikestorp
I followed a few minutes later. I ended up eating away from you today, eating with Pepper today. Occasionally I would glance to you.
@slightlyvicked
I sat with Lana and Shelley, just picking at my food. I did my best not to look over at you, but it didn’t seem to matter because Shelley gave a cackling laugh and patted my hand.
“You have it bad for that new guy, huh?” she asked. “I don’t blame you - he’s a fine one.”
Even though I knew she didn’t mean anything bad with it I couldn’t help but bare my teeth at her which just made her laugh more.
I got ice cold when Sister Jude announced that you had been called to Thredsen’s office after the meal.
@janalikestorp
I looked to sister Jude and nodded, taking time with my meal before getting escorted. Lana has to assure you that I would be okay.
@slightlyvicked
I held on to Lana’s arm, anxiety gnawing in my chest. “Do you think we would be in trouble if we snuck up there and listened by the door?” I asked her.
She raised an eyebrow at me and I shrugged. “Alright, stupid question.”
I gasped as I saw a vision of you in Thredson’s office, him sitting behind his desk, smoking a cigarette as he focused on you, questioning you about the murders.
You claimed ignorance, saying you had no memory of doing that or how you ended up at the crime scene.
Thredson smiled and then mentioned my name. I saw your jaw tense.
“The nuns have seen you talking … are you fond of her?” he baited you. “Or do you plan on making her your next victim …?”
@janalikestorp
“It ain’t nothin’ like that. She merely is the only one who talks to me. Besides, I’m really after Lana, but she gets super protective. Lana was the woman tryin’ to paint me as a killer,”
@slightlyvicked
(T.L.-T) Tyler stepped out the car and looked at her new home. Her mother and stepfather had wanted her to wait unti after the movers were done - so she wouldn't bump against anything and hurt herself. Tyler hurting herself was the never ending worry of their lives. It was why she had never gone to a normal school, why she had started eating birth control pills as a 12-year old and why it had always felt like she was living her life as a burden. Without greeting anyone she silently walked inside
Tate could see that the new residents were off. The daughter moreso than her parents. He didn’t want to outright make himself known so he just watched her as she pulled herself around the house depressed.
Tyler walked around the downstairs of the house. It was beautiful, she couldn’t deny that. And big.
She met her mother in the kitchen. “Ah, there you are,” she said, pausing her unpacking of glasses. “I’ve put your medicines in this cabinet,” she said, with that special voice, the one that meant ‘listen carefully’ . “The nasal sprays and pills are on the bottom shelf. I have put our new family physician on speed dial and …”
“… and except for the fact that we have a new family physician it’s the same old as in our old home,” Tyler finished for her. “I have hemophilia, mom, not Alzheimer. I know how it is.”
“I’m only trying to look out for you,” her mother answered. “Speaking of which, you have gotten new sleeping pills from the doctor.”
“I don’t like them,” Tyler protested. “It makes me feel like my head is filled with cotton the next day.”
“Tyler, you know what they’ve said. A case of hemophilia combined with sleepwalking can be fatal. We can’t have you wandering around at night, hurting yourself.”
Yeah, better drug me up, so you guys can sleep at least, Tyler thought ironically.
“How about this,” she said, sarcasm heavy in her voice, “tell the doctor to get me some good, ole’ amphetamine. Instead of sleeping a drug induced sleep - I’ll stay awake all night!”
Her mother looked at her, shaking her head in disappointment, her eyes brimming with tears which made Tyler sigh and walk toward the second floor in search of her room.
@janalikestorp
I watched from the doorway. Hemophilia huh? Well if I ever got bored I know how to frighten you a good amount to ease the dullness of the afterlife.
@slightlyvicked
Tyler came up to a room, which she assumed were hers since it seemed the most “teenage-ish” and walked in.
She walked over to the suitcases which had been laid on her bed and opened one, preparing to unpack. It couldn’t hurt to unpack her clothes at least, right?
Just then she thought she saw something out of the corner of her eye and quickly turned her head. But nothing was there.
In her absentminded state she didn’t paid attention to what she was doing and managed to scrape one of her cuticles against a zipper.
It didn’t hurt that bad but it wasn’t the pain that made her gasp and stare at her own finger as if it had turned into a deadly snake.
“Come on, don’t!” she whispered. “Just this once, come on …!” but apparently fate wasn’t on her side. The next minute blood was trickling down from the edge of her finger, as if someone had just cut the fingertip off.
@janalikestorp
Tate raised a brow at the amount of blood that left from just a small cut. He didn’t want her to end up dead so soon and with such a lame exit, so he managed to sneak by her a bandage and guaze to help stop the bleeding.
@slightlyvicked
Tyler quickly raised her hand over her head to lessen the blood flow and when she turned around she discovered some gauze and a bandage on her desk. Probably one of her parents.
She pressed it against the wound and then raced into the bathroom. She turned on the cold water and stuck her hand beneath the flow. Cold made the blood vessels contract, it would help with the blood flow.
Suddenly the light flickered and she could have sworn she saw someone lying in the bathtub - in a pool of blood! But when she blinked there was nothing there.
“Jeez, now I’m seeing things too,” she muttered to herself.
@janalikestorp
Tate continued to watch her, scolding one of the ghosts in the house, “She’s mine, so back the fuck off,” he said to the ghost before it vanished.
