Such a boring couple of weeks, called back to London by his father and forced to sit through family engagements, the boring things that he didn’t understand why he had to do them. Still, he was finally able to get away once more, back to the island that he hadn’t been able to fully enjoy before he was pulled away. “So what’s good around here? I’ve been bored shitless for weeks I need something or someone to do.”

Jagger had been on the island for a bit, and he was starting to get slightly antsy. His whole life had been non-stop until he arrived here. Having nothing much to do and no routine was starting wear on him slightly. “I wish I could help you out, I’ve just been visiting the library a bit and the pool sometimes,” he offered with a shrug.”

“Do you think it’s BAD that I’m already kind of DONE with my vacation?” Khloe hummed, frowning a bit as she glanced to the person next to her. She had hardly even stayed on Eros for long, just about a week. And she had promised herself to take it chill for several weeks, how was she supposed to MAKE it through if she was already now itching to get back to work? “The place is GREAT, don’t get me wrong. I just don’t know what to do with all this free time I now have, you know?” 

“I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily a bad thing,” he replied with a small shrug of his shoulders, “People rest and recharge at different rates I guess.” Jagger didn’t know how long she’d been here, but he knew that for himself he didn’t do exceedingly well with copious amounts of free time. “Yeah, I can understand that feeling. I feel sort of useless not doing much for long periods of time.”

The place was quite extensive and there were so many places that you could find on a daily basis and so many where you could hide so it was no wonder the other was just trying to feel the place out; “Well let me join you and you can tell me a little about yourself and where you came from and I’ll do the same-… sound good?”

He figured he couldn’t be the only person that came to this island that was a bit overwhelmed by the size of it. Jagger tried to take comfort in that when he was looking down corridors that seemed to look similar. “That would be really nice actually, having company always makes things better.”

Jagger had never been the most outgoing man in the world. Of course he could keep up a conversation once it presented itself to him, though starting one? That was not is forte. Coming to this island was a new start if there ever was one for him, a place full of risks he’d never taken. After leaving his room, Jagger set out for this magical interaction. He was praying he’d stumble upon a familiar face in hopes to make the process easier. As soon as that thought had crossed his mind he noticed just that. A small smile tugged at the corner of his lips as he approached the woman. “Fancy meeting you here,” he started with a slight nervous chuckle, “long time no see.” @sloanramsey

“It’s alright, it happens all the time.” Nikita laughed, patting the spot next to her. “Here for a light dip?” she asked, kicking her legs slowly in the water with a smile on her lips. “I’m Nikita,” she said softly, offering a hand out for him to shake. She knew she would get her confidence back the longer she stayed around. Meeting people always helped at least. “How long have you been here?” she asked, though she wasn’t sure if that was proper etiquette.

A smile rested over his features as the woman patted the spot beside her. He moved to pull off his socks and shoes, rolling up his pants before dipping his feet into the water. “I’m not much of a swimmer, but I’m always up to put my feet in.” He reached his own hand out to shake the woman’s. “It’s nice to meet you, Nikita. I’m Jagger.” A smile still evident on his face. “Not too long, still trying to get into the swing of being here I guess. How about you?”

Lissa knew the corridors could be quite confusing especially too someone whose feet had never touched Eros’s soil before, but they didn’t have to fret because Lissa had a clear schedule and hadn’t been summoned yet so she was hear to help; “Oh that happens to so many people especially since my door way is right by the turning point, were you trying to get somewhere?”

Jagger was thankful for the woman reaching out to him. At times he was too proud to ask for help, always believing he had to do everything on his own. So to have someone notice his missteps and offer some assistance was greatly appreciated. “I’m really just trying to get a feel of this place you know? Not going to any place in particular.”

nikita aimed to appear confident at all times, and most of the time it worked. she wasn’t in her element right now though. she was in a strange new place, surrounded by strangers and there were a lot of rules to follow. but nikita never bowed to her own anxiety, so she left her shared suite in the bikini she had been given upon arrival and found the pool. she was perched at the edge of the pool with her legs dipped in the cool water when someone stood over her shoulder. “oh, you spooked me.” she said with a grin, looking up. 

Jagger liked to wander around whenever he was in a new area. He wanted to make sure he had the lay of the land hoping that it would ease the anxiety of being in a foreign place. The man didn’t have the best sense of direction and with one turn of a corner he spotted the pool. He didn’t have his bathing suit on, but he could still put his feet in the water. Jagger noticed a person beside the water and made his way over to them, he was about to address his presence though the woman turned around before he could. “Oh I’m sorry. I was just about to say something,” he added with a small nervous laugh.

