If you like one of my little au prompts and wanna write your own fic please do! All I ask is that you put a link to your fic in the comments so that I can read it <3 I'll swap all this to a new account for better organization purposes when my life slows down enough to give me time for fully written fics (I'll make it easy to find :3). In the meantime here are some unedited drabbles that either pop in my head or I found in my notes app lol.

JayDick omegaverse au where alpha Jason became downright ridiculously overpowered. Like he was so compatible with the Lazarus pit that his body absorbed and retained it on a cellular level leading to a mutation in his genes and making him a meta (he's got an insane healing factor along with super strength and speed that's similar to but surpasses Deathstroke's). On top of that he was sent to train with the All Caste (Talia sent him there mostly so he could learn how to control the pit rage) where he gained the All Blades and started learning the basics of magic. He trained with more masters than even Bruce (partially bc his training included magic) so he's got a ridiculously overpowered skill set.

Once he's done with his training he goes back to Gotham as the Red Hood and starts his revenge plan. Becoming the ruling Crime Lord was pretty easy so his plan was going smoothly until his first encounter with Batman. Bc of how powerful he's become his fight with Batman feels more like playing around to him than an actual battle. When Jason recognizes Bruce begining to get desperate he disengages bc he has no idea how to process the fact that he apparently outclasses Batman now.

The revelation makes him think about what the hell he's even trying to accomplish by tormenting his former father and he decides that getting revenge on Bruce for not avenging him is pointless. Jason scraps that part of his plans and just kills the Joker himself. He figures he'll just stay away from the bats and protect Gotham his way (he's a crime lord but he's got rules and is using the position to control the drug trade, weapon trafficking, and make things safer for the sex workers).

Meanwhile Bruce is panicking bc he can't find any more useful information on this horribly dangerous new crime lord. With the Red Hood making so many moves and looking like he might branch out into more than just Crime Alley he asks Dick if he can send Tim to stay with him in Bludhaven. Tim adamantly protests and insists on at least getting to stay and search for any information he can on the Batcomputer. As the pack omega Dick can't stand all the tension and decides to just come stay at the manor for awhile (he's not a police officer in this au and gets his money through investments using his trust fund money so that he can focus mostly on Nightwing) so he can help out.

Jason's strategy on dealing with Batman had been just ignoring him and he planned on dealing with the rest of the bats the same way until he crossed paths with Nightwing. Jason thought he was over his infatuation with Dick but as soon as he laid eyes on the omega he was overwhelmed with the desire to care for and protect him.

((basically Jason is a massive simp for Dick and will do literally anything for him. Dick basically gains full control over the human equivalent of a nuclear bomb and villains begin to fear him due to the consequences of even just upsetting him being permeant debilitating injury at the very least))

Sometimes I just really yearn for op Jason. Pretty sure it was like 2:00am when I wrote this so if you see any mistakes no you didn't lol

DickJay alternate universe crossover au where Talon Dick ends up transported to Nightwing Dick and Red Hood Jason's universe and is unable to return to his own (he's much better off in this universe bc in his own the court had gotten to him before Bruce so he has literally nobody he loves or who loves him). He was injured before being transfered and landed in Crime Alley. Jason finds him and patches him up (he doesn't know he's an alternate Dick yet but he does recognize him as clearly an assassin even if he doesn't know he's a Talon specifically) and hands him some protein bars he had on hand before giving him directions to Leslie's clinic and continuing his patrol.

Talon Dick has no memory of being treated and spoken softly (and nonthreateningly) to like that ever in his life and immediately becomes fixated on the man with the red helmet (also Talons from Talon Dick's universe are a bit different. They're biologically and magically modified to have fully retractable wings and claws solely bc I love the idea of Talon Dick having wings lol and the claws just kinda made sense). He ends up following Jason home and basically begins the process of slowly domesticating himself like a feral cat. The Red Hood gaining a guardian bird monster is what alerts the bats to Talon Dick's existence.

DickJay cat hybrid Jason au where Jason was never adopted (I like to think he was successful in stealing Batman's tires bc his cat ears and heightened feline senses allowed him to know when Bruce was coming back lol) so he grew up on the streets until about 17 years old. He would always wear a hoodie to hide his cat ears and he had to shove his tail inside his pants bc hybrids were always in high demand for trafficking rings. He would fully shift into a cat whenever he had enough energy so that he could further avoid capture and sometimes get free food from any animal lovers who pitied the stray kitten. As his years on the street went on he became pretty much feral (he does still remember all the human stuff he learned before his mom died and he can speak and understand English but he's got quite a bit of trauma so he lives mostly like a stray cat).

A little after he turns 17 he's chased by some criminals all the way to Bludhaven. They corner him in an alley and he thinks that this is it for him when Nightwing swoops in and beats up all the men who'd been chasing him. After he's done tying up the criminals Dick goes to try and comfort the civilian he just saved only to come face to face with the cutest person he's ever seen in his life. At that point Jason's hood had fallen so the kitty ears are totally out and his tail also ended up free and wrapped around his stomach and up to his neck for comfort. Jason's still terrified bc this man is clearly a vigilante but he's never known any adult human man that wouldn't wanna make a quick buck off of selling him. He lets out an involuntary and mournful sounding mewl before starting to whimper and cry. Dick's heart absolutely shatters seeing that the boy is still so afraid and moves to sit in front of him and reassure him that he won't hurt him. Jason doesn't believe the man when he says he won't hurt him but he's so exhausted from the chase and not having eaten for days that he just resigns himself to his fate and ends up passing out. Dick freaks out bc hospitals and most other official places he would usually turn to don't really take in hybrids in Bludhaven so he makes up his mind and brings the boy back to his own apartment and calls Alfred.

