Hello and welcome to the first ever (hopefully annual) Fantine Week!

What is Fantine Week?

As the title suggests, it will be a week in which we will all come together to create fan works centring everyone’s favourite girl. Literally anything you can think of will be accepted including traditional fan works like art and fics, video edits and gifsets or even analysis posts and historical references. As long as it’s about Fantine, I want to see it!

When will Fantine Week take place?

(hopefully) 22nd to 28th June 2026

This is subject to change but hopefully this gives you all just under two months to create some works and shouldn’t overlap with barricade day too much. If you want to participate and this date is a genuine obstacle for you please let me know and I’ll see about maybe changing it.

What are the rules?

- Tag your works with #fantine week 2026 and @ this account so I can see and reblog them. Ideally post your works within the week but I will reblog late submissions up to a couple of weeks after the event is over.

- If you are posting to ao3, please make a separate tumblr post linking to your fic or send it to me via ask so I can post it on this blog.

- Other characters can be involved in works as long as the focus is on Fantine. Romantic, platonic and familial relationships involving Fantine are all acceptable.

- NSFW is accept as long as it is tagged appropriately on both tumblr and ao3 if applicable.

- Sex work is a part of Fantine’s story so it naturally may come up in fic and analysis posts. While terms like “prostitute” and “whore” may be appropriate in canon era fic or when quoting from historical sources, I do ask that in analysis posts the terms “sex work” and “sex worker” be used. Just be mindful that anyone can see your posts and keep it respectful.

I am planning to release a list of completely optional prompts corresponding to each day of Fantine week a bit closer to the time. While I have a few ideas in mind already, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
