Great performance last night by Greg Abate Quartet at East Ferry in Jamestown. I took this picture walking back to the car.
Phil Haynes will be in the WRIU studio tomorrow with a copy of his new album "Sanctuary". We'll be playing some of that and some tracks from his upcoming Free Country live recording "'60/'69".
For those of you who missed it, the Greg Abate interview from May 19th on WRIU is available for streaming or download at:

He'll be playing with the Joe Potenza Trio this Friday at the Aspire Jazz Lounge at the Hotel Providence.
Special thanks to Leslie Hollis for the use of the pic.

Dave Holland
I first saw Dave Holland play with Barry Altschul and George Lewis at Real Art Ways in Hartford CT in the summer of 1978. I was mind boggled and bought an upright bass a couple of weeks later.
