Billie Lourd on how Grandma Debbie Reynolds wants people to identify her

griffshepherd:
the sudden greeting took him a bit off guard but heoffered a slight smile as he saw her. she had noticed the girl a few minutes back, but didnât care to think too much on it, maybe she was just costumer but alas. griffin internally cringed at the use of his code name, âyes⌠letâs not say that name out loud, it sounds worse than how i couldâve imagined it.â he said with a light groan, before shaking her hand. âiâm griffin. can i ask why the name abby?â
" didn't you choose your name? " jane asked, half confused and half amused. it was definitely a code name that would have embarrassed her to have, but since it was his choice she had figured he must have been someone comfortable enough with himself to use it. it wasn't like it didn't fit. " nice to meet you, griffin, " she made sure to say before shrugging and answering with a smile, " it's another plain jane name, no pun intended. i'm nothing if not self aware. "
@rheawindsor
â are you ok? â the thump that rhea had gotten from the ground after her slip on the ice in front of jane was loud enough that sheâd actually heard it, and concern flooded her expression. â that didnât look like a fun trip. â
felicreck:
âLong story short, Iâm not allowed to run baths in the dorm anymore. Just showers from now on.â
" is it you or the school saying that? and if it's the latter are they even allowed to do that? what grounds do they have to ban you from taking a bath? "
sorry for being gone i forgot my email! im gonna continue janeâs valentines thread and drop my others i think so if youâd like a starter or would like to plot let me know!Â

griffin had been in blissful ignorance, just wallowing in his typical pain, when jubilee suddenly came to his door telling him heâd been signed up. he was so against the idea, and had absolutely no idea why his ex-girlfriend would put him in such thing. but there was no turning back now, and he wasnât that much an asshole to simply leave whoever abby was hanging. so there he was, with absolutely no expectations, in world of colourâ such a strange place for a dateâ with his nametag peeking from underneath his leather jacket as he waited for the person to arrive. Â
âhey there!â after doing five whole sweeps of the store, jane felt pretty confident in approaching and greeting the boy stood at one of the displays. he was the only one who hadnât moved in all that time and she felt it had to be him, though ... she was still visibly relieved when she took a peek at what she could see of his nametag and saw the mist start of her dates codename. âmister .. smolder? iâm abby,â she pointed to her own tag, and then stretched out a hand, âbut - jane. my nameâs jane.âÂ
dariusandino:
darius was never one to drink coffee. every morning his family would have fresh juice. he knew coffee existed, but heâd never actually had it. âuh, sure. thanks. do you have a habit of buying things and pass them on ?â
"cool! i hope you like it -" aware they could be kind of an acquired taste, jane did worry a little bit as she held out the cup to him that he wouldn't like like it, but tried to shrug that concern off. even if he tried and then threw it away, at least it was out of her hands. "i wouldn't call it a habit. it's just something i think is nice to do every now and again, especially when i've got the spare dollars. it's nice to be nice!"
piperhxm:
piper raised a brow as the other took a sip, humming and nodding. â i guess youâve proven your point. gimmie. â she said with a smile, reaching out before asking â how did you manage to accidentally buy two, though ? like, didnât you notice the price difference ? â she pointed out. after all, piper wouldâve noticed â she was a poor-ass college student, of course she wouldâve noticed if the price had gone up suddenly. but, she also realized that may not be the case for everyone. â nonetheless, youâre a blessing, and thank you. could always use a coffee fix. â
"i was starting to think i was gonna need to buy another, but with you at my side so you'd know it wasn't messed with," jane laughed, relieved when the cup changed hands and she was one extra coffee down. it meant she could enjoy her own finally, which she took a sip of as she shrugged, before replying, "i was paying with card, and i didn't pay attention to the till. it didn't matter by the time i realized - it was already made, and i don't mind handing a few bucks worth of coffee to someone else." she did that sometimes without it being an accident, so it wasn't any skin of her nose. "i'm happy i could help! and i hope it's enough to curb your slump. it's not a straight espresso, but ... hopefully it does the trick!"
emmanuelheartless:
âNothing wrong with it? Well now that seems quite disappointing and quite entirely impossible. So I feel conflicted. After all it was an opportune time for something to go wrong, but also the impossible is something one loves to see everyday and my quota isnât quite filled up as of yet⌠Forward is an interesting conceptâŚâ
jane prided herself on not being easily confused, but ... this boy had done it. both of her eyebrows dipped in the middle as she looked back on him with a new kind of uncertainty, the hand holding the drink in question half outstretched towards him. " so .... do you want it? â she asked again, adding after a moment of further thought, â or are you, like, into the idea of it being messed with? because it hasnât been, but iâm sure you can add whatever kinda stuff youâre into, into it. âÂ
averyforrester:
âoh, if youâre not going to drink it, iâd definitely take it. thatâs really kind of you, as long as youâre sure you donât mind. it definitely wouldnât go to waste with me.â avery chuckled, the idea of coffee sounding like a blessing at the moment.
