âWhat? You only got into one school?â He eyes Jasonâs letter.
He snorted at his question. "Of course not. They'll be stupid not to have me." He chuckled cockily. "What I was saying is you have other option other than hockey."

âWhat? You only got into one school?â He eyes Jasonâs letter.
He snorted at his question. "Of course not. They'll be stupid not to have me." He chuckled cockily. "What I was saying is you have other option other than hockey."
âThatâs mine, sorry. It was a bad shot.â
He turned around when he got hit by a ball. he looked at it for a second before he looked up to Paige. "Oh yeah." he picked up the ball. "That's alright."
"I donât know. I donât think she knows how professional hockey works. Itâs not like American football where you have to play on a college team before an NFL team will draft you, but maybe she thinks thatâs how it works.â
"Yeah, that's common misconception. i should've known." he looked down at his own letters and sighed. "Well, at least, you have options."
âHey, listen. I really need to talk.â
"Talk?" he raised a eyebrow. "You want to talk to me or you just want to talk?"
Sookyeom chuckled. She had to admit that she preferred how much more direct westerners were compared to her peers in South Korea. She appreciated how it was less of a guessing game and more of a puzzling one. âIâd be honored.â She said softly.Â
âWell, Mister Pickard.â Her voice started gravely, but her teasing smirk hinted to otherwise. âI did recall saying that I would make time for you.â Since he was so bold to make an exception for her, then she certainly could do that for him.Â
A smile spread across his face. It's been a long time since he found time for another person.  "Around 7PM is good?"
Yunmiâs smile dropped as her eyes briefly glanced back at where she had discarded her package. âThey donât have to commit a murder if someone already has a death sentence.â It took her a moment to realize how dark she sounded, but once she did, she brushed her hair to the side and looked down.Â
âYouâre right.â She agreed with him as quickly as she could. âSome musicians are quite dastardly, but IâŠâ Yunmi stopped herself. She had been rude and spoken out of turn when he was about to leave. She bowed slightly in an apologetic manner.Â
Jason decided to go back in shuffling through his letters when what she said caught his attention. He blinked at her. "I'm sorry. What did you mean by that?"
âWarm and sunny. I prefer it over the weather here.â If she knew him more, she wouldnât have minded spending his break with him, but that was too much to ask, she supposed. âIâve never gone to Rio. Did you enjoy it?âÂ
Sookyeom did a lot of her traveling alone. Her parents were often too busy and her love for music was something she preferred not to share with them. âCarnival or not, Iâm sure we can still do something fun.â Late nights didnât bother her and while in Australia she tried to watch reruns of AIHL games. She still didnât really understand hockey, but she figured she would give herself some time.Â
"Well, I definitely want to go back. Who knows maybe we can find and extra seat and spare it for you." Jason had internally cringed because that wasn't so subtle so he just shake it off with a smile. His smile turned into a smirk when she suggested they can do something fun. "Right. Maybe we can finally have that coffee. Thatis if you are not busy tonight, though."
âI am. But it doesnât hurt anyone if I apply for college, right?â He slides the letter back into the envelope it came in. âAnd, my guidance counselor kind of forced me.
"Well, you are right except you might have all of these what if's in the future if things don't work out well." he raised a brow at what he said. "Why? Your guidance counselor doesn't think you'll make it to the drafting?"
âThen we can say that it was an informational package.â She skirted around the  the issue. The last thing she wanted was to face her problem head on. Yunmi was tired and quite frankly, sick of her sickness, so she couldnât help that her polite tendencies waned with her patience. âIf not that, then I apologize for interrupting you with my presence. Iâm sure your concern is sweet to some.âÂ
"Well, I don't usually meddle with other people's lives. I just find it odd seeing as people would actually kill just to have the opportunity you just got." he explained then just shrugged. "I'll leave you to it."
âReally, what? Pissed that I got into Boston College and you didnât?â With a smug expression, he turns the letter for Jason to look at. He assumes Jason knows him well enough to know that heâs only kidding around.