Bruce and Alfred both rush over with a bunch of medical supplies since they don't know what they're dealing with. Jason's still out cold while Alfred gives him an examination. He comes to the conclusion that he's severely malnourished and dehydrated and likely fainted bc of those combined with extreme exhaustion. He suggests they give him a bath to remove all the filth from the streets before he cleans and dresses the small wounds he found. Dick and Bruce get to work bathing the boy while Alfred sets up iv fluids and everything else he'll need to treat him. They find out that Jason is one of the extremely rare intersex hybrids and Dick feels sick at the thought of what would've happened to him if he didn't save him (there's nothing even remotely sexual going on here but it's relevant bc this is when Dick starts feeling responsible for Jason and wanting to protect him personally so that his fears don't become Jason's reality). They dry him off and dress him in some of Dick's most comfortable clothes (Dick even cuts a hole in the sweatpants for Jason's tail bc he's a softy lol) before hooking him him to the iv. Alfred decides to give him some antibiotics along with the fluids just to be on the safe side after seeing a wound on his leg that looked like it had the beginnings of an infection.

They get him all patched up and Alfred goes to the store (Dick receives a disappointed head shake from Alfred when he finds out that cereal is pretty much the only thing in the kitchen) so that he can do some meal prep for the boy and his hopeless grandson. Bruce and Alfred head back to the manor after everything's sorted and Dick goes to sleep since he knows he'll need energy to take care of and comfort the boy passed out on his bed.

(Jason might end up becoming the vigilante Nightclaw or Nightfang with Dick)

JayDick always female Dick au where Rachel 'Dixie' Grayson is very much so mommy and Jason can and will do literally anything she asks of him. Jason as Robin had always yearned for Dixie's affection more than anything (at first it was just bc he was seeking out any sort of maternal adjacent bond he could get and later evolved into a crush). Robin Jason was an absolute menace to everyone except for Dixie (and Alfred) who he would joke and play around with but was mostly just super sweet to (he behaved much more obediently when out with Nightwing than with Batman lol).

After his violent death and resurrection and Jason was convinced his family replaced him and never truely loved him he was devastated and went on to plan his revenge as the Red Hood. Everything was going according to plan once he got back to Gotham and started making moves as it's new crime lord until he saw Nightwing again. He thought his feelings for her had died with him but apparently they got resurrected right alongside him so he decided he'd just have to stay as far away from her as possible.

That plan failed spectacularly when he saw Dixie in the process of being captured by some Black Mask goons after getting injured protecting Tim. Everything went green and the next thing he knew the goons were splattered across the pavement (but still alive bc he knew killing them would make Dixie uncomfortable which his subconscious deemed unacceptable) and he was on a rooftop with Dixie cradled safely in his arms.

Meanwhile Dixie was wildly confused bc the man holding her was clearly the new crime lord that had recently shot up on Bruce's list of most dangerous rogues but he'd also just completely wiped out the goons trying to capture her and was now holding her so gently it felt like she was the most precious thing he'd ever come across in his life. While her brain was still buffering the man sat down and held her in his lap before barking at Robin (holy shit how did she forget about Tim!) to call the Batmobile to come pick her up since she was injured. Tim was clearly confused as well but did as told while the Red Hood began taking out emergency medical supplies (where the hell did they even come from? Did he have some sort of magical utility belt like Bruce??) and doing what he could to stop the bleeding from the cuts and stab wound she'd gotten in the fight.

Once her brain came back online she thanked him for the help and tried to subtly pry for information on why he was here in the first place. It didn't work bc as soon as Hood heard the engine of the Batmobile he scooped her back up and carried her to it while giving Robin strict instructions to not let her do anything but rest until she was fully healed. Tim was nodding seriously so she tried to protest but Hood only scoffed before launching into the guilt trip of the century saying that the whole situation had clearly scared Robin and he might get so caught up worrying about her that it distracted him on patrol and led to him getting hurt too. Tim nodded along enthusiastically while the Red Hood made sure she was comfortable in the back of the Batmobile (she's so glad it has a self driving feature bc she does not enjoy driving with an injured ankle). She was so dumfounded by the entire situation that she couldn't couldn't find the right words until she was back in the batcave with Bruce and Alfred helping her to the med bay...what the fuck???

Back in his safehouse Jason faceplanted on his bed and screamed into his pillow bc he definitely just fucked up his entire plan pulling that rescue stunt on Dixie.

After reviewing both her and Tim's domino footage more times she could count throughout her recovery she and Bruce still couldn't figure out why the Red Hood acted the way did. Bruce had tried approaching him as Batman only to get shot at until he left Crime Alley. Tim's attempt at approaching him as Robin didn't go much better since Hood promptly grabbed him by the scruff of his suit and tossed him at Batman waiting on the edge of the Alley. He then yelled at Batman for letting a child go into Crime Alley alone and gave him a countdown 10 seconds before he'd start shooting. They'd collectively agreed it would be best to wait for Dixie's recovery before trying to deal with Red Hood again.

Jason thought he'd finally shaken off the bats after another couple weeks without running into them until Nightwing cornered him on a rooftop. He tried to run away but immediately froze when he heard Dixie yell for him to stop. They were both quiet for a second (Dixie definitely hadn't expected him to actually listen to her) before Dixie stepped in front of him and firmly told him to stay so they could talk. Jason hunched in on himself a bit and started fidgeting but ultimately nodded. Dixie was absolutely stunned and confused bc the man in front of her looked like a giant puppy being scolded for misbehaving which did not match up with what she'd seen in the files of the Red Hood on the batcomputer.

She took a deep breath to gather herself before she started asking questions. The man clearly didn't want to answer any of them and tried to turn away but he turned back and seemed to shrink in on himself even further when she let out a frustrated sigh. It was kind of heartbreaking to watch so she decided to cut to the chase and asked him to take off the helmet bc he clearly knew her and she didn't appreciate not knowing him in return. To her surprise he let out what she could only describe as a whine before saying he didn't want to bc he knew she'd hate him and he didn't wanna see that on her face when she found out who he was (Jason was definitely screaming at himself in his head to stop bc this was embarrassing and he was supposed to be over his massive crush on Dixie but it's hard to fight instinct and his instincts are to do whatever Dixie wants lmao).

They went back and forth a bit but eventually Jason gave in and took the helmet off. He still had a domino on and refused to look at her head on but even after all this time there was no way Dixie wouldn't recognize her Little Wing. She let out a sob and dropped to her knees bc her Little Wing was dead so there was no way this could be him but Jason dropped to his knees too and immediately started asking if she was hurt and it was just so familiar that she couldn't help but hope that he'd somehow come back to her. After a very emotional crying session along with a trip to the batcave for a dna test to ensure it really was him and Dixie had her Little Wing back (she will absolutely not be letting him go ever again).

