Jax nodded, glad the woman at least somewhat understood what he was trying to explain. He gulped when the bugs stood, slightly biting his lip due to anxiety. “That’s absolutely terrifying. Can I ask that you tell them not to do that to me?”

“You’re fine, I don’t have any fire ants here” she chuckled, shaking her head at the others, then looking to the bugs, watching as they all began to relax and go about their business “Though I should probably invest in some if they get that kind of reaction” she added with a small chuckle.

"Thank god." The man muttered as he sighed in relief, watching the bugs and relaxing more himself as they did. "I'm sure anyone would react like that at the threat of being devoured by ants."

“It’s not that I can’t see anything, it’s just the amount of possibilities I’d have to try and see would take a toll on me mentally, and I need my powers to be at peak performance.” He explained, eyeing the bugs as he pondered what the other said. “Hm, I suppose that makes sense.”

“I think I understand?” Caitlyn gave him a disbelieving expression, her head slowly shaking before she then blinked away the thoughts “I can do much more than just talk to them” she then flicked her finger and the bugs all stood to attention, seemingly focused on Jax, almost menacingly. “Did you know that a colony of fire ants can strip the flesh to the bone of a mammal in the matter of minutes?”

“Maybe. I’m pretty sure they’d just shrug it off as a stupid ideal, nothing more.” The man said with a frown, his cheery mood clearly fading. “I never thought of bugs like that. It must be interesting to speak to creatures with such a different perspective.”

“I guess you won’t know until you try, especially if you’re not actually able to see anything future wise, though I’d retest your powers” she said simply “Well, bugs are universal, they are everywhere and have perfected not having to evolve, because they’re fine as they are…Millions of years like this, of course they’d know worldly wonders” she mused, then setting the tarantula down. “So extremely interesting and eye opening indeed.”

He knew he wasn’t much help in the situation, but if he tried to play out every scenario they could take it would take a toll on him. “I know this information is nothing new, but I do have a few ideas. Most of them being unlikely to work, but their ideas at the least. Like tempting the villians to reveal the location.” He spoke, his eyes slightly squinting and cocking his head at the spider. “You can talk to them?”

Caitlyn arched an eyebrow at him. “Well, maybe you should list down some of the ideas? Help out those taking a lead on things?” she offered, before then gently picking up the tarantula as if the creature was a person “I can indeed, they always have a lot to say, they see so much in the world.” she mused, smiling at the spider that twitched it’s front legs.

Jax nodded, knowing most people didn’t find any meaning in his non-sensical ramblings. He was trying to help, it’s just hard to find a for sure answer on what to do when there’s so many possibilities. He looked at the millipede and slightly shivered, not being a fan of bugs. “Sometimes fate has no clear answer or destiny. Perhaps it’s our job to make one.” He spoke with a hopeful smile, trying to think of ways to help find the mayor.

The woman kept an unreadable expression as the man spoke “And that is helpful to us, how? Because at the moment every single one of us could do that, even the newbies trying out…” she said simply, looking to a tarantula that had appeared on her shoulder “My thoughts exactly, Vi” she agreed to what ever the spider had said.

I see no sure answer in the near future, however, so I feel as though it is up to us to choose out destiny for this mission.”

The blonde held out her hand, allowing a rather large millipede to wind through her fingers, her eyes narrowing at him. She hadn’t understood just yet what exactly The Originals were standing for, but she’d read up enough on what it was to be good, to try and make a difference. Perhaps that is what being a so called ‘superhero’ was. The entire concept was so new and raw. “That’s as good as no answer at all…That was what we were already doing” she said simply, finding no help from his words.

“I can assure you, I am a hero…” Caitlyn said simply, even if her gaze was intense and there was something horribly unnerving about her. It didn’t help that she had a couple of centipedes that were crawling out of her shirt collar and shirt sleeves. “So, this whole Mayor deal, how can we solve it?” she said in her unreadable and almost robotic voice. She definitely needed some lessons in just how to warm up and be more…..Human.

Jax's Introduction

JAX NOLAN is a 30 year old GAY, MALE, HE/HIM  that hails from MANCHESTER, UK. In 1985 they are wanting to be known as the hero CAPTAIN FATE with the power of SELF HEALING AND FUTURE VISION. Some people say they look a lot like SEAN MCLOUGHLIN. They are BRAVE but can be NAIVE. They are a looking to change the world and make it a better place!

