Thinking about how daimyo Boba basically lets you spend whatever you want on yourself in town, be it for lingerie, getting your hair done, buying clothes. He just wants you to feel nice and pretty!! Money is made to be spent!

Scrap that, actually. Mos Espa doesn’t have a lingerie store (and probably barely sells anything beyond basic underwear), so he sends for these amazing seamstresses from places like Coruscant and Naboo to come to the Palace. They bring the store to you, with really exquisite lingerie and clothes, and Boba pays handsomely for it. He lets them do their work with you, and at some point will come and sit and let you show off for him or ask him what he likes if you can’t decide. I think his happiness comes from making you happy, so it’s one of those things that really endears you to each other.

love contrasting this idea with a pre-sarlacc, mean and green young bounty hunter boba who is also totally a giver, but is a LOT more selfish about it. like he lavishes you with gifts... buuut a lot of it is stuff he likes and/or wants to see you in. sure, most of it isn't half bad, and he'll definitely still give you waayyy too much credits to do what you want with, but boba's subtly recommending a certain color, a particular style, maybe he's even outright telling you what looks "best" or not (yikes!), etc etc...

and then he gets partially chewed up and is like "hm. maybe i SHOULD value the opinions and feelings of others and also why the hell was i such a loser" then boom. daimyo boba happy that you're happy 🥺

Ooo I think pre-sarlacc Boba is also somewhat stressed about money at times, which doesn't mesh well with someone who likes to bring their partner gifts (I mean the guy WILL kill someone, or at the very least bring someone to justice who has hurt you, which is a gift in itself and it's definitely a love language). So when money feels a little more permanent, his gets out of his head about what he should pick, and the flood gates are open!
