El Hogar means Home in English had now become El Hagard! The Beaux Art, Neoclassical Renaissance style 1914 building along Juan Luna Street cor Muelle dela Industría Streets in Binondo Manila is now home to quite a number of informal settlers. Theyd give you a good stare as you walk by or take pictures of what heritage advocates describe as one of Manila's Crowne Jewel. The building was saved from demolition in 2015 by the NHCP so the owners of the building with the City of Manila stopped the demolition. #SaveElHogar campaign was launched some years ago to raise awareness of the cause. Since Manila already lost the Jai Alai Building and cant afford to loose another one. After the Escolta Photowalk yesterday... El Hogar is the structure that really stood out for me. Since it is like some 30 years older than the other structures and mukhang anytime eh guguho na sya. Im really happy to have seen her in real life should the owners decides to really put her down. #ElHogar #EscoltaStreet #Escolta #Binondo #HeritageBuildings #EscoltaPhotowalk #Manila #NHCP #NationalHistoricalCommissionofthePhilippines (at El Hogar Bldg. Its so sad that the Capitol Theater is now being demolished. It said in the notice that Manila City found that the building is not safe to be used or occupied. I hope they will do everything they can to leave little traces of this beauty for the history of it. The building was built in the 1930s and designed by Julio Nakpil the 1st national artist for architecture. #CapitolTheater #EscoltaStreet #Binondo #Manila #Philippines (at Capitol Theater (Manila))
Went to Escolta Street for an Escolta Street Photowalk. Stopped by the FIRST Coworking Community at the 5th floor of the First United Building. Looooove the modern industrial design of the place! ❤❤❤ Where old meets the new. #FirstCoworkingCommunity #FirstUnitedBuilding #EscoltaStreet #Binondo #Manila (at FIRST Coworking Community)
View from the top, Antidote Bar at I'M Hotel. At around 35th floor I think. Over looking the Makati Ave and a bit of the Gil Puyat rush hour bumper to bumper traffic. #Makati #Philippines #Traffic #RushHour (at Antidote)
I bot this from a wandering monk earlier today at Nueva St Binondo now Yuchengco St. He had several prayer breacets and necklaces etc... with him. He said he came from China and that he only speaks Mandarin... ah ehhh napalaban ako. I didnt had enough with me for the amount he was selling this for but he said that its not that I don't want to buy it for the intended price but its just that I didnt had enough with me. So he sold it to me in good faith. Im sure this pcs was made, sold and bought for the best of intentions. ❤❤❤s it!!! (at Binondo, Manila)

After the three day expo last week me and my colleagues immediately went to the Ruins of St Paul's or 大三巴牌坊 (Dà Sān Pā Pá Fāng) in Chinese. I come here every year after the expo for some tourista feels and stuff.... Originally a school and church built in 1640 by the Jesuits and was destroyed by a fire during a thyphoon in 1835. In 2005 was officially listed as part of the Historic Centre of Macau, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. - Taray diba, a must visit, when in Macau. #RuinsOfStPauls #大三巴牌坊 #SenadoSquare #Macau #UNESCOWorldHeritageSite (at Ruins of St. Paul's)
Been coming to Macau for the past 5 years, walked around till my foot hurt to get inspired by the amazing architecture and interiors of these super structures. To date.... my favorite is MGM Cotai. Unique exterior, really a cut above the rest. Interior is sooo premium, I havent been around so much but one of a kind luxury in design ive never seen (OA). I love their restaurant area, the lobby led screen shows different beautiful places from around the world accompanied by ambient lighting and relaxing jazz tunes that gives the most relaxing ambiance. Sarap matulog. #MGMCotai #Cotai #Macao #Macau #China (at MGM 美高梅)
Went all i-pang i-pang with this guy. I-pang or 1 磅 means One Pound in Cantonese. 1 pound of black pepper pork jerky or 1 pound of tender beef flakes. Etc.... Their port jerky is the best ive tasted, so tender, just the right sweetness. Pastelaria St. Paulo is the shop. Better than Koi Kei's #RuinsOfStPaul #Macao #Macau #PasteleriaStPaulo (at The Ruins of St. Paul's, Macau, China)

Went lamierda last night with my cuzzin who lives in Macao. After dinner he brought me to the A-Ma Cultural Village. At the Estrada Do Alto De Cologne the biggest statue of the Goddess A-Ma 19.9 meters high and is made of 120 pcs of big white marbles on top of the Dieshi Mountain facing the sea. A-Ma or Mazu meaning maternal ancestor, mother or grandmother. " Mazu also known by several other names and titles, is a Chinese sea goddess. She is the deified form of the purported historical Lin Moor Lin Moniang, a Fujianese shamanesswhose life span is traditionally dated from 960 to 987. Revered after her death as a tutelary deity of seafarers, including fishermen and sailors, her worship spread throughout China's coastal regions and overseas Chinesecommunities throughout Southeast Asia. She was thought to roam the seas, protecting her believers through miraculous interventions. She is now generally regarded by her believers as a powerful and benevolent Queen of Heaven. Mazuism is popular on Taiwan; her temple festival is a major event in the region, with the largest celebrations around her temples at Dajia and Beigang."
