peter was already on his second slice by the time mj responded, spider-man metabolism fully kicking in at this point. even between bites, he still couldnât help but stare.
her dress, her hair, her face, all of it â and watching her enjoy the pizza along with him, fully and unapologetically, peter had never been more in love than in this very moment.
her comment only sealed the deal further, âi love you tooâ like, a stupid amount,â he mumbled past the crust of his second slice before realizing he probably shouldnât be in the middle of chewing while asking a question like this.
âmove in with me. i mean, not here necessarilyâ this place is a dump. but letâs find a place together, yeah?â he asked expectantly, a hopeful smile on his face and the third slice now in hand, poised to be lifted to his mouth when the moment resolved itself.
Move in with me. Four words and so much meaning. Move in with me. Of course the thought has crossed Mary Janeâs mind. Sheâs in a long term committed relationship. Moving in with Peter would be the natural first step. Itâs not like theyâd have to get married right away ( although thatâs also something sheâs thought of ) or have kids. Theyâd keep doing their lives. Theyâd just be doing it together.
Setting her slice down, MJ angles her body to face Peter fully. âIf you want to live with me, thereâs a few things you have to know,â she warns. âI will take all of the counter space in the bathroom and likely the closet. Iâve been told Iâm a bed hog, but you already know that.â Itâs not like they havenât slept over together. They have a lot. Now the idea of a perpetual sleep over is being offered.
MJ doesnât know why sheâs nervous. Maybe itâs the fact that sheâs never lived with a partner before. Sheâs always had a space to retreat to after dates and unwind. Itâs not to say that she wonât be able to if Peter was there, but itâll definitely be different. That doesnât stop her from nodding her head.
âYeah, yeah. You know what? Letâs do this. Apartment shopping in New York is going to be a bitch, but youâre worth it. Weâre worth it.â
