jabber pulls up to some cleaner op in like normal clothes, not his raider gear. he's not exactly helping, but he's also not exactly hindering, so they mostly ignore him. there are trash beasts after all. he's attacking them if they get close to zanka and zanka is just letting it happen? eventually the trash beasts stop coming toward them, so zanka lets lovely go to sleep and straps her across his back. jabber keeps mankira out, both for defense and because he knows zanka is a little crazy about jinkis. jabber circles zanka like a shark or a cat, depending on your perspective, and as he rounds zanka's back, he touches lovely. rudo sees this as the fight is wrapping up and gets really up in arms about it. "why can that fucking paycho touch your jinki but i cant? he's literally tried to kill me and you, twice! but—" on and on for like 5 entire minutes. jabber is tickled, but remains on his good boy shit. zanka is fuming. it explodes into an argument. the hurt simmers for a while with habber sometimes showing up to like the wound. eventually rudo breaks and admits that he thought he and zanka were getting closer and that he never had siblings but zanka is the closest thing etc etc. zanka feels his heart break because he was in rudo's shoes but his siblings shot him down without mercy, so he handles rudo with care and explains (very embarrassed) that he's weird about jinkis, especially his own, and not to take it personally because he doesnt even let enjin touch lovely. rudo asks why jabber could and that's when zanka blurts smth really truly embaressing. like cannot come back from levels of unholy. rudo leaves bc wth and then jabber pops up to poke fun at rudo, but zanka stops him and explains. jabbers a little put out, but he keeps prodding for more info and gets the unholy confession from zanka to. then they fight. and then makeout.