Jax nodded, he never really shared his secrets with anyone, but he knew that if he did he wouldn’t want them to be shared. “Understandable, I guess. Sibling secrets sound pretty sacred.” He replied, tensing slightly from the physical contact. It still was scary to have any sort of touching, but he had learned to trust Carter enough to not flip him over a table. “Intamacy things? What’s that mean?” He spoke with a smirk, lightly elbowing Carter

Carter rolled his eyes. “Let’s just say my track record when it comes to my dating history is a mixed bag of broken hearts, amicable splits and way too many pop punk songs. And that’s before getting into people I actually dated.” He said with a chuckle. “I’m not good at doing anything more than “friends.”” He added.

Jax tried to keep a straight face, stifling a laugh and rolling his eyes. "Okay, I get it, your edgy, no need to show off how much of a punk heartthrob you've been for the past ten years." He pulled his legs up, sitting with his legs crossed on the counter. "Maybe you just need practice, that aren't one night stands."

Bella was absolutely whaling on a punching bag in the Heroes Union gym. It was specially designed to not break easily, which was good given how strong she was and how much force she was putting behind each swing. When she finally stopped to take a break, she noticed Jax had walked into the gym. “Oh, hey. You gonna do some reps?” she asked before grabbing her water bottle to take a swig.

"Maybe, gotta keep the looks for the guys and the strength for the villians." He replied, setting down his stuff and taking a moment to look around to see what workout he felt like doing. "Are you leaving are taking a break? Because you know I'm always up for some duel training."

Jax tilted his head, ignoring his gut and slightly persisting. He got that sibling stuff was sacred, but it wasn’t like he was gonna tell anyone what he and Carter talked about. “Are you sure? You know you can talk to me, right? I won’t tell Thana anything.”

Carter laid his hand on Jax’s back. “Trust me, you don’t want to get between Jarman Sibling secrets.” He said. It was true. Both Jarmans had enough dirt on the other to fill six tell alls and happenstance for a biography posthumously. “It’s  stuff you don’t wanna hear about either, just Thana having more in common with me when it comes to intimacy things.” He said with a shrug. He took a swig of his soda and then too his hand off of Jax’s back. Carter popped off the counter and stood on the chair to see the iPod. Blank Generation was playing and Carter figured he could leave it for now.

Jax set his soda down, curious as to what Carter was thinking about. “What’d she say, if you don’t mind me asking?” He questioned, not wanting to pry, but not wanting to brush off whatever it was.

Carter furrowed his brow and shook his head. “Nothing important, just sibling stuff. Sibling secrets.” He said covering his tracks. Not a lie, not the whole truth, something Thana had taught him.

Jax tilted his head, ignoring his gut and slightly persisting. He got that sibling stuff was sacred, but it wasn't like he was gonna tell anyone what he and Carter talked about. "Are you sure? You know you can talk to me, right? I won't tell Thana anything."

Jax rolled his eyes, Carter was usually supplied with soda for the event that he made an unplanned visit. “You’re… Not wrong.” The man admitted with a sigh, hopping up on the counter next to Carter. He noticed the sudden drop in tone, he had known Carter long enough to notice when something bothered him. “Why the sudden drop in face, dude? Something botherin’ you?

Carter shook his head and took a sip of soda. “Nah, nothing. Just thinking about something Thana said.” He replied. He thought about a lot of things Thana had said whenever his brain traveled down a path. Just the natural progression of things.

Jax set his soda down, curious as to what Carter was thinking about. "What'd she say, if you don't mind me asking?" He questioned, not wanting to pry, but not wanting to brush off whatever it was.

Jax shrugged, shooting Carter a smile, “Anyone with perfect teeth deserved to be punched.” He spoke with sarcasm, knowing his teeth were far from perfect. “Music taste is something that can redeem a person. If it’s good that is.” The man spoke before cocking an eyebrow, “That’s why I put up with you.” He spoke jokingly before approaching the counter.

Carter laughed and rolled his eyes. “Right, you keep telling yourself that. It’s not that I supply you with free caffeine or anything.” He said. “Yeah, Dec’s sure is a dude.” He mumbled as he sipped his soda. They got along when he was around, but after what Thana had told him the last time he was brought up in conversation, Carter would probably be an unhappy camper when they met up next.

Carter took a sip of his soda and shrugged. “Declan’s a complicated figure in my sister’s life. He’s objectively a good dude, but sometimes you want to punch him in his perfect teeth.” He said. “Damn good music taste though, I’ll give him that.” Carter added. “And same, I think we all would.”
