Alan nodded. “Of course we’re friends, Jax - is it okay if I call you Jax? Anyways, yes, of course we’re friends. Hopefully, for the sake of the Officials, one day we can be more than friends, but currently we are indeed friends.” Alan felt his mouth running again, and quickly shut up, focusing his attention on Sherlock, which was just starting.

Jax smiled at Alan's reply. It made him feel... reassured in some way. He figured he should respond, instead of sitting there looking dumb. "Yes, it's good if you call me Jax. And i'm glad you say we're friends..." He chose to ignore the last part of what Alan has said. He wasn't sure what to say to it anyway. Jaxton was able to keep his attention on Sherlock for about ten minutes before he could feel his eyelids closing.

Alan held out his pinky to the lanky boy, with a smile across his face. “I promise. Whether or not I keep that promise remains to be seen, although I’m usually reliable.” Alan repositioned himself so that he was lying with his head at the foot of his bed, on his stomach, his feet on his pillow. His right hand dangled off the bed and if he moved it slightly he could touch Jaxton’s hair, which looked so damn soft, he wanted to touch it really badly, but he knew that would be weird. Still… he could “accidentally” brush it, right? Nah, that would be awkward. Alan sighed. It was barely audible, but a sigh nonetheless. He wanted things between him and his Match to not be awkward. That would be nice. It didn’t even have to be romantic between them… although he’d like it to be, he wasn’t sure that Jaxton wanted that.

Jaxton looked at the other boy's pinky with mild intrigue. He locked his pinky with the other boy's for a quick second. He hoped Alan was really true to his word. He felt that he could trust him though. Jaxton couldn't help but feel like the air between them had gotten thicker. It seemed like there were unsaid words or actions or something. But then again. he was probably just imagining things as always. He couldn't help but start speaking to fill the silence, even though the TV show would soon begin to play. "We're friends, right? I mean, we're going to be stuck with each other forever so we might as well be friends..." Jaxton wasn't sure where that sentence was going.

No, it was dumb for me. I knew better than to wish on things like that. It works for other people just fine, I’ve seen it before.

They are…I suppose. I don’t know, they just dont interest me as much. When i was younger, I was stupid enough to wish on stars, but it got me now where.

Don't say that was stupid... I covered my entire ceiling in glow-in-the-dark stars just to wish on them every night.
