I truly don't get why the common stereotype of tank/healer MMO couples is surly toughguy tank and anxious people-pleaser healer because every time I queue in as a healer I can feel myself physically turning into the devil

While I’m at it…I just…love thinking about Lupin and how he came to Hogwarts. I mean, there are a few options for how her came to become a teacher at Hogwarts (and maybe they actually mention it later, I’m still rereading haha)

My favorite idea is that Dumbledore asked him early on. And, just imagine, Lupin isn’t sure, of course he doesn’t want to put any kids at risk even if he *does* get the wolfsbane potion. But THEN he sees that Sirius broke out of Azkaban. And of course, he thinks Sirius is after Harry like everyone else, and Lupin *knows* Sirius better than probably anyone else as well. So he accepts the job because goodness knows he wants to protect Harry like he couldn’t protect James and Lily 🥲

It could’ve also been that Lupin wasn’t asked to teach untill after Sirius escapes, same logic as before, but he could possibly even contact Dumbledore first (though with Lupin’s low view of himself, this seems less likely). But still, he wants to be close to Harry in case a Sirius does show up, gotta protect the little Marauder 😭

And THEN there is the train…teachers don’t normally ride on the train, and Lupin could probably just poof to where he needed to go. But no! Sure, maybe it’s also because he’s tired because I feel like September 1st was near a full moon that year…but I fully believe he wanted to be on that train to keep an eye out for Harry. Because Sirius would know that adults aren’t usually on the train, so it would be a prime time to attack. And goodness knows, Lupin was glad he was on that train because if he wasn’t, then that dementor would’ve sucked Harry’s soul right out of him!

(Also another note, I love how kind Lupin is to Harry…and mean to everyone, but when Harry can’t go to Hogsmede, Lupin notices him looking down and talks to him, and by the end of their chat, Harry is feeling better. Let’s give it up for Lupin helping kids feel better, whether that be with chocolate, a good talk, or a confidence boost 🥹)

I saw a post saying that Boromir looked too scruffy in FotR for a Captain of Gondor, and I tried to move on, but I’m hyperfixating. Has anyone ever solo backpacked? I have. By the end, not only did I look like shit, but by day two I was talking to myself. On another occasion I did fourteen days’ backcountry as the lone woman in a group of twelve men, no showers, no deodorant, and brother, by the end of that we were all EXTREMELY feral. You think we looked like heirs to the throne of anywhere? We were thirteen wolverines in ripstop.

My boy Boromir? Spent FOUR MONTHS in the wilderness! Alone! No roads! High floods! His horse died! I’m amazed he showed up to Imladris wearing clothes, let alone with a decent haircut. I’m fully convinced that he left Gondor looking like Richard Sharpe being presented to the Prince Regent in 1813

And then rocked up to Imladris a hundred ten days later like

Update: Oh man, y'all really didn't read them... Nintendo really needs to stop hiding information that is vital to understanding a character's mindset behind furniture in DLC. I recommend watching a youtube video of all of them being read, or on the wiki, because there is so many interesting bits of information.

I pretty much only put the parts here that are most relevant to Zelda's character and the development of her bond with Link, but there's much more!

For example, I didn't put Revali's here at all, which talks about his struggles to master his gale, and shows he originally wanted to be Link's friend, but just like Zelda, ended up projecting his own insecurities onto Link's silence. It also showed how he cared about Zelda as a friend (albeit worded in his tsundere birb way), appreciating the scarf she made for him and wishing the goddess would finally show her some mercy. It makes him at least slightly less of a jerk overall when you know that it was basically a defense mechanism or a front.