" i couldn't possibly drink two coffee based drinks. i do love a good metaphorical hop off the walls, but that'd be just a bit too much, " she laughed, holding out the drink to avery without a single second thought, " i hope you enjoy your coffee laced with copious amounts of heavy chocolate. "
piperhxm:
piper stared blankly at the other, eyeing the drink â â should i believe you ? â she asked, tilting her head. â and before you ask, yes there are enough people who donât like me for me to be genuinely worried. not that theyâd try and kill me or anything, itâs just ⌠i mean, iâve had my food spit in before, and iâm really not gonna take it today. â
" i would never do that. " though she meant her words and seemed genuinely concerned that there were people out there that would, jane knew piper would have no reason to believe her. after brief deliberation she whipped the top of the drink off with a dramatic flourish and took a sip, acting like an ancient king's cup tester and demonstrating it was okay before putting the top back on. " see? not poisoned or anything. i mean ... i guess i'd have still drunk it if i'd spat in it, but i promise you - itâs all good. â
fkdmitri:
dmitriâs face dropped so quickly, it almost could be comical. âariadne has work to do.â he said, rather sharply. âshe needs to be focusing on things, instead of walking around moping, or drinking cafe latteâs with friends.â if there was anything more pathetic then his cousin, it was his crying cousin. god. of course she was friends with this idiot. he swallowed, trying to force out another smile. âi didnât know the three of you were such good friends.â he tried to say, lightly. dmitri tried his hardest not to roll his eyes at her naivety. âyes, i suppose it is rather nice.â he lied. âbut still. niceness deserves niceness in return, doesnât it? maybe you, olga, ariadne and i can all hang out together one day. iâd love to get to know who she spends all her time with.â who she wastes all her time with, more like.
she didn't like that way he spoke about her friend. it was so ... controlling. but there wasn't anything that she could do in ariadne's absence other than hum a reply of " it's a caffè mocha, actually. " when he was finished, and pretend as if his words hadn't bothered her as much. all the while as she deadpanned her own reply, jane was making a mental note to look up the other girl later, and check to see was she even still at school. the last thing she would have wanted was for dmitri to have driven her away some how. " they're my best friends, " she replied, cluelessly, unable to help a smile as she thought to them. they weren't a trio, by any means. but that didn't mean their separate friendships didn't mean the world to jane, and she loved both girls dearly. " that would be nice, " her smile became something of a grimace, the three of them having to hang out with him being the last thing she wanted to do or to force them to do, but something she didn't know how to back out of, " we could grab lunch together sometime? " and hang out somewhere public, which was about the only place jane thought she'd ever trust him in.
lionheartrichardd:
âOkay but you gotta stop saying there is nothing wrong With it. That just makes people think there is. Have you tampered with peoples perfectly good Beverages before? I donât know who your brother even isâ
" actually ... it's usually something people say when there really is nothing wrong with what they're offering? it's just you who's unfairly suspicious. i was just trying to be nice, crack a joke or two, whatever - if you don't want it, you don't have to take it. "
fkdmitri:
âwhy not give it to your good old pal, olga?â dmitri said, trying his hardest to keep his voice from being too sharp or conniving sounding. he went for nonchalant instead. âthatâs what friends are for, right?â not that heâd care. he was already reaching over and taking the coffee anyways, taking a long sip of it. it really tasted terrible. âmm, thank you. at least let me buy you something in return?â
" oh ... that would have been a good idea. olga's probably busy, but - ariadne could have probably done with a cup of something warm. " she wished she hadn't made the offer. it was too late now the cup was out of her hands and in his but she wished she'd held onto it, and just found someone else. " i actually haven't seen her around lately though. where are you hiding her? "Â jane tried to make it into a joke, even if it wasn't entirely one, and though her next refusal was because she didn't entirely trust him she still smiled graciously like she had actually considered the offer, " don't be ridiculous. it's not a random act of kindness if i'm getting something back for it - you just enjoy your drink, safe in the knowledge you don't have to pay me back even a little. it's nice, right? "
lionheartrichardd:
âI love coffee.â he nodded with a tired half smile. âI wasnt thinking there was..till now.â he uttered with a small smirk. âYeah.. yeah thats great I appreciate it.âÂ
â cool. like i said, thereâs nothing wrong with it - and iâm super trustworthy, so you can believe me. ask my bro. or ... if you decide to trust me ... just drink it before it gets cold. â
rheawindsor:
âi just donât really like coffee, full stop, soââ looking from jane to the drink she extended towards her and feeling increasingly bad for NOT wanting it, rhea heaved a sigh and finally gave in, wrapping her hands around the cup and gazing down at it, skeptically, âif i were allergic to hot chocolate, i wouldnât like it, would i? i mean⌠iâm not allergic, but iâm just sayingâ thereâs a flaw to your logic. this is safe to drink, right? there arenât sixteen pumps of espresso and only one pump of chocolate or something crazy like that?â
" if you were allergic to hot chocolate, how would you know if you liked it or not? your first experience would be ruined by implied sickness and anyone would assume you wouldn't have had it since, so ... " smiling toothily she dragged her last word out too much, almost impatient now, waiting for rhea to drink it, " overdose occurs at fourteen shots, so rest assured that starbucks would have never let me have two more than that. chill out. take a drink. widen your horizons. "
rheawindsor:
âohâŚâ thatâs okay! i actually donât drink coffee, or caffè mochaâsâŚ. whatever they are.âÂ
" ... you don't even know what a caffe mocha is and you're telling me you don't like them? " jane blinked at her in disbelief and held out the drink again as another offer, " just try it. itâs basically a caffeinated hot chocolate and, everyone likes hot chocolate. â
