Jayson | The Little Boy Downstairs.
âI donât go outside⊠Do other kids live here?â Nikita huffed and ate another piece of her pop tart leaving four little squares left and the pile of crust. âWhy not.. We can go outside, itâs okay. We are safe in the backyard nobody can hurt us..â She ate another piece and picked up her milk and took a sip. âI know of one other little girl but sheâs a mean, gross, unworthy little girl.â She huffed thinking about Savannah. âShe isnât worth your time Prince Jayson.â She smiled and ate another piece leaving two. She kicked her legs and drank some more milk quickly finishing off the rest of her pop tart. She nibbled on the crust which was her favorite part as she thought about things. Once she finished she gave a happy sigh. âI just love that part!â She finished up her milk before bunching up paper towel and shoving it in the empty mini carton of milk. With a yawn she got off her seat and skipped to the trash can throwing everything away. Walking back over to Jayson she pulled her phone out and checked the time. It was only 7:20 she had two hours before she had to go to the bus stop. Smiling she held out her hand for Jayson and nodded. âIt wonât hurt I promise, I have some chalk outback letâs go play.â She smiled at him and begged him with her eyes.
âWhy not.. We can go outside, itâs okay. We are safe in the backyard nobody can hurt us..â Jayson was skeptical of the girl, but as he looked out the window at everything outside, he felt an anxiousness. He wanted to see what was out there, maybe be happy, so he nodded. "Okay." He said quietly, taking another bite of his food. âI know of one other little girl but sheâs a mean, gross, unworthy little girl." He scrunched his brows together, wondering what the girl had done to deserve such names. Maybe she would think that way of him if she knew he was different. âShe isnât worth your time Prince Jayson.â He looked at her in confusion. Prince? "What's a prince?" He asked, baffled by the word. Jayson looked even more confused as he saw her pull out a strange box from her pocket. The buttons on it glowed and it had words on the screen, he had never seen anything like it. She reached out her hand, and he hesitantly took it. âIt wonât hurt I promise, I have some chalk outback letâs go play.â Jayson felt a bit silly. He liked that Nikita wanted him to play with her, but he had never experienced any of these things, so he was clueless as to almost anything that came out of this girl's mouth.
