Since camp is coming to an end, I did a lot of cleaning up to make it easier to move out when the day comes.
Sunday 7/30/17
I got the opportunity to work on the sounds at a church. I helped make sure that the microphone was focused and everything else was align.

Something else we did was to continue to help the kids with their multiplication. Originally they were doing division but we quickly realized that they didn’t have the multiplication down to move to division, so we had to go over it more thoroughly.
The kids got a chance to learn about magnets and their functions and that was pretty interesting.

Summer camp Week One
The first week of camp with the kids was a great opportunity to interact with them and get to know them more. There was lots of different personalities in the camp but personally I was thrilled about it because it had a thurough ballence. On the first day , I mostly helped to organize binders and materials for the kids since the camp focuses mainly on academics. After hrlping with that we did ice breakers with the kids to ensure that they feel comfortable. Later on that week we went on a fieldtrip to a farm and we helped to maintain a lot of the crops. Overall it was a great first week as a counselor.

looking back
-I had to think of ideas to make artwork that is important to me and my culture.
- I made progress In cutting out my stencils.
- I worked on my artist statement for my final art piece.
- I talked to the teacher about my plans for my canvas and I created a drawing so that we could see it visually.
Looking ahead
- I want to get all my canvases done by the end of Monday
-I want to start spray painting since I cut all my stencils out.
- After I spray paint my stencils, I wanna let it dry.
- I want to start hanging up my canvases, for the school to see.
Takeaways
- Work at a fast pace because time is not on your side
- Talk to students and teachers, because they have great ideas that can help you.
- Don’t be afraid to take risks, because you want your artwork to stand out.
- When I spray paint, don’t stand to close because it will look like its smudged on.
- Work more on my artist statement. Make it more detailed so people can understand my artwork more.

Looking back:
-I cut and spray painted my Adidas stencil.
-I made a second version on thicker paper.
Looking Ahead
Looking Ahead
-I want to talk to my teacher about the sketch
-I want to continue producing my canvases
Take Away
- New exact blades alow you to make a more precise stencil’
- I should use thicker-paper because when I spray paint, the edges don’t go off
- I should use the glue spray paint so the actual spray paint will stay on.
-Put my art ideas onto paper so that other people have a better understanding of what I’m doing so that they can farther help me.