Things were a bit rocky at first since Jason had been manipulated into believing they didn't care about him (Dixie was furious about this and everything else she heard about his time in the league) but Dixie gave him her side of things and how truly devastating his death was to her (Jason cried when she told him she didn't go to his funeral bc Bruce hadn't told her he'd died which then led to Dixie yelling at Bruce for that particular fuck up again since it was such a big reason why her Little Wing hadn't come home). Jason stayed pretty much glued to Dixie's side and she took full advantage of it to get all the cuddles from her Little Wing.

After such an emotionally charged experience Dixie ended up falling asleep on the couch cuddled up to Jason so he carried her up to her bed so she wouldn't wake up sore. Jason figured it would be impolite to just hop in her bed without permission so be decided to just sit outside her door until she woke up. That was fine until Dixie actually woke up to find herself without her Little Wing and had a full blown panic attack. Jason obviously rushed in as soon as he heard her scream and she tackled him as soon as she saw him. As soon as she was done crying she told him quite sternly that they would be sleeping together from now on and he wasn't allowed to go anywhere without her unless he told her beforehand and had at least one tracking device on him bc she simply couldn't handle losing him again. Jason agreed easily since he didn't wanna leave Dixie anyways.

The Red Hood essentially became Nightwing's bodyguard and most Gotham and Bludhaven criminals learned quickly that hurting Nightwing was essentially the same as signing a death warrent for their kneecaps.

Despite the codependency they weren't in a romantic relationship yet. Jason was fine with this bc he got to live with Dixie and that was already more than he ever thought possible. Dating hadn't even crossed Dixie's mind until one day when she and Jason were at a coffee shop. She had been tired so she went ahead to sit at a table while Jason waited for their order. It hadn't even been 5 minutes before some girl walked up to her Little Wing and started flirting with him. Jason didn't seem interested but he was polite to her and Dixie realized that other women trying to get with Jason was completely and utterly unacceptable.

She marched right up to them and interrupted the girl speaking by draping herself over Jason while sighing dramatically and asking if their order was ready yet. Jason immediately forgot about the other woman and focused all of his attention on Dixie and telling her he was sorry but they hadn't called for him yet so she'd have to wait a bit longer. He actually looked a bit distressed that he couldn't get her drink for her faster so she felt kinda bad but it gave her the chance she needed to glare at the girl so she'd leave.

When they got back to their apartment Dixie plopped into Jason's lap and grabbed his face so she could tell him in no uncertain terms that he was banned from dating other women. Jason was confused since he'd never tried or even mentioned the topic but agreed nonetheless. His easy compliance was actually a bit concerning since Dixie knew it was an unreasonable demand but she figured she could make up for it by becoming his girlfriend herself. At first he didn't believe her bc Jason didn't think she'd ever date someone like him but after realizing she was actually serious he looked at Dixie like she had given him the most precious gift to ever exist.

They mellow out a bit the longer they're together but still stay one of the clingiest couples ever lol (and Dixie also learns about Jason's ultimate desire for her to praise and call him a good boy which she obviously takes full advantage of to spoil him (Dixie is a natural femdom and slips into the mommy role with ease I don't make the rules) and they both learn that the Lazarus Pit not only gave Jason higher stamina but also a shorter refractory period so they definitely take full advantage of that too)

It's fascinating going back to reread the rambling fic drabbles I wrote at 4:00am on no sleep. You can tell what kind of mood I was in and pretty much see the gradual process of me falling asleep lol. I don't always like gender benders but when the mood strikes it strikes hard

HEAR ME OUT!!!! JayDick or DickJay Pokemon au!!! We neeeeeed some fics with Pokemon trainer batfam. Both canon compliant and more Pokemon universe focused work. Some fics you get batfam and their Pokemon doing their canon vigilante action and some fics you get civilian Pokemon trainer batfam. And there's soooo many different Pokemon to pair up with the batfam depending on the vibe of the fic. The more canon compliant ones that are more action focused would mean stronger Pokemon that are more on theme with the vigilante personas (maybe even adding in some legendaries). A more Pokemon focused au with no super heroes would give a bit more creative freedom with the teams (in my opinion at least lol) and career paths (and also how Dick and Jason meet).

JayDick omegaverse au where Damian gets mad at Bruce and yells that he can't tell him what to do bc he's not his father (https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8gDnKCR/). This naturally leads to the batfam trying to hunt Jason down to bring him home and back to the pack. It's a real pain in the ass for Jason but after all the time he spent caring for Damian in the league he actually does kinda view Damian as his own pup and naturally acts as his alpha so it doesn't even occur to him to not go along with his pup's scheme. Throughout the chase there are several ~charged~ moments between Nightwing and Red Hood so omega Dick starts catching feelings for Jason and panics about it. After he comes to terms with the fact that the attraction isn't going away and he wants Jason as his alpha Dick spirals a bit again bc the bats are still under the assumption that Jason is Damian's father which means he's clearly in a relationship with Talia (not even remotely true and Talia very much so sees Jason as her son). He sulks about it for a bit until his inner menace surfaces and Dick decides he needs Jason to be his alpha so he'll just have to seduce him and steal him away from Talia. Dick's seduction strategy is incredibly effective at luring Jason in (the rest of the bats are exasperated bc wow all that chasing they've done amounted to nothing but the second Dick starts flirting their wayward alpha ceases all resistance and is drawn to the omega like he's been put in a trance) and it doesn't take long for him to successfully catch his alpha. Now that he has Jason securely back in the pack Dick starts plotting how to steal him away from Talia and convince him to be his mate when Jason and Damian shock them all by revealing that Bruce is in fact Damian's biological father (Damian admits the only reason he came up with the lie was bc Bruce pissed him off and he knew Jason would back him up while Jason admits he found the entire thing hilarious and that's why he went along with it but it's pretty obvious that he does treasure the pup and likely would've indulged him regardless). Dick is very pleased when he gets that mate bite

JayDick omegaverse au where omega Dick deliberately lets himself go into heat after a mission with alpha Jason (he's got a truce with the bats but he's most certainly not in the family bc of his shitty relationship with Bruce) with the intention of baby trapping him. He wants his Little Wing back so desperately and he's tried bridging the gap between them but it's not working enough and he's spiraling. He feels awful about actually baby trapping Jason (especially since he knows it'll work since Jason would never want his pup to have to go through anything like what he did as a child) but he's so desperate he goes through with it anyway.

