the moon called, she wants her glow back and she knows you’re the one who stole it. see, i know you get lonely at night and her showing off helps nothing, being purely alone in the vastness of black never once doubting her magnificence
God was thinking of her when He created that chalky heart of yours chipping away with every touch surrounded by space and not enough love
i don’t know how she does it stares at the world like one big eye in the evening hues, never seeing passed the dusk of blue, we dance, we drink, we celebrate everything and nothing and she watches above and never once aches to fall upon us
the moon called, she wants her glow back but don’t listen to her. it’s old news to pity yourself. it’s not trendy to hate existing. reflect her sparkle, she’s our soul’s mirror
i find her bravery fascinating, follow her example. you might be swallowed in your own darkness just like her, but don’t question your beauty nor covet the other person, just do what you were created to do, shine upon the world with confidence