In reality Tate hadn’t had any interest to haunt the past tenants of the house until now, calling dibs on Tyler. However, he didn’t know if he wished to haunt her or let his boy hormones lose on her.
@slightlyvicked
Tyler wrapped the gauze around her finger, still holding her arm up over her head as she walked down into the kitchen to get some of her emergency meds.
Luckily her mother seemed to have gone somewhere else in the house, so she didn’t receive a scolding for being reckless.
Just then a girl ran into the kitchen, seemingly from nowhere, smirking at Tyler and pointing to her finger. “That’s not good - they can smell that, ya know?”
Tyler jumped on the spot, letting out a squeak. “W-wha …? Who are you?!”
@janalikestorp
“I used to live here, I’m Addie. I like to play with my friends here.” She said bluntly, “You need that taken care of before a frenzy starts,”
There was a knock at the door and Constance was in the back door, “Hi, I’m your neighbor Constance Langdon. I believe my daughter managed to get in here again, keep telling people to change the locks but they find her harmless.
@slightlyvicked
Tyler frowned at her, not understanding what ‘friends’ she was referring to. “Uh-huh,” she answered, when Addie told her to take care of the wound.
Tyler moved to the cupboard, finding the special compresses with coagulating salve and wrapped it around her finger. She raised her eyebrows as a blonde lady suddenly waltzed in through the backdoor.
“Hi,” she answered. “I’m Tyler. And, we just moved in, so I don’t think we were aware … that the neighbors kept running in and out …” she added, looking at Addie, smiling a little. “She does seem relatively harmless though.”
@janalikestorp
Constance grabbed Addie by the arm. “Let’s go,” she said sternly.
“No! I don’t wanna live with you if I can’t be a pretty girl too! I wanna see Tate!” She yelled at her, “Let me say hi to Tate!”
“Adelaide you are making a scene now hush and get a move on. Say hi some other time when you’re not intruding on your neighbors,” Constance said.
@slightlyvicked
Tyler almost jumped again from Addie’s angry yells and quickly waved her hand. “No, no, it’s okay, she can stay if she’d like,” she hurriedly said. “And you too, mrs Langdon. I’m not sure where my parents are - they should be around here somewhere, - but I can make you some coffee if you’d like?” she offered.
“Addie, would you like a cup of coffee too, or do you prefer soda?” Tyler asked Addie, moving over to the fridge. “Umm … may I ask, who’s Tate?”
Just then her mother came in to the kitchen, her eyes widening at the two strangers in the room. “What’s going on here? Who are you?” she asked, making Tyler wince from her rude tone.
“Mama, this is mrs Langdon and her daughter, Addie,” Tyler said. “They … came over to wish us welcome,” she smoothly lied, not wanting Addie to get in trouble for sneaking into their house.
@janalikestorp
Addie seamed to catch on. “Hello, I am Adelaide and this is my mom Constance.”
She smiled and waved. “It is a pleasure. We used to live in the house and my mom wanted to give some tips.”
“Yes, the hard wood for instance. Best to clean it is with distilled white vinegar.” Constance said. “What made you move out?” Asked her mother.
“Divorce, I couldn’t live here knowing my husband was sleazing here, and I couldn’t handle the mortgage alone when I kicked him out.”
@slightlyvicked
Tyler’s eyes widened from Constance’s hard words. She didn’t think she had ever met anyone that frank, and neither had her mother, apparently, since she seemed a loss for words.
“Umm, mom, I put on some coffee for Mrs. Langdon. Why don’t you give her a cup,” she suggested, snatching two soda cans from the fridge. “Addie, why don’t you show me where your old room was? Perhaps it’s my new one,” she suggested, eager to get away from there.
@janalikestorp
Addie smiled, “You have Tate’s room. I saw you at the window. His window. Can I say hi to him?”
She did not wait for a response before she was already on her way up the stairs, calling for Tate.
Constance blew it off, explaining that Addie was just really close to her brother before he left and she enjoyed going to his room and pretending he was there, talking to it as if he was.
@slightlyvicked
“She has a brother?” Tyler’s mother asked. “That’s nice. Is he away at college or something?”
Tyler didn’t wait for Constance’s answer, instead she took off after Addie. Sweet as Addie may seem, she didn’t want anyone snooping around in her room.
“Addie,” she called as she walked up the stairs. “Ad …”
She quieted as she reached the second floor as she could have sworn that she heard voices - as if Addie was talking to someone.
@janalikestorp
I smiled as I saw Addie, giving her a gift, a nice rock I found in the garden.
“Is mom treating you good? Here you want something for yourself? I managed to get some cash out of the last tenants. Get yourself something nice for your birthday.”
@slightlyvicked
Tyler frowned and snuck through the hallway over to her room. Yes, she definitely heard voices. A male voice talking to Addie.
She pushed the door to her room open and walked inside, her eyes big. “What the hell?” she exclaimed. “Who are you? Addie, who is this?”
Tyler looked the stranger over, feeling her heart skip a beat - and not from fear.
He was … DDG. Drop dead gorgeous. He actually looked like a fallen angel with those blonde curls and eyes so dark one could barely distinguish the transition from iris to pupil.
@janalikestorp
Addie smiled and ran off. “Addie, wa- ugh!” I sighed. “I’m Tate. Im... I will be going now”
@slightlyvicked
