It was a common practice among queer men of the late 80s and early 90s to have keys to each others homes. This was a precaution so that if one of them died of AIDS, friends would come in and remove anything the deceased friend wouldn't want his family to find. If the items weren't donated or kept, they were destroyed.

With the looming presence of AIDS in every corner of early Hellblazer, I don't doubt Ray Monde and John Constantine had difficult conversations and contingencies in place for "if the worst were to happen". Unfortunately for John, being a survivor means carrying the weight of memory.

I hate when a show is so obsessed with a ship and then they introduce a love interest for one of the characters as a delay/distract/drama tactic but the new love interest is actually an awesome character, and you end up shipping the new ship more then the original, but now they've boxed themself into a corner because the new ship has too much chemistry, so they have them get married and have a kid, and you know it can never last because this is a drama and these people can't have nice things, so you're dreading the impending doom for so long, for *so* long that you start to think this is the exception, that you're finally free, then bam, new guy's dead.
