The sensation of unzipping his violin case was satisfying, reassuring. In the midst of the dramatic transition from home to here, anything familiar would be of some value. Music is on, if not at the top, the list of things that could ease the high-strung first year. It was his alone - not his fathers. Nope. Not at all. 

— In the midst of the clutter of instruments in the display case, a lone violin sits to the furthest table in the showcase. “Dad, can we go in?”  —

The practice room was quiet. An ideal situation indeed. “Nothing less than perfection,” his father would say. Everytime he did anything, really, his father would utter those words. The constant motif both haunted and drove him ...

— he dashes in, letting go of his father’s firm hand, as he runs towards the item that drew his eye. The violin.

Nevermind that. Max delicately placed his instrument on his shoulder, his other hand reached towards the sheet music he needed. With a final adjust of the music stand, he begins. The soft hum of the violin exuded through the air as his bow moved through the motions of the notes.

Yes – plain and simple. Although it tends to be more common the higher up the clique. Not to mention it all depends on ages and such - a lot of my peers spend more time hooking up than they do studying. Which could be a shame if Mokwon wasn’t the ideal dating pool. 90% of everyone here is either rich or famous, it can’t hurt to bump elbows with people who can give you a career boost later. Especially if all it takes is a little blow job…

Ah ... well, um, interesting indeed.Thank you for your honesty. No one’s been honest with me whatsoever. Has it ever disrupted you? Any first hand accounts? I do need to prepare myself in case such a situation arises, especially if I’m cramming for a test the night before. But some creaking from above breaks my concentration.

I don’t know, I’ve never seen anyone hooking up– well, actually, one time, I saw two people go into the janitor’s closet and then I waited for them to come out because I wanted to know what they were doing in there, but they didn’t come back out until they got caught by a staff member. I went inside the next day to see what they could’ve been doing, but there’s not a lot to do in a janitor’s closet; there’s hardly any space and there’s nothing but cleaning supplies in there. I don’t get it.

Wow are these kids creative. But hey at least its outside of the dorms! Your dedication to figure out the answer yourself is commendable to say the least. Experience is certainly the best teacher - so your research is kind of a first hand reference that incoming students, like myself, will find useful. I would like to ask a few more questions though, as I’m not too sure myself. Was it loud? Disruptive?

Hm… well I’m not sure. Shows sometimes are based in real life experiences. But then again, it might be a bit too much. So… it depends, I guess? I don’t know. But I’m sure it might not make a negative impact on your studies.

How old are you?  I want to go to America one day.  My English isn’t the best, but I think I’d know enough to get around.  It’d be an adventure, that’s for sure.  First class, right.  Where I was born? Winnie, nice to be acquainted with you. I’m sixteen, heading into my first year actually. You’re around the same age I suppose ... but America’s great. I can give you great tips to do around most of the big cities - my family and I travel a lot. But if you ever needed to learn English I could teach you a bit. Only if you help me with my Korean. I mean I’m fluent, but I tend to slip here and there. I’m even having trouble pronounce your hometown! Is it eek-sahn? or ick-sahn?