Jason figures it out during the heat and plot twist he's totally into it (the thought that the original boy wonder is doing this to keep him is about a power trip and a half) but he also refuses to be taken advantage of so he gives Dick a mate bite so that he's trapped too. It caught Dick off guard but to the surprise of absolutely no one he's also extremely into it. This may sound super toxic but shh no it's not bc ~fiction~ and they're both 100% on board with this.

I've finally started working on the rest of my super Jason drabble but I keep getting sidetracked and this was sitting in my notes anyway so I'm posting this in the meantime lol (tho now that I'm looking at it this doesn't really seem finished either...ugh yet another thing to potentially revisit). Also I'm like 95% sure this was massively inspired by a fic on ao3 so if I can find it again I'll link it here

JayDick every bat boy needs a super au where Jason is actually secretly part Kryptonian but they never knew bc those genes were dormant due to malnutrition and lacking sun exposure during his childhood (Clark somehow had an accidental one night stand or something with Jason's bio mom who then got pregnant by Willis Todd but Clark's DNA had somehow made it in too. So Jason basically has 3 biological parents ~fictional biology~ don't question it). Getting dunked in the Lazarus Pit not only healed him but also woke up his dormant Kryptonian genes and ended up actually enhancing them pretty significantly (in terms of Kryptonian-ness he's effectively like 3/4 Kryptonian as opposed to Kon and Jon's 1/2. This is mostly bc there's a scene in my head that requires Jason to be more Kryptonian than Kon and Jon who are just kinda like wtf this is bullshit and it makes me laugh).

After the fresh out of Lazarus Pit rage he had where he killed so many elite assassins with his knew super strength and stuff (he gets most of Superman's main powers and stuff just maybe a bit less potent or something) Talia is like oh shit we can't be doing this. She gives him a bracelet with a small bit of kryptonite embedded in it and tells him to never take it off bc it'll help him control the pit rage (she's not fully lying bc the new powers and stuff definitely make controlling the pit rage harder and she doesn't want to tell him that he's clearly part Kryptonian since it would most likely confuse him on his own identity even more than he already is). The bracelet doesn't hurt him bc the combination of his human and Lazarus Pit immunity to kryptonite make him significantly less vulnerable to it (kryptonite does still work on him but it has to be a much larger quantity and of higher purity to cause actual harm to him rather than just dampening his powers). Even with the bracelet Jason is still a fair bit faster, stronger, and more durable than a baseline human but he attributes that to the pit.

His return to Gotham happens pretty similarly to canon but Talia took on a motherly role towards him rather than manipulating him so he's a lot less driven by revenge on the bats in favor of protecting Gotham his way (as a crimelord/vigilante/antihero hybrid but still). He finds out that Nightwing beat the Joker to death but Batman revived him so his opinion of Bruce plummets even further than before while his opinion on Dick soared (realistically he already had a high opinion of Dick and also a massive rush on him that didn't go away even after death but he doesn't like confronting his feelings so he ignored that). The Red Hood is noticably more hostile towards Batman but more friendly towards Nightwing (he doesn't really have much he feels about Tim as Robin. He's still hurt bc he feels like he was so easily replaced but he doesn't have that misplaced hatred on a kid he doesn't even know. He will rescue or defend Robin in his territory bc Tim is a kid and he has a no harming kids rule) which definitely throw the bats for a loop but they learn to let Dick handle the trigger happy crimelord.

Eventually the whole Jason is the Red Hood reveal happens after Damian comes to Gotham (bc he keeps demanding to see 'Akhi' and sneaks out of the manor to go find Jason in Crime Alley. Bruce about has a heart attack when he realizes his newfound son was missing and later found being held by and clinging to the Red Hood) and it's emotional and stuff but Jason does end up deciding to have a truce with the bats (he's not quite willing to be family yet but he'll get there). Everything is pretty chill for awhile (Dick has been trying desperately to reconnect with his Little Wing and bring him but to the family but he's only found success with one of those) until most of the bats and Jason are called into Metropolis to help with some massive alien invasion or something and Jason's bracelet somehow gets broken.

Jason gets a completely unexpected surge of super powers and wildly unsubtle enhancement of his senses (Talia totally forgot to tell him about the whole being part Kryptonian thing bc she was a bit busy worrying about how to get her sons safely out of the league without alerting her father). Thankfully the fight was almost over when it happened but there was still a good bit of unexpected property damage and accidentally turning aliens into a pile of mush with super powered punches. The brand new super senses were quickly getting overwhelming and Jason was definitely about to start freaking out before he subconsciously zoned in on Dick's heartbeat which calmed him down immediately.

Unfortunately he zoned into Dick so hard that he basically went into a trance and latched onto him. This was a pretty big surprise to the others for multiple reasons. For one thing Jason had almost been on the complete opposite side of the battlefield from Dick so him basically materializing out of nowhere and locking Dick in his arms with an iron grip was about a jumpscare and a half. Another thing was that he started growling at anyone getting too close to him and Dick (Kryptonians are naturally a bit more feral/beast coded in this au but I'll expand on that later). When Jason started floating him and Dick up away from the others the situation was no longer something that could be ignored. The batfam is making a bit of a scene trying to get Jason to bring him and Dick back to the ground which catches the attention of Superman. He goes over to help and is shocked when he sees a very clearly Kryptonian Red Hood.

Back at the manor the batfam are questioning the supers while Jason still refuses to let go of Dick. Superman starts explaining that Jason is definitely Kryptonian bc they all have an innate ability to recognize their own kind and his behavior is also very familiar. Bruce is entirely unimpressed with the vague explanation and demands that Clark elaborate. Clark, Kon, and Jon all look similarly sheepish while Clark explains that Kryptonians are prone to bouts of borderline ferality during particularly stressful situations or overstimulation from their super senses and they tend to latch on to and become extremely possessive of people they see as theirs.

