I wonder if they removed this version because it would’ve required more of an animation budget. (The original version with the copy and pasted repeated audio line is iconic in its own way, however).

i may have moved out but i still don't feel safe hanging a lesbian flag in my room so my current plan is to crochet a whole bunch of flowers, with each colour of the lesbian flag as a different flower, as my cute and "subtle" pride flag

also tbh i think that would suit my aesthetic more than a flag

here are my current plans

- dark pink = larkspur (because everything is about nancy drew to me)

- light pink = lily

- white = daisy

- light orange = tulip

- dark orange = roses

i made one tiny daisy yesterday i just need to make a bunch more

i also need to buy some yarn because i have green for the stems and leaves i have white and yellow for the daisies but nothing else matches the flags accurately, but im too broke for that right now so it will be a lot of empty stems for now hahah

i just finished until dawn for the first time and i realised how fun it would be to have a nancy drew game with proper choices like not even death but like what if suspects could escape, or if she didn't spend enough time interrogating each or asking the right questions with the right evidence, what if they get away with it

what if she can accuse someone and have them be arrested for the crime and we never know at the end of the game if she was correct or not, it's up to the player to choose if that ending was right for them if they felt like they investigated it enough

i have $20 to buy my groceries for the week because i am not getting unemployment money yet they haven't processed my forms and i keep getting rejected from jobs

time to really lock in and compare the price of everything in every store

i'm going to map out what i think i can meal prep the most out of the least amount of ingredients and then search online so i can have a shopping list for each store

in the summer i want to go nancy drew hunting for a day

by that i mean exploring all the second hand shops in my city in search of nancy drew books/old relics that feel nancy drew related to me

i will decide the finer details closer to the time but id like to sit in cafes and park benches reading them and eat food nancy would have enjoyed (luncheon core)

OH and i shall end my evening playing a nancy drew game of course and recreating what I personally imagine a koko kringle to taste like, along with trying to use a recipe from one of the games too

everytime i read a nancy drew book i start looking at trying to bulk buy more and i have to stop myself

deep inside me is the desperate need to be a collector and the rational part of me knows i do not need to do that and i can literally read them on my kobo e-reader

anyway yeah i procrastinated my super important work this evening and read secrets can kill but i loved it im so deep in the nancy drew hyperfixation i can't wait to allow myself time to be creative with it

i think i have decided stfd is my comfort nancy drew game

if i need to have something in the background while i work i tend to pick that one as the vod of choice

even tho the general vibe is a bit eerie and i feel a bit on edge there's something comforting and magical about the clunky gameplay and the ancient graphics - i also think i enjoy that it doesn't have a huge pile of unrelated puzzles and you can genuinely follow and understand the story

best part has to be either the wonderfully edited photos or the totally monotone disinterested voice actor for william pappas

NO I LIE the best part is the ending sequence omg theres nothing more iconic on earth how could i forget

first the most hilarious slow motion running from dwayne with ralph charging behind just incredible what a perfect collision

and then the underrated genius of having ralph conveniently bent over with his hat blocking is face for his first line, and then dwayne's head positioned in front of his mouth justtttt in time for his second line

it's the equivalent of me drawing every character with their hands behind their backs as a child so i didn't have to draw hands

im sure none of this is new opinions but god i love this silly game

also so rare to see a proper confrontation/arrest before being hit with the letter so i like that a lot too

finishing college next week and i have a job interview (as a server :/) i can't wait to be free and have some money finally

:/ only because i hated my last serving job but hopefully if i get this it will be ok while i look for other jobs in my field!!!
