Maybe I should give professor creepy Silas’ body, so he can raise the dead.
Seriously, where the hell is everyone?
Hey.

Seriously, where the hell is everyone?
Hey.
Now that I think about it, it’s been way too quiet in this pesky town don’t you think?
Most would consider that to be a good thing.
Yeah?
How are you feeling?
Okay, actually. Calm, I guess? If that makes any sense.
Hey to you too.
How are you?
Decent.
Well, hello.
Damon.

Best Friend Bonding || Caroline & Elena
Caroline practically skipped over towards the kitchen, when they were younger that was always the first thing she did when entering the house. Her mother used to always forget to buy food for the house and there was never a shortage at the Gilbert residence. “You want pizza? I can go for some pizza.” She asked as she scanned the fridge, pulling out a bag of blood. She went to the cabinet and pulled out the tequila and two glasses.
She filled a little more than half of the glass with the liquor and then filled the rest of the space with blood, taking out a small spoon and mixing the drink together. She did the same with the other. Taking both the glasses and the bottle back into the living room where Elena was. “Oh, I’m thinking about becoming a bartender at the Grill, what do you think?” Caroline asked with a grin, popping down on the couch next to her.
Elena smiled as Caroline carelessly made herself at home. It made things feel less strained and stressed, more like they used to be, before both girls were dead. Things could remain the same, right? Nothing really had to change, if they didn't let it. So what if the world as they knew it had been turned upside down, and almost everyone they knew had died. They were still Caroline and Elena -- two best friends since childhood. The only thing different was their uncanny ability to not age.
The brunette scrutinized the mixture Caroline had created, a light laugh escaping her lips. A year ago she would have been disgusted and gagged, but that was no longer the case. Without a seconds hesitation she downed it, the blood and tequila being a perfect conversation for her cravings. "Please do," she laughed, "Such a better alternative to the vervain they're serving."
Best Friend Bonding || Caroline & Elena
Caroline laughed softly to herself as she grabbed her purse off her dinning room table and her jacket from the closet, before leaving her warm house and adventuring off into the snow towards Elena’s house. This was Caroline’s favorite time of the year, she liked the cold and the snow and the lights that everyone keeps on until New Years anyway. With that thought in mind she decided to walk to the Gilbert house. Since she could probably walk the way there blindfolded, she took to looking around the snow covered houses.
It wasn’t long before she found herself on Elena’s street. It was then that it hit her how long it’s been since she’s been here. Definitely not since Elena’s become a vampire, which was odd because there was a time she was over the Gilbert household everyday. “Alright, where’s the food and the lingerie, Carebears in the house!” Caroline called out as she threw open the front door and made a beeline for the kitchen. “You better have food, I’m starving.”
Now a vampire, and the Originals seemingly no longer such a significant threat, a part of Elena had expected things to calm down. The constant roller coaster of her life to quiet to gentle roar. And it seemed to be that way for a little while —till now that was. Alas and as she very well should have figured, no such luck. With the sudden influx of new residents, Elena couldn’t help but feel increasingly suspicious — no one just came to Mystic Falls for vacation; that was something that had been made very clear in the last two years. And just like every other time, her suspicions had been confirmed, as she now became aware of a new abundant species in Mystic Falls, though they weren't so new, so much as ancient wolves. Now being dead, Elena was no longer an asset to Klaus and his hybrids - leaving her with little protection, apart from the Salvatores. She was weak, and new - a blatantly easy target for those skilled in the art of killing vampires.
Elena sat restlessly on her couch, a blood bag in her hands, as she sucked the contents of it out and into her ever so burning throat. She was getting better at controlling it - not being so messy, but her craving for fresh blood only increased as she resisted the urge. Her feeding was interrupted as she was alerted of the presence of another being at the front of her home. Quickly, she threw the bloodbag away as Caroline entered her home, with out so much as a knock. Elena smiled, and came back up to her feet. "Blood in the fridge, and tequila in the cubard she called back.
...Why am I even awake?
…But breaking shit is fun!
Take some anger management classes, while you're at it.
...Why am I even awake?
I knew it. But I’m kinda in high demand so you can have me for the rest of the day? Sound good? Awesome. ‘Cause I’m coming over.
Just don't break down the door.
...Why am I even awake?
Exactly. You always have to have a gildline for everything. Come on, ‘Lena, be spontaneous! Want something and just go get it, no thinking, no problems.
Okay, fine -- you got me, Caroline Forbes. I'm so in love with that hot bod of yours, and blonde curls -- how will I continue on without making you mine?
...Why am I even awake?
Nope. I just know you too well, Gilbert.
So forward, Forbes. I don't usually do it until at least the 3rd date.
...Why am I even awake?
Maybe not, but we both know you want too.
Someone's awfully sure of themselves.
...Why am I even awake?
Would it be like every holiday ever all at once if I was naked?
I'm not inclined to answer that.
...Why am I even awake?
Well, what if I climb into your bed and stay there forever? Then am I back and better than ever?
It'd be like Christmas all over again.
