#hewwo.........................my friends were all talking abt hetalia and i remembered this blog #ooc tbt ;

Typewriter keys clacking alone in the antique store's display window, full sheet of paper floating away, it was tempting for Emma to make herself visible to the Frenchman- but it soon became clear she already had his attention as another sheet of paper went into the typewriter.

oh, she certainly has his attention! he’s seen a number of old antiques in his trips -- more oft than not, a number went home with him as well, into the many rooms of his sprawling home for people to oooh and aaah at at their perusal.

this one hasn’t caught his eye because it was a typewriter. truthfully, it was one thing he’d never bought from an antique shop, because he had his own from many years back. it doesn’t get much use these days, but there’s still something satisfying about the rough clack of the keys under his fingers.

this one is click-clacking along without any help, though.

for someone as vain as francis can be at times, he really. isn’t bothered by his scars on his body. as long as his face is fine he’s not too bothered.

it’s faded, yeah, but definitely not as much as he’d like it to be. luckily, paris is the city of fashion as well as love and scarves are always in fashion! also artsy solid black turtlenecks & slacks are always in. basically, he hides it, but he doesn’t make a huge deal about hiding it, if that makes sense. if you see it, you see it, and he’ll just avoid questions about it.

francis loves humans and humanity, but also gets so fucking sad about humans all the time. he’s seen some people do great things for selfless reasons ( i.e. jeanne ) but hes also seen some of the most heinous shit imaginable

as for specific people he’s fallen for, he falls in love so easily!!! and it’s so awful when he does!!! because he knows nations and humans just don’t mix!!! so he’s always miserable when it happens!!! it hasn’t happened in a while but he’s overdue for someone to be kind to him and very sweet to him and he’ll just Fall In Love and then Die and probably cry on antonio or whoever he’s hanging out with at that given time

France's sense of self-worth.

META TIME / ACCEPTING.

basically ‘i feel like im the worst so i act like im the best’ is the best way to describe it. once a massive world power, francis isn’t nearly like he was when he was an empire or a naval superpower or anything like that, and a lot of it is his own fault in his mind.

it’s not so bad a lot of the time but he can get worn down really easily by being around people who are either doing much better than he is or bring up his own failures a lot. he bounces back visibly pretty quickly, but francis is known for being a bit of a downer when he’s having a bad day

his best sense of self worth was either in the ancien regime, just before the revolution, or during the napoleonic era when he was, at least for a while, absolutely stomping the rest of europe
