“that’s how special you are to me,” jayden coos, lightly nudging vanessa’s arm with his elbow. “how ‘bout some hot chocolate? with whipped cream on top? i’ve been craving that for ages.” at vanessa’s response, jayden could not help but snort in amusement—he considered himself extremely petty, but it was a comfort to know that there was somebody even pettier out there. “you’re still not over him? you should be, he sounds like a loser.”

jayden had a lot of questions, questions that he wanted vanessa to answer, but that was not the priority right now. jayden complies, taking his hoodie off, as well as his favorite armani jacket of all time and handing them to vanessa with a kind smile. please don’t wet them too much, he thinks to himself, but his face showed no hint of regret or hesitation. “you think they did it on purpose?”