Sitting on her bed she had seen a few people here and there float past and each time she looked up to see a familiar guard or other wandering the halls but this time she looked up she saw someone she hadn’t encountered today; “Hey are you lost? You’ve been pacing a while”

Jagger hadn’t been around this place too long and he really didn’t have the best sense of direction. He was trying to figure is way through the corridors on his own, trying to get a feel for the area, though he must have taken one too many turns and now was a bit confused. Hearing the voice he let out a small nervous chuckle, “Uh, yeah. I turned one corner and forgot the way I came I think.”

sloanramsey‌:

She’d never actually had someone who was paired to her since coming to the island, so honestly she had no idea what route she was supposed to take with him.  The way that Diana spoke so fondly of her asset had Sloan wanting that for herself, a connection more meaningful than just sex, but she had no idea how that was supposed to even come about.  She’d been scorned by a man she thought was her happily ever after, so it’s not like she was very trusting.  "Tell me about yourself Jagger, spare no details, I want to see what i’m getting myself into with you.“  Finishing her drink, it did not last long given the attitude that she already seemed to be shaking, "while we walk though, I want to show you what being my asset grants you.”

The bit of nerves that had left his gut slithered back to their previous residence. Now hearing that the woman was paired with him, he didn’t want to do anything wrong. He wasn’t sure how any of this worked in actuality, but he didn’t want to mess anything up. Jagger got to his feet as the woman had said to walk as he spoke, interested to see what she spoke of. “There’s not much to say about me if I’m honest. I’ve got two older siblings, a brother and a sister. I’m twenty-two. I was in school for social work, but financially it wasn’t possible so I worked more than full time trying to make it happen,” only part of that had been a lie. It was a financial burden, though he was too embarrassed to admit it was his friend’s mistakes that had sealed his fate.

“Lovely to meet you too Jagger.”  It really was pretty here, and that was just the hub for the assets she was thinking about with that thought, she could only imagine what it was like in the master homes or the beaches. It made her excited at the prospect of being rented and taken out in the future. See what the full island had to offer. “If you like fantasy, I’d say any of the Harry Potter books - or the Lord of the Rings series. If you like classics, I would say Shakespeare or Dickens. I myself am on a Shakespeare binge.” she held up a book in hand.

Jagger hadn’t an idea of what to really expect when coming to the island, but he was pleasantly surprised when he realized how nice it was. He hadn’t been out of the hub yet, though he wa sure it was going to be as lovely as the little windows gave him a glimpse of. “I never read the Lord of the Rings series so I think that’s a safe bet. Personally I’m not a big Shakespeare man,” he replied with a small shrug.

The other looked so young and unsure of himself that he wondered what kind of position he held here. Either way he wanted to keep an eye out for him to make sure that if he needed anything he was there; “I am well actually, I can’t complain too much. The weather is really nice and I am enjoying it very much. What about yourself? Have you got a favourite place around here?”

It wasn’t like Jagger knew what he was really doing as an asset either. Just trying to go with the flow and not let his nerves take over him, so he could understand that the other didn’t feel as though he knew everything. “Yeah the weather is pretty amazing, not a dull or dreary day in sight. I can’t complain either to be honest. I like the library, I’m a fan of less populated places,” he replied with a chuckle.

The second he mentioned his name to her she could have sworn she’d heard it before, but just by looking at him she’d have DEFINITELY remembered him.  Where had she heard his name so recently?  The more he spoke though she found herself starting to laugh, “that’s it, it makes sense now!”  She should probably tell him what she was refering to, “you know how all assets are paired with a master or mistress the island thinks they’re compatible with?”  She liked to clean, he was an organizer, and neither of them used alcohol as an absolute crutch.  "Well, you’re mine, my asset that is,“ she wasn’t exactly sure how it was supposed to be said so she just went for it.  "Sloan Ramsey, your mistress,” her introduction was supposed to be humorous as she held a hand out in the most formal of ways, granted on the island they were meant to be anything BUT formal.  "This is NOT a disappointment,“ she was so worried about her asset and now here he was, right in front of her and cute as ever.  "I hope the feelings mutual?”