"Clearly, they made a mistake. Some mis up, maybe?" He kid back. He looked at the letter then nodded, a little impress. "But seriously, I did not know you were interested in getting college. I thought you were pretty dead set on going pro."
âApologies.â Yunmi bowed her head slightly in an apologetic manner, before taking the package from the trash and then putting it in a blue recycling bin. Dreams were usually recycled.Â
âAnd no, you didnât.â She smiled at him politely. âI recycled accordingly, but of course, I will admit that I made a mistake earlier. âÂ
Garbage segregation was the leased of Jason's concern so he just shook his head when she apologized. "What you were throwing didn't look like some recyclable rubbish."
âFUN THAT WAS what Oliverâs good at, at least that was how he had seen that, if one is not annoying or just tolerable then that thought applied. Jason wasnât annoying, in fact he was someone Oliver deeply cared for, he loved his twin. He couldnât see a time where heâd hate this bloke, he meant a lot to him. He just wished that instead of being a pain in the ass, he would actually give his brother a fun time. So without any preamble, Oliver began to walk again, the only thought in mind was booze and making his brother pissed drunk. Once they reached the establishment with the flashing LED lights, he pushed the door open and was glad to see that it wasnât a strip club, just a bar. There were only enough people in there. He moved his way towards the bar, taking a seat on one of the tools. âOrder away, mate.â He told his brother.
Relief went over him as the place turned out to be just a bar. He didn't even realized he was worried about that. It wasn't like he expected though but then again, he was in a different country; things were really bound to be different. Even Jason himself wanted to be different. He wanted to leave his uptight self and for one, be the person Oliver wanted to have fun with. Surely, his connection to his brother runs deeper than anyone else but a pure night of fun with his twin wouldn't hurt. He took a seat at one of the tools and sighed. Jason was glad they were on a country where they passed the age limit for drinking because he didn't have fake ID. He ordered borboun because to be honest, it was one of the few alcoholic drinks he was familiar with. "Cheers?" he said to his brother while raising his glass to him."
Yunmi smiled bitterly at the package in her hands, decorated with Julliardâs emblem and colours. She didnât have to look inside to know that they had accepted her, but even though she knew, she couldnât bare opening it. She dropped it into the trash bin. She wasnât sure if she would even live long enough to see the school.Â
Jason tried to concentrate on sorting through his mails but her expression while looking at her package perked up his curiosity. His eyebrow raised when she threw the package. "Did I just really see you put your future into a trash can?"
Augustus sits on a bench near the mail room, several large envelopes and colorful folders resting opened on his lap. His eyes scan a letter in his hand with the Boston College seal at the top. âIf you were me, what would youâŠâ He trails off and looks at the person he almost asked a question to. âNever mind.âÂ
As far as Jason knew,  Augustus was all for going pro that's why he was surprised when he caught a glimpse of college letter. "Really?" he asked.
âMaybe.â She smiled at Jason. âWhat did you do for your break? I went to Australia.â Sookyeom had gone to a music festival for her spring break and during the whole trip, she had resisted the urge to send Jason pictures. She wasnât quite sure if they were at the level and she certainly didnât want to paint herself as too easy. Â
Jason thought if Sue was not around the school during the break then maybe he did not really missed much which caused him a little bit of relief. "I went to Rio with my family. Too bad, we're a month late for the carnival." He said, smiling at her. "Australia, huh? What it's like?"
âI was in New York visiting family and friends. It was a blast.â
"Good to hear. I don't think I've been to New York just for pure leisure."
âAt least go on one ride with me?â Samantha frowned, head tilted to the side. âThis is your last Wirosco Festival. You can spare a couple minutes before throwing yourself onto the ice.â Shaking her head, she fiddled with the thing of tickets, an unsettled feeling forming in her stomach. âIâm not Ollieâs girl, for oneâŠâ
He sighed. "Fine. One ride." Another sighed went through his lips as he mentioned about being his last festival in Wirosco. Jason just looked at her for a moment then laughed because that was almost the same answer Ollie would give him when he teased him about Samantha. "Well, you're the closest one he gets...for now." He said meaningfully then gave her a wink. "So, what ride can you suggest?"
