Hiiiii *✧₊✪͡◡ू✪͡ I found you through picrew and I’ve decided to try and do my own! Your windswept oc maker has really inspired me! <3 I was wondering how you did the eyes? Having the pupils and irises change but not interfere with eye shape itself? Is it something with the rules, layering, files…? I’m wanting to do something similar but it feels like I’m missing something and I can’t really find any tutorials on how to do it :(
I’d love some advice on this (maybe a rec to point me in the right direction if you have one?) but if not that’s fine :)
⁺✧.(˃̶ ॣ⌣ ॣ˂̶∗̀)ɞ⁾ just wanted to say I love your art! And I hope you have a good day/night <3
Thank you so much for your kind words - I'm so glad to have inspired you!! :')
The eyes for the Windswept Picrew were honestly one of the most time-consuming parts, I'm sorry to say ;u; - but here is how I did it.
Every eye shape has a section of 'skin' around it. This meant I had to color every eye shape with every shade of skin. So, one color for one shape looks something like this:
(If I did this again, I would make it more of a blur than a hard line.)
In the end, the files look something like this:
And so on and so on, for every color:
Then, you can add the irises on a different layer. Because of the 'skin' around the eye shapes, the irises can change size, shape, and even be moved around. The sclera can change color, too.
If everything were spaced out, it would look like this:
And the effect looks like this:
It's very, VERY time consuming, but I like the end effect! These are the most customizable eyes for a Picrew I've made (so far).
I hope this was helpful! Good luck making your picrew!! :)