All the supers suddenly seem to be having trouble holding eye contact with the bats. Bruce squints as he recalls all the times he's had to deal with a hovering and overly touchy Superman after certain Justice League missions. Tim facepalms while he remembers all the times Kon has irritated him by hovering a bit too insistently and initiating excessively prolonged contact after some of the more difficult Titans missions. Damian lets out an exasperated sigh while having flashbacks of all the times Jon has followed him around like a lost puppy and not so subtly pressing against him after close calls or particularly draining battles. The supers collectively blush in embarrassment seeing their respective bats connect the dots.

Dick is amused watching it all but gets serious again as he feels Jason try to slowly float them away again. Bruce refocuses on the matter at hand (he's definitely grilling Clark for more answers later bc since when did Superman start seeing Batman as his??? Yeah they'll definitely be discussing that later especially bc Clark has a wife. Meanwhile Clark tends to act the same way with Lois so she'll have a good laugh and then bond with Bruce over having to deal with a territorial Superman lol). He questions Clark on how they can get Jason back to normal and Clark reveals that the best way would be to have Dick engage with him and ask Jason questions to help ground him. It works and once he's back to normal Jason is absolutely baffled by everything and also completely mortified when he realizes the implications of him latching on to Dick.

I'm not done writing out all my thoughts on this one (and there are still very important scenes that must be documented) but I'm gonna go ahead and post what I have so far bc I reeeeally like the idea of a fic like this. I'm not really even sure why I love the idea of suddenly Kryptonian Jason so much but like hey Dick totally needs his own super (he finds it quite unfair that Bruce has Clark, Tim has Kon, and Damian has Jon while he has none. Justice for Dickie!) and I love JayDick so here we are. Also if autocorrect decided to become my enemy and change any of my words to weird typos no it didn't... ʘ_ʘ

Hear me out y'all. I don't really have a fic idea for this yet but I read yet another one of those bunny Jason and wolf Dick fics and came to the realization that we're not doing it right. Why are we not having Dick call Jason his Little Lop????? So many fics even describe Jason's ears as lop ears already! Little Bun also sounds cute (tho I do have a soft spot for Little Lop). Really we need more cute thematic variations of Little Wing (oh my god Little Fang could also be used in several situations too ugh I love cute nicknames) in general. This is missed opportunity and I couldn't sleep with getting it out there. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk

DickJay (potentially omegaverse) au where Dick goes slightly insane after learning that Jason is alive and the Red Hood. He's absolutely overjoyed that his Little Wing is alive and wants nothing more than to cuddle him for like 72 hours straight at least. His cuddle plans are thwarted by Jason being so hostile towards him and acting like he's actually kinda scared of him (this all is happening post batarang incident so Jason rightfully doesn't trust anything bat related). Jason yells at him that he's not falling for his tricks and he won't let himself be caught off guard for Bruce to capture and send to Arkham. Dick is confused bc that's the last thing he wants. He just wants time with his Little Wing and to keep him nice and safe. Jason running off is when the first crack in Dick's sanity forms.

He goes to Bruce and starts yelling at him demanding to know why Jason assumes they're trying to send him to Arkham. Bruce is still in his shitty denial stage so he says that they're absolutely sending Jason to Arkham bc he's out there killing people which means he's not really their Jason or that he's been tainted and thus needs to be contained. That's when the second crack in Dick's sanity forms and he all but explodes on Bruce with such rage that it genuinely rattles everyone witnessing it. Tim's breath hitching is what allowed Dick to regain control of himself (also Jason didn't attack Tim in Titan's Tower here bc I want him to still have some intense hero worship going on towards Jason and that's just easier if he didn't almost kill him lol). Dick avoids Bruce like the plague and becomes increasingly more desperate to find Jason and talk to him for real.

Jason notices and eventually does allow Dick to speak to him. They each share their own sides of Jason's death and the aftermath which helps bridge the gap between them. Naturally Bruce had been stalking Dick from afar to see if Nightwing could really get in touch with the Red Hood. Just as everything was going great Batman drops in to ruin the moment. Jason thinks Dick really did betray him until Bruce starts lecturing Nightwing about how Red Hood can't be allowed to roam free if he's killing and Dick responds by yelling at him to fuck off.

Jason ends up yelling that Batman has a lot of nerve coming at him for killing when he threw a batarang at his neck and left him for dead. He shows the scar for emphasis which resulted in the final crack in Dick's sanity forming. He goes entirely blank and asks Bruce if he really did that to his Little Wing. Bruce tries making excuses but seeing that he can't actually deny it Dick snaps and lunges at him with his escrima out and electrified. Bruce was stunned by the fact that Dick was attacking him and lost his chance to really gain his footing in the fight making it almost a one sided beat down. Jason is downright flabbergasted by what he's witnessing and stays rooted to the spot until the new Robin shows up to try and deescalate the fight. The kid looks tiny and terrified so Jason takes pity on him starts coaxing Dick to calm down (even tho it's incredibly satisfying watching Nightwing beat the shit out of Batman for him). Tim helps Bruce get to the batmobile so they can go back to the cave and treat his wounds (Batman will definitely be out of commission for a little while but it does give Bruce time for some much needed self reflection). Dick still isn't fully back to himself and just clings protectively to Jason so Jason brings him along back to his safehouse.

