Life is a Choice
I believe that life is a matter of choices, and your every choices makes you. Like Graham Brown says “Life is about choices. Some we regret, some we’re proud of. Some will haunts us forever. We are what we chose to be”. My name is John Cedric T. Lindo, taking a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Marketing Management at Batangas State University and I will tell you about why I chose marketing and what it takes to be MARKETISTA
Business Administration and even to be a marketing student is not my first choice course and planned to be when I was a high school student. Because you know all I want is to become a doctor someday, simply just because my dream is to help other people, to cure diseases and to give others more chances to live longer in their life. But suddenly it didn’t happen because of our money is not enough to support me. Then I thought that I have skills in communication and then I plan to take Dev Com because it will enhance my knowledge about communication and also help me to be ready in entering into world of multimedia, but again it didn’t happen. All of my choices give me a gateway to choose Marketing.
I’ve learned a lot in my first two years in college. I experienced to be the president of the class for I think 3 consecutive semester or the whole two years. I’ve experienced to communicate, to transact and to deal in to other people in so many different cases. I’ve learned to manage myself and others, understand them in so many aspect and balanced everything that happened inside and outside the room. I thought I know everything. I thought my knowledge and experiences is enough. I thought that I’m ready to be marketing student.
Marketing tells me a lot, marketing is an eye opener and marketing opens a lot of opportunity for me. There is always a time that this major will challenge and measure everything about you. Your leadership, your communication, your emotion, your skills and everything. Marketing gives me a time to shine and show my talents in hosting and in singing. It is also a gateway for you to enlarge your networks, and meet a lot people that may help you in the future businesses and everything. In this major you will experience changing your mood many times in just one day. In this field they will teach you not just to be a follower or to be a leader but both to be always. In this field you have to balance everything, to be professional as always. In this field your creativity will be formed and bloomed. As a leader, I have to be more positive even if I’m surrounded by negative happenings just to bring or to give or to lead others.
Theirs more and more about marketing that you never expect to happen, this field is not just give you knowledge but a lot more experiences that you will treasure and use when you enter into the real world of business.
I never regret to choose marketing because marketing is everything, marketing is family.
