We've got it all backwards..
SoI think the majority of us will agree that Wren has to be involved somehow, and alot of us are set on the idea that he is Uber a/A.D.. I was convinced of this too until about 20 minutes ago. (Id just like to say, I saw a post similar to this that sparked the idea, if I find the post again Iâll be sure to link it). Marlene has been saying things like âeverything we think we know is the oppositeâ something along those lines, I canât exactly remember, but I think thats the jist of what sheâs trying to say. This makes me think that Wren is the exact opposite of A⊠just hear me out.
Wrens father was in a mental institution, we know this, and many of us assume its Radley, which I agree with. I believe its a strong possibility that Wren is the brother of Bethany Young. Jessica was having an affair with Bethanys father, so its definitely possible Mary was aswell (or possible ONLY Mary was, it was never Jessica) I donât wanna say that Spencer is also Wrens sister because I canât handle anymore incest on this show honestly. However, he could definetly be Charlottes brother too (im not too sure on this). This is one possible connection between Wren and Mary.. I would say that he was her doctor, because lets be real PLL would try and pull the whole âa man in his early 30s was a doctor for a middle aged woman 25 years agoâ thing, and defend it as âdream logicâ, but im not gonna go thereâŠ
Anyway moving on, I think that Wren was sent by Mary to look over Spencer, Charlotte and basically that whole situation (but mostly Spencer), which is why he married Melissa, and why he chose to work at Radley. I think he did know about Charlotte being A, and at times helped her, to protect her and ro protect Spencer from the truth. For example, if Charlotte got herself into any major major trouble or danger, Wren would get her out of it. I think Wren is basically the guardian angel of Rosewood.
** an additional theory thing.. its a possibility that wren and archer swapped identities.
Back to the Wren is Bethany and Charlottes brother thing. When Charlotte called Wren to tell him that Melissa killed Bethany, #1 I cant imagine she would have a phone just sitting in her room at Welby to call whoever she wants whenever she wants. Her calls would be supervised, monitored and limited. If she had limited phone calls, why would she call Wren of all people?? She couldâve used those calls to contact Alison, Jason, even her father⊠if she didnt have a connection to Wren, then why would she choose to call him? #2 Why was Wren so quick to leave Melissa? Everyone else seemed to be very understanding of her situation, that she was trying to protect Spencer. It doesnt make sense that Wren would be any different, unless of course his loyalties lie with Charlotte and Bethany? (Quote Mona season 4)âŠ.
In season 4 when Wren made that suspicious phone call âWeâve got a problem, I take care of my end you take care of yoursâ I believe he was speaking to Mary. This was when the girls really started suspecting Charlotte, sheâd been seen sneaking into radley, Wren had to protect her, Spencer, Mary and the other girls, thats why it was a problem. Its likely be was speaking to Mary when he was on the phone colouring the red coat too..
I love this theory, and im firmly sticking with it. How spectacular and amazing would it be, if this whole time we were convinced Wren was the ultimate bad guy when in reality he was the EXACT OPPOSITE. Spencers guardian angel.