((More will happen but eventually Bruce gets his head out of his ass and Jason reintegrates into the batfam. Dick never loses his borderline insane need to protect Jason. He goes way overboard beating the shit out of anyone who hurts his Little Wing. Dick kills the Joker when he tries to get his revenge on Jason which causes a bit of a mess but is what (eventually) ends up getting through to Bruce and gets Jason back in the family. Dick gets slightly less brutal after the clown dies but that only really means he doesn't hunt down every criminal who so much as caused Jason even a minor injury. He very much so still hunts down and batters anyone who causes Jason any real pain (watch out black mask). Dick also ends up leaving Bludhaven to the Titans mostly since he's got massive separation anxiety and can't be far from Jason for extended periods of time without starting to freak out))

Found this one in my notes and I'm pretty sure it's more recent but I can't for the life of me remember when I wrote it other than that it had to be something my 3:00am brain came up with lol. I feel like Dick should sometimes be allowed to go a little insane what with all the bullshit he has to deal with bc of Bruce's dramatic ass. As a treat. Anyways you can tell I got lazy at the end (I have a sneaking suspicion I was actually falling asleep) but I got the important stuff down and that's what really counts. It's almost 4:00am for me now (why do I operate at such abominable hours) so if I left in any typos or failed to correct any autocorrect sabotage just pretend I didn't and you saw nothing lmao

DickJay alternate universe crossover au where eldritch horror Dick (can shapeshift but is mostly a gigantic deepsea nightmare merman beast that's somehow still ridiculously handsome despite being terrifying) gets summoned by a wannabe villain who wants to use 'evil Nightwing' (that's what he thought he was summoning) to start taking over the world or something (the summoning happened in like California or somewhere else with massive ocean access). Eldritch horror Dick doesn't listen to a thing wannabe villain says and starts wreaking havoc bc he was just ripped away from his Little Fin (eldritch horror Jason obviously) and he's pissed. Naturally this becomes a Justice League level threat so they go after this new alien only for Batman to take one look at it and be like wait a minute that's my son. After witnessing Superman get smacked out of the air by a furious monster Nightwing the JLA members present collectively agree that calling in their Nightwing for potential peace negations sounds like a much better plan and fighting should really be their last resort.

Dick was hanging at the manor with Jason and Tim (rare bonding time with two of his robins!) when he got the call so Nightwing arrived at the scene with Red Hood and Red Robin tagging along (they used zeta tubes for quick transport). Dick took one look at the absolutely massive and frankly downright terrifying alternate version of himself and thought this was gonna be a nightmare (Jason and Tim were having similar thoughts). Dick called out to his alternate self in hopes they could start negotiating and the creature looked over and froze.

Eldritch horror Dick had spotted Jason and immediately sped over and scooped him up. Everyone started panicking only to be stunned by the rumbling purr the creature started up as he began rubbing his face against Jason (it may not have been his Jason but eldritch horror Dick recognized him as an alternate version of his Jason so he would obviously need to love and dote on this one until he could get back to his own).

((at some point creature Dick shrinks himself to a still pretty damn big but much more manageable size and wraps himself around Jason like a particularly possessive snake. Creature Dick also effectively makes out with Jason to gain the ability to understand and replicate English since he needed bodily fluid to do it and the kiss was the most efficient way aside from blood which was never an option bc he could never hurt any version of his Little Fin))

So that ending part is gonna be looked at again later but post sickness brain fog is still hanging on to me like a parasite ugh. I still haven't fully kicked this stupid cough and my energy levels are pretty much nonexistent so I haven't really felt up to much but I may as well post this even tho I'm not finished with it (not that any of my posts are finished works but there's just too much going on in my life rn for me to write out a full fic the way I want to). Anyways I'll get back to this when I have more than 2 functioning braincells to rub together lmao

It's similar to some of my other stuff but I mean what can I say I'm a sucker for Jason being a badass omega who won't take shit from any alpha but turns into a puddle of needy omega wanting to please his alpha in front of Dick (I'm also a fan of the inverse with Dick as the omega and Jason as the alpha but I'm on a subby Jason streak rn so here we are). Anyway here's my ramblings <3

Jason is an almost completely feral omega when he comes back to Gotham as the Red Hood (doesn't try to hide that he's an omega) and builds a reputation on being completely immune to any sort of alpha intimidation. Even Batman couldn't subdue him and was all but mauled after encountering him. Bruce calls Dick in for help bc Hood is so violent he's shot up to the top of Batman's priority list.

They go out to take on the Red Hood and are shocked when the omega becomes completely docile in Nightwing's presence. Jason snaps out of his submissive haze when Batman gets too close and hits him with a mean right hook before running away. Dick is too stunned to react quickly enough to chase after him and Bruce is still recovering from the punch. They're not entirely sure what happened but they decide that Dick needs to be the one to handle Red Hood now. Nightwing has several more encounters with Hood and each time he's met with complete submission. Hood only startles back to awareness when Dick pries into his identity too much but he never attacks Nightwing. He simply runs away instead so Dick figures the long play is the way to go.

Eventually Jason is so deep in his submissive omega headspace that he listens and takes his helmet off when Dick asks. He may still have a domino on but there's no way in hell Dick would ever fail to recognize his Little Wing. Dick's shock serves to snap Jason out of his haze again and he immediately starts to panic and tries to run but the alpha pins him down and starts snarling. That launches Jason right back into that instinctive submission giving Dick the opportunity really take in his scent (scent can't be 100% replicated by any form of science or magic so a thorough scenting is the best way to recognize someone). Once he's certain that it really is his Little Wing he has pinned down something in Dick snaps (it's his carefully controlled alpha that's nightmarishly territorial with a possessive streak larger than the damn sun). He pretty much loses himself to his instincts and all but drags Jason to the nearest safehouse. Once they get there Dick dens down hard and cuts all contact with the other bats (his alpha insisting he has his omega all to himself).

Naturally Bruce is alarmed by being shut out so suddenly. He has Oracle check to see if she can find anything and she tracks Dick to the safehouse (she was able to follow him and the Red Hood on security cams but couldn't see Hood's face so they still have no idea it's Jason). While that was all happening Dick successfully got him and Jason both out of their suits down to just their boxers and into bed with a plethora of nesting materials. Jason immediately builds them a nest and is rewarded with such a thorough scenting session it knocks him out (they haven't fucked yet but being drowned in so much protective and possessive alpha pheromones blissed him out so much he got pheromone drunk and blacked out). That's when Bruce makes the mistake of trying to enter the safehouse to check on Dick. Dick's alpha is still in controll and with his higher brain function currently offline he can only see Bruce as an intruder invading his den to try and steal his omega.