A look of confusion brushed over his features as the woman’s small outburst, trying to understand what she was talking about. Though it ebbed away as she continued talking. A small blush starting to form on his cheeks as he followed her words. Before she had even finished speaking, Jagger was able to follow where she was going with her words. The woman was unbelievably gorgeous and in this moment he truly considered himself lucky to hear that she was his paired mistress. A lopsided smile started to form on his features, a soft chuckle falling from his lips. “The feeling is definitely mutual, Miss,” he replied sticking his own hand out to reach hers.

“Same, very much same. I’m Eloise.” She held out her free hands to the male to shake in greeting. “I’m new here too, it’s beautiful here isn’t it? I think you stay in my suite actually!” She’d came in late, but she was sure she had seen the back of him that morning leaving the suite. She picked up the copy of MacBeth she’d found moments before. “Do you mind if I sit with you while I read? It’s night to have a friendly face around.” while she was actually rather excited about this new venture in life, it was still new, still scary, but having someone also new to share it with might actually be a good thing.

“Nice to meet you, Eloise. I’m Jagger” he replied as he moved to shake the woman’s hand. “It’s definitely much prettier than I thought it would be. Oh yeah,” he mused with a soft grin playing over his features. Jagger hadn’t been the most observant after he’d just arrived on the island. “I don’t mind at all. I just have to find something to read first. Any recommendations?” he asked with a small chuckle.

“That’s okay. That makes two of us, doesn’t it now?” being friendly to the other asset holding his hand out for a good ol’ fashion hand shake; “It’s nice to meet you Jagger I’m Teddy and it’s lovely to meet your acquaintance”

Jagger stuck his hand out to shake the other man’s before moving to shove both hands into his pockets. “It’s lovely to make your acquaintance as well,” he replied with a small grin resting over his features. “How are you besides the whole guidance thing?”

The red head was looking through the spines of the books in the library appreciatively. The hub had a larger library than the actual public library back home and she felt like a kid in a candy store. Fingers gently brushed the spines until they landed on one of her favourite books. Hearing footsteps, Eloise looked over her shoulder. “Is there any rules on assets borrowing books?” she tried to remember the rules, expectations and explanations when she’d arrived, but apparently not everything had sunk in fully yet.

Jagger always felt a bit more comfortable when he was in a quieter place, and the common areas of the hub were sometimes full of people idly chatting. Heading up to the library was the best bet for him, hoping it wouldn’t have too many individuals in it, then he’d pick a book and spend a bit of time reading it there. He made his way to one of the shelves, eyes scanning the titles for either something familiar or something that piqued his interests. A voice brought him out of that. “Um, I don’t think so. But I’m pretty new here so I don’t fully remember, sorry.” he offered sympathetically.

Her eyebrow rose when he declined the offer, this having been the first asset she’d met that actually WASN’T much of a drinker.  "Let’s hope Eros doesn’t change that about you,“ she knew as well as anyone that this island could be stressful, ESPECIALLY for the assets.  He seemed to have a good head on his shoulders though, she was quite impressed even in the short time they’d interacted.  He was DIFFERENT, that was for sure, a breath of fresh air.  When he brought up coloring she couldn’t help but laugh, "you’re ADORABLE, do you know that?”  On an island that catered to sex she’d managed to sit next to the one asset who thought coloring could relieve stress (she totally agreed but wasn’t going to admit it).  "You’re cute, what’s your name?“  She asked, still having a good chuckle about the coloring book.  She’d have to remember that, maybe put an order in for one if she were to run into this asset again (not having ANY clue yet that he was her suggested, his name would change all of that).  "I clean,” she spoke up after taking another drink, “when I need to calm down that is, and i’m talking like hands and knees deep scrubbing.”  She was a trophy housewife for so long, of course it’d make sense that she’d feel calmer doing monotonous chores.  “Not much to do of that around here though is there?”

“I’ll keep my fingers crossed,” he mused lifting a hand with his fingers crossed. Only when he was incredibly stressed did he seek comfort in alcohol, though he hoped he wouldn’t have to resort to that. As nervous as Jagger was to be here, he felt as though in this moment the nerves slowly starting to ebb away as the moment progressed, feeling a bit more comfortable. “I try my very darnedest,” he let slip a quiet chuckle as one hand lifted to rub the back of his neck. “My name’s Jagger, Miss.” he replied with a small grin tugging at the corners of his lips. “Yeah cleaning is definitely a good way to relax. Personally I like to organize things or reorganize them if they’re already organized. Something about putting things nicely and neatly into place is really helpful,” he spoke shrugging his shoulders a bit. “Unfortunately it doesn’t appear that there is much deep scrubbing necessary around here.”
