you woke up to the warm feeling of someone’s skin on yours.
the intrusive sensation pulled you out of slumber, but upon opening your eyes to clearly confirm if there was a problem, you sunk back onto the mattress. a smile was already on your face at the sight of seungcheol, who was tenderly rubbing your stomach with his hand.
“good morning,” you heard him whisper against your stomach, a gentle, contented grin on his face.
you decided to tease him by laying flat on yiur stomach, back facing him. “you’re being creepy.”
he huffed, rolling his eyes before he reated beside you. seungcheol placed an arm around your waist before he pulled you closer to him.
quietly, he pressed a kiss against your temple. “i wanted to greet my baby a good morning but you had to come in and disturb.”
“well if you didn't wake me up then i wouldn't have disturbed your time with them.” you retorted. he leaned back as you lay on your side to face him.
he chuckled. “right, fine.”
he ran his fingers through your hair, and you closed your eyes. this gesture always had a calming effect on you, and seungcheol knew that very well.
“i can't wait to know if its a he or a she,” he mumbled.
“well then you're gonna have to wait,” you told him. “i’d like it to be a she though.”
he shrugged, his cheeks dusted pink as he grinned at the thought. “well, i wouldn't mind a little [y/n] running around the house“
you rolled your eyes, mimicking his fake-mocking tone, as you sarcastically spoke, “oh, but i would mind a little seungcheol running around the house. you’re a handful already.”
“oh, but wouldn't you like that though?” he reasoned after chuckling at your statement. “two best things under the same roof. lucky you.”
you giggled at the thought. “lucky me.”

it’s crazy we’ve been dating for as long as we have been. almost two years now, and to be honest, it seems like we haven’t connected in the last one and a half. you said you love me, and i’m sure you do. but we’re not right for each other, and i can’t believe it’s taken me so long to say so.

And he’s scared of that. So he slumps in his seat, sipping dejectedly on his banana milk because his head is full of maybe maybe maybes as if the word could shield him from the truth that he is afraid of what he feels, and Jay eyes him like a parent watches a child. “You good?”
Grimly, he nods. “Just a case of the Mondays.”