Jason is still knocked out and Dick's scent is dominating the area so Bruce still has no idea who the Red Hood is and tries to coax Dick to come with him. Dick doesn't respond well and switches from snarling threateningly to physically fighting Bruce out of his den. Bruce recognizes that getting Dick to go with him willingly is a lost cause and retreats in favor of coming back with reinforcements. The confrontation left Dick's alpha rattled and has him biting down on Jason's neck in a claim (a claim is different than a mate bite. Claims can fade if they're not maintained but do still symbolize a sort of ownership. Alphas typically claim pack members and pups to show that they're protected. Alphas claim potential mates to ward off competition. Dick's claim on Jason is an example of both).

This is another thing I'll probably come back to eventually but I'm still sick and trying to fight off pneumonia after being bedridden for so long ugh so I don't feel like doing any active writing. As always tho feel free to use this prompt if you wanna write your own fic! I never care about being credited or anything I just wanna be able to read the fic lol

DickJay omegaverse au where alpha Dick kills the Joker after returning home from his space mission and finding out that he killed Jason. Dick also gets into a vicious fight with Bruce bc he's pissed that Jason's funeral was held without him and Bruce is pissed that Dick killed someone (this pisses off Dick even more bc Bruce himself should've already killed the Joker for murdering his pup and the Joker could hardly be considered a person anyway since he was more of a monster than a human). Dick stayed away from Gotham for while but did start coming back more after Tim came along bc he no longer trusted Bruce to keep his Robin safe.

Meanwhile Jason was with Talia in the League of Assassins. After exhausting all other options she could think of to bring Jason's mind back from his catatonic state she dunks him in the Lazarus Pit. Talia came to love Jason as her own pup during the time he spent relying solely on her while catatonic so she doesn't try to manipulate him at all. She gives him all the information on his family he asks for and helps him through the pit rage triggered by the betrayal he feels towards Bruce for not doing anything to avenge him and replacing him with a new Robin so quickly after his death. He's soothed by the fact that Dick took revenge on the Joker for him and feels the spark of the crush he's had on the first Robin since before Jason had even taken on the mantle grows into the infatuation an omega feels towards their chosen alpha. Jason realizes that he'll only ever recognize Dick as his alpha after being thrown into his presentation heat from reading the article written about Nightwing killing the Joker.

Jason's new instincts as a mature omega demand that he takes care of and pleases his chosen alpha so he decides to become ShadowWing (or maybe Shadewing bc I hate the double w but shadow is really necessary for specific scenes ugh) and use his assassin training to essentially become a little ninja that helps Nightwing from the shadows (Jason isn't an absolute tank in this au bc I feel like having a slightly smaller/leaner frame fits the omega ninja aesthetic I'm kinda going for here. There isn't a massive size difference between him and Dick but alpha genes make Dick taller than he is in canon so the size difference they do have does come mostly from the bit of height and bulk Dick has over Jason as an alpha).

His ShadowWing suit mostly mirrors the Nightwing suit except for a few extra additions and a much darker blue than Dick's electric blue. Jason's suit includes a hood that can connect to a muzzle adjacent face mask that serves the purpose of filtering and protecting him from gases and distorting his voice (he doesn't really plan on revealing his identity bc he assumes Dick wouldn't want him as a mate and he'd rather be able to stay by Dick's side even if it can't be the way he wants. Spoiler Dick absolutely wants Jason as his mate and is absolutely furious when he finds out that his Little Wing was so close this whole time and didn't tell him...Jason has to work real hard and be real good to soothe his angry alpha), a domino mask, thigh holsters for his guns and knives (he tries not to use his guns too much bc he figures Dick wouldn't necessarily approve and the whole point is mostly to help Dick stealthily anyways), a tactical belt, and a collar to protect his mating gland. Jason will use pretty much any weapon and often carries around a frankly absurb variety (where does he even keep them all???) but he does try to stick mostly with escrima sticks modeled after Nightwing's (again bc he feels like Dick would approve of them and he wants to please his alpha but the escrima along with the suit do cause a bit of a misunderstanding for Dick when he first finds out about the appearance of ShadowWing. He definitely thinks he's being challenged until he meets the new vigilante and is baffled when ShadowWing acts more like he's Nightwing's sidekick than his competition).

Jason is Hispanic in this au and has definitely been influenced by Talia particularly in the way she speaks to or about her loved ones. He says a lot of his endearments in Spanish (sorry to any Spanish speakers if any of what I write is incorrect I'm relying solely on Google Translate) and has taken to calling Dick 'mi amada noche' (my beloved night) after hearing Talia refer to Bruce as her beloved so much. Jason being the drama queen lit nerd that he is decided on the name ShadowWing bc he felt it was symbolic in many ways. It showed how he was going to be Nightwing's support from the shadows but also how he thrives next to Nightwing like a shadow thrives in the night. This is why his favorite term of endearment for Dick is mi amada noche rather than just mi amor or even mi amado (he does still use things like those he just prefers adding noche bc he's sappy lol).

Jason starts out doing his work as ShadowWing by figuring out what cases Dick is working on (both as Nightwing and Officer Grayson) so that he can monitor them as best he can while looking for anything else that may have slipped under the radar (Talia gave him more funds than he could possibly need so Jason doesn't have to worry about a day job and can focus on helping Dick as much as possible without sacrificing his own wellbeing). He'd stop crimes happening in front of him but with things like big gang operations he'd mostly just gather as much intel as he could and organize it before wrapping it all up securely and dropping it off in safe places along Nightwing's patrol route (he included a note saying 'For Nightwing - hope this helps :)' and Dick was definitely real suspicious of it at first but gradually realized it was trustworthy information and was thankful for it but only truly relaxed later after meeting ShadowWing and confirming that it came from him).

This was laying around in my drafts but I'm definitely gonna come back to it at some point when I feel less run over by a truck. It's my baby and holds a special place in my heart. Also just gonna say I do love big buff omega Jason it's just not really what matches what's in my brain for this particular au. The idea of Jason remaining more Robin shaped just really sunk its claws into me when I was thinking this up

DickJay omegaverse au where Jason's feral omega side changes his plans as soon as he gets to Gotham and sees mistreated pups in his territory (also Dick goes to kill the Joker shortly after finding out about Jason's death and Jason found out about it before getting set up in Gotham. He's obviously pissed that Bruce brought the Joker back instead of just letting him stay dead but he really appreciates Dick avenging him so he's a lot less unhinged with pit rage knowing that at least Dick cared about him enough to want to put his murderer in the ground. This also happened before the Joker kidnapped Tim so that doesn't happen in this au).

