Ive been thinking about Hana-kimi nonstop since the episodes came out and I just really really love it. I have for like 6 years now, but yeah. I am so unbelievably blessed to get an anime for this really niche manga that has had no active fandom for like a decade. I remember checking out the 3 in 1 volumes at the library and showing all my friends. I bought the art book from a convention, have written fanfic for it, made the characters on every game I play (tomodachi life, sims, etc) and now have collected two versions of the manga and hope to collect the Japanese version soon. I remember the post-manga depression I got was so disastrous after finishing the series because it took over like a year of my life before i eventually did finish it. I remember I went on a walk and cried, then promptly started the process of rereading it, despite the fact i had to rerent all the books from the library. Being in a fandom by yourself for so long is so depressing. I am so excited for people to realize how wonderful this little world is.
I love the dramas, but they really dont give me the same feeling the original manga does. They’re good, but they aren’t the same as the manga, which is why im so happy the anime has been perfectly accurate so far. Like ugghhhhhh i dont think I’ve ever been happier in my LIFE. I LOVE HANAKIMI!!
