Not gonna lie… It’s a bit embarrassing when you catch yourself getting jealous of a fictional character being with another fictional character.

I think Baela and Alyn’s kiss could have worked, but they needed to build up to it over the entire season.

Alyn didn’t grow up in the ‘incest is normal’ family, so him being okay kissing his half-niece is strange. You could have had him realise his attraction to her after Jace’s death, and spend the season having him struggle with it. Baela could also have realised she felt connected to Alyn too, but feel guilty for it as she was still grieving Jace. Spend the episodes building the two of them up, giving them actual conversations where they dance around their attraction and actually get to know each other, before they finally give in and kiss during the last episode of the season.

As they’ve done it in the show, it feels like the writers speed ran a relationship they weren’t really interested in but had to add because it happened in the books.