He completely abandons his plan to attack Titan's Tower after seeing Robin getting injured by a bunch of goons ganging up on him (Tim is tiny and hurt and stifled a whimper as best he could but Jason still heard it and suddenly he's no longer a replacement he's just a pup and Jason loves pups and how dare those bastards hurt his pup). Jason kina loses himself in the feral omega green rage and the next thing he knows he's surrounded by dead and injured bodies and snarling at whoever is still alive with the tiny Robin craddled protectively to his chest. Tim is blue screening bc holy shit the Red Hood is holding him after killing a bunch of goons and wait a minute that helmet may have a voice modulator but that is very clearly an enraged protective omega snarl he's hearing and holy shit again the Red Hood is an omega!!! The conscious goons run away and Tim decides to take a risk and lets out a scared pup whine. The Red Hood twitches and reacts immediately, bundling Tim up in his arms more comfortably and letting out soothing omega purrs while moving to a more sheltered part of the Alley. The purrs are distorted bc of the helmet but they still help Tim calm down significantly which is wild but that's the least of his concerns. After a while of cuddling they hear a scream and Jason wants to go help but he's gotta protect this pup and Tim recognizes this so he says he's fine and that someone is on their way to get him (he had pressed his panic button a few minutes ago) and he's in a safe spot anyways so Jason leaves to go see what the scream was all about.

Batman arrives for Tim shortly after and Tim immediately starts explaining to him how everything makes sense now that he knows Hood is an omega. He babbles all the way to the Batcave about how it was so obvious and how did they miss it when Hood clearly displayed so many signs of a traumatized feral omega (viciously defensive of his territory, extremely violent towards alphas, obsessive over protecting pups, the list goes on!). They make it to the medbay and he continues sharing his theories with Bruce while Alfred patches him up. He talks about how since Red Hood claimed Crime Alley as his territory it probably feels like all the pups who live there are sort of his and it would make a lot of sense that he's always so agitated and violent bc he's stressed about the wellbeing of the pups he views as being in his care. Bruce reviews Tim's domino footage with him and yeah that's definitely an omega. He files that information away for later.

Later ends up being in just a few days when he runs into the Red Hood after going too close to Crime Alley. Things are getting out of hand and he's a bit desperate so he unconsciously puts a little alpha authority in his voice and Red Hood freezes for all of a half second before being overcome by such overwhelming rage that he doesn't even use his guns anymore, he just relies on sheer physical force to beat down the alpha that had the audacity to try and command him. Bruce hears the downright terrifying snarl the omega growls out and has all of one second to think 'ah I fucked up' before he's running tactically retreating from the confrontation. He makes it out extremely sore and with wounded pride but he's still alive.

Tim saw everything from the cowl footage while in the cave and had already called Dick to ask for help before Bruce even got back. Bruce certainly wasn't too happy walking back in to see his eldest doubled over laughing at the footage of him getting chased off by a feral omega on the Batcomputer but he does think that Tim made the right call in contacting Dick. Nightwing has always been much more successful in talking down and reasoning with adversaries than Batman.

Dick goes out as Nightwing to try his luck at confronting Gotham's new resident crime lord and is quite surprised by how tame the encounter is going. Obviously Hood doesn't show any sort of truly submissive behavior but he's much more subdued than Dick had expected from an omega with such clear hostility towards alphas (at one point he thinks he hears a quiet purr start up but it's cut off immediately so surely he imagined it right?). He decides to take it as progress and makes his way back to the cave (Bruce is totally not pouting about how differently the Red Hood reacts to Nightwing compared to Batman). Nightwing's next encounter with the Red Hood starts off a bit less friendly considering the fact that Hood was busy beating the shit out of some asshole trying to rob an old lady at knifepoint. Said asshole runs away while Hood is distracted by Nightwing's sudden appearance and that makes Jason angry. He doesn't think about it when he growls at Nightwing for the disturbance. Dick also doesn't think about it when he growls back a warning of his own. They both freeze and Dick thinks he just royally fucked this up but then Hood lets out a low, apologetic omega whine. Suddenly they're both stunned and Jason makes a very tactical escape retreat before Dick's brain comes back online.

Back at the cave Dick, Tim, and Bruce (he's totally not offended by how differently the Red Hood reacted to his alpha versus Dick's...not at all) review Nightwing's domino footage and now they're even more confused. They all knew that rogues usually found Nightwing much more agreeable than Batman but this was different. No rogue they'd ever faced, omega or not, had ever come close to acting even a bit submissive towards them so this was baffling. At first Dick thought maybe he heard it wrong but watching the footage over and hearing it again there was no mistaking it. That was the whine of an apologetic omega trying to soothe their alpha's irritation at them. Clearly whoever the Red Hood was had to have known Dick before, otherwise there wouldn't be any reason to act this way. The Nightwing suit blocked his scent so there was no way that this was a result of pheromone attraction but Dick couldn't think of anyone who might be the Red Hood.

Meanwhile Jason is back at one of his safehouses curled up in a makeshift nest absolutely freaking out over the whole situation. How could he let out such a pathetic sound? He's supposed to be the Red fucking Hood damnit! But he really did feel so guilty for growling at his alpha like that...wait no not his alpha...shit. His omega had already started thinking of Dick as his alpha subconsciously hadn't it...great. Jason thinks about it and yeah this is definitely gonna make continuing as a crimelord and executing his revenge plans for Bruce significantly harder.

The Red Hood lays low for a couple weeks after...the incident (he's absolutely still beating himself up for succumbing to his instincts so easily). Nightwing had tried locating him again but no matter how stealthy he was it seemed like the omega had a sixth sense for noticing him and bolted before Dick could get within even 10 feet of the man. It was truly infuriating and Dick was still frustrated that he couldn't think of anyone who could possibly be under that red helmet.

I swear every time I start trying to write more something happens to ruin it ugh. I've gotten sick back to back so my brain is basically running at bare minimum capacity. I'll probably post some rambles from my drafts but actually updating anything is unlikely until I feel better and not like I've been smacked in the face with a brick wall
