No but like why am I tearing up at my own story that I wrote? I'm not meant to be crying but I am. WHY?! ššš
The Hook family
James Killian Hook
Taught all his kids to swear
Gave Harry his hook (canon)
Was the one to train Harriet after she lost her eye
Refuses to get a proper prosthetic even now when they're off the island
Named all the kids because he does not trust his husband when it comes to naming both people and animals
Hates phones with all his heart
Still hates Peter Pan and has taught all his kids to hate him too
Struggles to show his kids emotional support but would die for them
Morgie le Fay Hook
The reason James is not dead
Loves all kinds of animals but especially snakes
Now that they're off the island he moved his family into his mother's residence since she's dead
Likes to dress fancy no matter the occasion
Earns money by making potions and selling them
The emotionally stable one in his and James's marriage but if something happens to any of their children he's more scary than James
Very affectionate to all his kids
Teaches them magic whenever they visit
Henrietta Wendy Hook
Will kill you if you call her anything but Harriet if you're not family
Lost her eye when she was 10
The most like James out of all her siblings, not just appearance wise
After the barrier was down she met a fast flying fairy who she was the spawner to, they're best friends
Moved herself and her entire crew to Neverland, will stay there until CJ reaches her age
Will behead Peter Pan if he ever comes near her ship
Thanks to Iris she uses pixie dust frequently and is respected by the fairies of Neverland
Hurt one of her siblings and you'll suffer a fate worse than death
Harrison Liam Hook
Puts on this crazy persona for everyone around him but is actually very sensitive
Helps his sisters do their hair whenever they ask him
This is what prepared him for helping Uma with her hair
Very much protective over his sisters
Uma and Gil the only ones except his family who knows his name is actually Harrison and that he has two dads (will explain why in a later post)
Terrified of spiders
When he started attending AP he was very pissed they didn't serve alcohol
Tries to hide it but loves using his magic almost as much as swordfighting
Calista Jane Hook
The most chaotic of her siblings and that's saying a lot
The baby
Her and Harriet team up whenever Harry starts a fight with either of them
Steals pixie dust from Harriet whenever she can and has gotten in trouble for flying and crashing into things
Very annoyed over how protective Harry and Harriet are over her
Is awful at puns (canon)
When she was little she tried to dye her hair black to look more like her siblings
Will not hesitate to play dirty when fighting There is loads more to come (hopefully)
I LOVE this so much. (isn't Harry's middle name 'james'?
in primary school we had a creative writing assignmentĀ where we had toĀ āwrite about a character in a new, strange situation!ā and i wrote about a squid that was somehow teleported from the ocean to the forest floor and slowly choked to death for two pages and iāllĀ never quite forget my teacherās face because it turns out she wantedĀ āthis new school is scary, i hope i make friends!ā and not a graphic description of a squid dying
well thatās just the risk you take if you decide to teach creative writing
Back in school, one of my friendsā psychology teacher gave them two black and white printed pictures and gave them the assignment of showing the pictures to a few students not from their class and asking those students to write whatever story comes to their mind at the pictures.
Then said teacher would evaluate the different stories to analyze someoneās psyche or whatever.
Anyways, she asked me and I agreed and wrote her two stories for two pictures, the story I pictured looking at what I thought was happening in the pictures.
A few weeks later, I met my friend again and asked her what her teacher evaluated from my story.
She fell silent for a moment and then said that her teacher couldnāt evaluate your story and she had to ask someone else to write one. I still donāt know understand why she couldnāt evaluate the story I wrote. Was it too long? It was barely three to four pages. Was it too complex? It was based upon the pictures entirely but of course the story will get a tiny bit more complex then the picture to make sense as a story.
Maybe that so-called psychology teacher just wanted the volunteers to describe the picture without any story? Who knows, I donāt remember. I was just very disappointed and slightly annoyed. Your instructions were clearly followed and someone gave their time and effort to write something, a wholeass story but you rejected it because you couldnāt psychologically evaluate it? Perhaps you needed a different approach if you couldnāt analyze the authorās psyche by a simple story with very obvious themes and very clear characterizations. Next time just tell the kids to describe the picture instead of going āwrite a story based on what you see in this pictureā. Or learn to actually understand the concept of creativity.
ā¦.
This has derailed a bit from og post but my point is, I hate when schools and teachers in so many places treat creative writing as something which should follow a very specific set mould of a theme and a firmly set, unchangeable format. Itās called creative for a reason, learn to look at the variety from the terribly mundane stuff overwritten a million times
In year 7, I was meant to write a fantasy story (my teacher meant, castles, princesses, dragons etc) I wrote about how someone traveled back in time but focused on how this lady was getting brutally whipped for a page or two

Itās been like that since it came out
What does serpentine actually mean though?
It means to be like a snake but it can also mean a dark green mineral that is usually related with snake shin or it's texture
